I got a NYS inspection in May 2025 from Bellerose Car Care. Hasib was the manager there at the time of my inspection and he later moved to Rice's Automotive. Hasib had ordered the wrong front tires for my car, which caused several dashboard errors. He had me come to Rice's Automotive (new shop he is now at) to resolve issues from my inspection. Hasib realized and admitted he had ordered front tires that are the wrong size for my car but he blames the mechanic (Ernie) for installing those wrong tires and he says it's Ernie's fault. He sent me to Hempstead Discount Tire (where Ernie is now at) and that Ernie will take care of the situation and fix it. I went there and Ernie said it's not his fault and it's Hasib's fault and that he (Ernie) will not be fixing the tires. Hasib said he feels bad and he will have his mechanic (Cruz) fix this situation Instead of providing the new tires I was owed and paid for, Cruz installed old, used tires from 2023. The proof was undeniable: one tire had a visible, pre-existing patch on it. This same patched tire went completely flat hours after I drove home I called Cruz immediately and he said to bring the car back and he'll take care of it. At this point, my trust was completely broken. A shop that passes off old, defective parts as a legitimate 'fix' is not a shop that operates with integrity and an excellent standard of service and I refused to waste any more time in receiving a bare minimum standard of service Their solution was minimal and dishonest I would not recommend this shop to anyone read more

They took the car at 11 and by 1:30 they called us letting me know the car was ready for pickup. I was actually not expecting the car to be ready so soon. My dad has been a customer here for so many years and has brought in so many different vehicles it's the only shop I've ever been to. They've always been extremely professional and respectful to me. And whatever issue my charger is experiencing is taken care of by the end of the day. They are a busy repair shop ( always a lot of cars in the lot ) but they do try and work as fast as possible and the price is very fair. I took my car there on Monday because there was a misfire. The engine light was on. Tony the guy who Works there said that he will work on it. By the end of the day he said he didn't get time to check my car. Wow. Next day he does check for some codes and says he's too busy and bring it back on Wednesday. I call him Wednesday he's too busy and gives me appointment for Thursday. Thursday morning I'm there as soon as they open their business. Tony said let me check your car and speak to my boss and I'll then tell you about it. I left from that place and in 15 mins he calls me and tells me that he really have got no time to work on my car. He's a liar. If you have too many cars to work on don't make fake promises. I called him a day ago and asked him I'll only bring the car if you are gonna work on it. And he said I promise Thursday I'll work on your car and he did not. Very casually asked me to take the car back. Just tell the customer in the first place that you don't have time. About 8 months ago, I bought my car from this auto shop.. they seemed very nice, the price was reasonable; they had told me that they had put a new transmission in my car and did all this added stuff, which I was very excited about. Its my first car, so you can understand how important this was to me. Fast forward to last month, I was having some serious problems with my car and the check engine light coming on. I brought the car to them, and one other place and Rice auto said that nothing seemed to be a problem, we took my car to another place they said its probably a sensor.. and If the light comes back on after they replace the sensor its probably that I need a new tranny. The light came back on, and after nonsense on the phone, and coming back and forth to the shop.. they tell us that I need a new tranny, and that its gonna be 1800 which is what I paid for the car when I bought it. Long story short, this place is a waste of YOUR time, stay clear of it. They seem friendly, but they aren't very honest, the transmission was NOT new, and they didn't even offer to fix it at a discounted rate for me after only having the car for 8 months and believe me I'm not a crazy driver, its an old lady car, and I am maintaining it in that condition. Dennis' Auto in Garden city, is my alternative now! They're a little pricey but they are honest, and get the job done. read more

got a wheel alignment done with minimum wait and was impressed by the computerized system they have plus other modern equipment. they have 4 lifts and 1 truck lift recently installed. tony at front desk was very pleasant and i also met kevin the owner who is a smart thinking mechanic and i can see why their lot usually is full of cars because they don't beat around the bush or cut angles repairing your vehicle. come see for yourself. 2 thumbs up. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! Guy at front desk is rude and lazy. They installed BAD BULBS when i got my HID's and overcharged me for extra unnecessary bulbs. NEVER use this repair shop, they are the Worst scam artists. Me and my wife brought in our cars for a steering angle calibration and wheel skidding, they carried out every unnecessary part change to the tune of $1800 without fixing the initial problem. They kept my car to try and run out the warranty coverage period and find every irrelevant excuse no to refund me or honor their warranty, including stating that a minor bumper crack accident i had with the car nullified their warranty coverage. Also be careful what you sign with those guys, they are EXTREME FRAUD STARS and include a lot of lies in their paperwork. I incurred financial loss due to unnecessary and poor quality repair by them. The service here is overpriced. If you shop around, you could easily find a better price. With that in mind, the location is what attracted me for service, I did not want to travel far out of my commute for car repair. The communication was poor and I was told items with my job were done which were not. I was told my custom exhaust was welded and that was not the case. I was lead back in for service due to my car being suddenly disabled on the road, the exhaust dropped WHILE I was driving. I decided to take my car to someone else after my disabled return. After I took it to a better mechanic, I was shown my secondary 0² sensor was hit with weld which caused the car to go into limp mode. These sensors are very sensitive, pun not intended. I didn't appreciate the "now I have to do this, its a bigger job than I thought attitude" I received when I had the job done initially. I was very clear on the custom job I needed done. Its like I was an inconvenience. I am a paying customer. It was not a favor being done, and there certainly was no deal being given at any rate for the job. I wish I was told "we can't do this job" it would have been easier for them and I. Last but not least, my rear bumper was scratched. It was unoticable, but I hand wash my car frequently, so I am aware of all cosmetic blemishes. It's obvious my recommendations of this shop. Buyer BEWARE. read more
