Took my family here for lunch to try a little something different. Upon walking in the hostess didn't ask what side we wanted just walked us to the regular side instead of the hibachi side. The floor is super sticky I thought my foot was going to come out of my shoes a couple of times. The food was okay it wasn't bad but it wasn't great the chef was super awesome probably the best part of the whole meal and of course they give balloons to little kids so it made my sons day. No one ask if we needed refills on drinks or if we needed anything else, the check came we paid and left needless to say I don't think will be returning. read more

My husband and I came here for lunch and we truly enjoyed our experience. The host asked us if we wanted to sit at a booth or sit at the tables where they cook in front of you and we decided a booth. We were seated quickly and our waitress was very nice. We ordered the Ocean Heart Roll and we loved it! We also ordered the emperor dinner for two and it was delicious! It was the hibachi special for two that comes with steak, shrimp and chicken. The clear soup and salad came out quickly and so did our roll. The hibachi special was a large portion of rice and veggies. They did give us a fair amount of steak and chicken but the shrimp was a smaller portion then we were anticipating. We were not able to finish our food so we boxed it all up. The waitress gave us two shrimp sauces without asking to go with our leftovers. The inside is nice. They have a fountain in the middle with fish. One side has booths and the other side is where you can experience a chef cooking in front of you. I would definitely recommend this place if you are feeling Japanese food! read more

Extra star because the grilled food looked good. Unfortunately we had the sushi. The fish to rice ratio was quite poor. Little slivers of fish...and it all tasted the same. Was quite disappointed but like I said I would go back and try the hibachi. read more

Went there with my daughter, it's always fun to have a hibachi meal. The food was good, nothing spectacular. But as we walked out, I saw the sushi. Yummy. I will go back just to have sushi. Staff seemed a little confused, not all "with it" on what our needs were. Maybe new staff. There was a hiring sign at the door. We will return. read more

Great atmosphere and service! Friendly, attentive staff that brings out food quickly! Hibachi grills and sushi lounge for either occasion. Hibachi shrimp and steak was cooked great and tasted great! Entry is a little strangle due to the awkward waiting area that staff are unable to see. Service is decent they greet you and smile but are a bit slow. There are a lot of open spaces but it always takes 10-15 mins to be seated. Other than that the food is pretty good the hibachi grill is quite entertaining and the fried rice is always great. Sushi is a go to for sure. read more

Do not come here. Terrible service. Our waitress checked on us less than 4 times throughout our entire dinner. I ordered a drink and was not informed that it wasn't available until 10 mins later and then the waitress did not ever return to take my replacement order. When our food finally arrived our food it was cold. When I asked for the cold means to be removed from our order the manager instead offered a discount on the bill that did not equal the value of my meal. So after all of this, I repeat. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

This restaurant did not show up when I searched for Seafood restaurants or when I searched for Asian restaurants. But I am glad I found it. Staff was friendly, accommodating, and patience with my family. The different types of food we ordered from the appetizers, side dishes, to the main course was on par with other higher end Japanese restaurants I have been through. Food portions were abundant and decorated. Thanks to our waitress Amy who made our dining pleasing. read more

This place used to be really good but the past several visits have been bad. Either Old rice was served or zero flavor fried rice that you can visibly see that ingredients were not added. I wish this place had proper management because it certainly has potential being being the only hibachi here. read more

Went here for lunch... was very disappointed in the quality of the food as well as the portions. One of us ordered steak and it was very chewy. The vegetables were also very badly cooked (how do you mess up stir fry)? One of us ordered the 16.00 lunch shrimp and scallops and received 4 shrimp and 2 scallops! When we brought his up with our waitress she told us that this was standard. Overall, we were very disappointed, (and it's not like we had high expectations going into it). It somehow doesn't even meet the lowest bar set by lunchtime hibachi restaurants. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at this location. Not only did we have to chase down a server to take our order after about 10 minutes of patiently waiting and watching other tables get their orders taken. We also had to chase down a server to pay for our food once we'd finished. We were given attitude by a very rude younger girl with dark hair appearing to be a host. If I wasn't a server myself I would've never had an issue with my experience this evening but there was never an attempt to right the long wait or horrible service we had experienced just excuses as to why it had happened. We weren't offered a discount or any kind of service they would make up for what we had dealt with. 10/10 would not recommend Make the drive to Beaufort for Sake House if you want to be treated like an actual guest in a restaurant read more

I've been here a few times now for their half priced sushi (monday thru thurseday all day). The prices are more than reasonable and they don't just add a ton of rice to the roll to fill you up. The quality isn't as good as other sushi places, but it's quality is more than sufficent for it's price. The staff can be a little akward at times but I think that's more due to either a culture or language barrier. When I've gone there it's not fast service. So don't go there looking to rush in and out. If you go when you have the time to chat with the person your dining with, it's more enjoyable. Over all this is my go to spot for sushi. It has it's flaws, but well worth the price. read more

We were seated for hibachi at dinner tonight. We ordered a bottle of their most expensive Blackstone Merlot ($32 menu price, $7.49 at Total Wine)...no problem, I expect a restaurant to triple or quadruple their cost to earn a profit. What I do have a problem with is the waitress bringing me an uncorked bottle of wine that is missing 3 inches of wine. When I asked for an unopened bottle of wine she claimed that she had just opened it saying, "trust me, I just opened it , that's how it is supposed to look." I told her she had not just opened it and suddenly a manager appeared with an unopened bottle and proceeded to butcher the cork, but at least we had a full untainted bottle. Hibachi chicken was way overcooked and the wait service was further mediocre aside from the blatant lie about the bottle of wine. Ambiance was typical for this place...incredibly loud. Generous $15 tip on $150. I made a note on the receipt that she ruined her own tip by lying. read more

It's been around for a while and starting to show some age, but dinner last night was very good. I still have a problem with the fact that every time for over 6-7 years their salad is always watery. However, the hibachi food was cooked quickly and was most excellent. Ask for "Timmy" when you go. He does nor mess around and knows how to get things done and flavored well. read more

In town for business and staying across the street- was looking for a sushi place close by and stopped in, ate at the Sushi bar. Friendly staff and reasonable prices, everything was good and fresh, also had the chicken tempura- wasn't blown away but it was fine. I want to rate it zero stars but I can't so 1. I literally hate this place and it's service. I went there the second week they opened. took nearly an hour to get our food. and they fucked up our orders too. sushi for appetizer but nope, we got the sushi when we were done with dinner and got the bill, didn't even want to pay for it. and the place wasn't even busy at all too. people that came after us got their food first. I wouldn't support such restaurant that doesn't even know how to operate right with service. That was my experience the sake house and never going again. read more

We love Sake House. Their assortment of sushi rolls and sashimi options are both excellent. They offer a number of more unique sushi roll combinations and we especially like the Golden Tokyo and Angel Rolls. The vegetable gyoza, miso soup and katsudan are also lovely. Service is also was good and food is fresh and tasty. It's become a regular stop for my husband and I and we visit about once a month. Never a bad experience. read more

Ignore the 3 star avg review. The poor reviews are from a long time ago. We stopped in tonight and I found my new favorite sushi place in Bluffton. Hubs had chicken and filet teriyaki which he said was very good. Huge portion. Best filet he's had in a hibachi meal he said. I loved the miso soup-sometimes they can be bland but this one definitely wasn't. I also loved the dynamite roll. Friendly, attentive service and good food. What more can you ask for? read more

I was not satisfied with the food..The food was not fresh and the server was very rude about some rolls that I ordered that I did not like. Worst attitude telling me I should not have ordered something that I did not like. It was my first time coming here. She making her judgment based off of what other people like. I have my own taste buds to what I do and do not like. They deserve not even one star honestly. I will not be going back. Worst experience ever. read more

My husband especially enjoys the sushi--it's fresh, nicely presented, and has been consistently good. The gyoza is also decent: crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside. And the noodle dish I've had several times is good. That said, our more recent visits have been disappointing overall. I ordered the pho tonight, and while it had a ton of noodles, the broth was almost completely lacking in flavor and there was barely enough of it to call it soup. Pho should be rich and aromatic, and this just didn't hit the mark. Took a few bites and called it. I've also had issues with the chicken in other dishes--it has a very odd, almost rubbery texture that makes it hard to enjoy. We've tried the bento boxes too, and while they look appealing, the meat isn't cooked in the sauce--it's just spooned on top, which leaves the dish feeling disjointed and almost like a microwave dinner feel. Service is another area where the experience falls short. Even when the restaurant isn't busy, the staff tends to be distracted and not very attentive. They're not unfriendly, just not especially engaged or warm, which affects the overall atmosphere. There are definitely some highlights on the menu, and I still think this place has potential if they can improve the consistency and refine the service. For now, Sakyura is a hit-or-miss experience--but we're still hoping it turns into the neighborhood gem we were excited about in the beginning.
