We originally wanted some coffee and stopped by Small World Coffee, but it was incredibly busy. We found this place instead and we liked the space and aesthetic when walking in. I agree with some of the previous reviews that the flow was somewhat awkward. There weren't that many people behind the counter, so it took awhile to receive our drinks because there was really only one person making them. The drinks were great though and I really enjoyed the latte. They said their bestseller is the cortado with oatmilk, which was also really good. read more

This is a very solid specialty coffee roaster! 5/5 We tried both hot and iced drinks, everything was great and we even came back later in the day to get more. A great coffee shop right on the Princeton strip! I came here for a meeting and did need to arrive about 20 minutes early to ensure I could find us a place to sit. Since this is basically on Princeton University's campus, it is often very filled with students (as it should be). So if you are just looking for a place to meet a co-worker or friend, you may just want to account that it will likely be busy often with students. I stopped by Sakrid this afternoon for a coffee, a pastry, and to get some work done. I agree with the previous comment. The flow of the coffee shop needs some work. They should make the checkout counter in the front where the current barstools are and add more barstools to the long counter along the window. The area you go to pay becomes a traffic jam. Besides that the coffee was pretty good. I wish they had more seating and more comfortable chairs with back support. The modern design is the highlight of this establishment. If they fix the customer flow issue and work on their user experience, it has the potential to become the best coffee shop in Princeton. read more

Really beautiful storefront. Very cool atmosphere and friendly staff. My coffee was pretty good but, small and a bit pricey. I got a regular cold brew with cashew milk. (PS, they do offer a few dairy substitutes but they did run out of a few. They didn't offer coconut milk, ran out of almond milk, so I was happy to hear they offered cashew). My girlfriend ordered a macchiato which was really tiny and also a bit pricey. But we were happy with our experience. This won't be my go-to coffee shop for the day to day since it's not on my route to work but I will keep it in mind for when I'm having a day around princeton. read more

I tried Sakrid a few years ago and it was terrible. But i was on campus the other day and heard a tour guide tell customers that Sakrid had the best coffee in town. So i decided to give them another chance. Ordered an espresso shot. Bitter. Gross. Had to throw it out. Don't know where they get their beans but inferior quality or roasting technique. For my taste. And i roast beans and have had brilliant coffee in the past. But i think average person is manipulated by perception. As it looks like should be good coffee. Sorry for bad review but two strikes. I tried their beans a year ago (high quality gesha -- would love to try their other beans) and finally got the chance to visit. I tried the iced latte and draft latte. I was in a "desperately need wifi situation," and Sakrid Coffee Roasters came up as having it. It's a great little spot, with super friendly baristas, reliable wifi (with sufficient outlets) and a very pleasant environment with great big windows where you can look out on the street (and in this case, the rain). My drink (a Draft Latte) was propelled by cold brew, with a bit of maple syrup to give it just a hint of sweetness (but not too much, which is a good thing). Bottom line: Sakrid Coffee Roasters was just what I needed on every level. Also, major props to the baristas for not booting me right at 5 when they closed; some places will chase you out, but they were good with me staying and finishing my work while they were cleaning. Amazing. Espresso bean is flavorful and bold, but not overly caffeinated which I really liked. Staff is super friendly. Decor and atmosphere is superb-- light, bright and very pleasing to the eye. There's bar seats but also tables to sit at and it's quiet enough to work. The music was relaxing. I was behind a very generous man who paid for my latte which meant more to me than he could've known..come to find out he was the boss. The quality of the espresso is superb. I love the oat milk here. The biscotti is divine dipped in their coffee. It's always packed when I go in! Good for them! I only wish there was more lower height seating. I believe the prices match the quality of the coffee and service, and I would much rather pay a little more to support a small coffee shop as opposed to large chains. I really love oat milk and I appreciate that they offer a good quality brand (Minor Figures) oat milk. If their prices do not align with your budget, then go elsewhere. I've lived in Princeton for a couple of years and was eagerly awaiting the opening of Sakrid Coffee. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, the staff is incredibly friendly, the music is always pleasant and most importantly, the coffee is on point. I also think the pricing is on par with the other coffee shops in town-I have yet to order a drink that was more expensive. I only wish they were open longer. read more

I stopped by to get a bit of work done, but seating was pretty limited. However the staff was very helpful in helping me move a chair over to an open area. It was a rather sterile place, high ceilings, very minimalist white decor. The wifi is written on this yellow paper in the middle of the shop. I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this new coffee venue on Nassau Street, so when I noticed that they had finally opened, I decided to give it a try. The positives: Their coffee is very good. They use excellent-quality corrugated cups, which don't require a sleeve in order to protect one's hands from scalding coffee. The negatives (which, unfortunately outweigh the positives...): They are quite pricey The "flow" of the place is completely WRONG Their staff seems to spend their time gazing into space, and leaning on the counter, rather than attending to customers. When considering how to design this storefront for coffee service, why would someone decide to place the cashier station at the REAR of the store, and the "bar" area at the front? The bizarre placement of the cashier station--coupled with a too-narrow space for customers--causes customers to have to make a U-turn in order to get their coffee and to exit the cashier area, but there is precious little room to do so. As I stated previously, the "flow" is completely wrong-headed. When a customer finds the area where cream and sweeteners are located, he/she will find that the dispensers are frequently empty, due to the inattention of the "gazing and leaning" employees. And... couldn't they have found a more appropriate dispenser for sugar, instead of a plastic take-out cup? Even the waste receptacle is far too small for its intended purpose, and was close to overflowing a couple of hours after they opened. I sincerely wish this new establishment well, in view of the high quality of their coffee, but unless they are willing to totally redesign their current back-asswards layout, I think that most customers will be annoyed by the design, and will choose to go to Small World, which is only a few blocks away, and which has equally good coffee--albeit at a lower price. read more

It's very easy to get comfortable here drinking a coffee. It's clean and bright. The coffee is smooth and mellow. And I really enjoyed having my nitro cold brew. I'm not one to add anything to my coffee as I like my coffee quite bold usually, so I was surprised to enjoy a mellow black coffee so much! read more
