Boonton, NJ - this coffee shop is metal as hell! Not only do they have awesome coffee and coffee treats, but the decor and vibe are right on rock n roll! Were geography a lesser obstacle, this would be my satellite office. The crème brûlée latte is heavenly. Although I normally eschew sweet drinks like this when I need a proper caffeine pick-me-up, this was a deep and strong brew underneath the caramelized sugar goodness. It wasn't on the menu but the barista nicely made milk steamers for my and my friend's kids. Great coffee, friendly staff, rad music, horror business Hollywood Babylon glam...this is my kinda place! Eternal glory to this establishment.

I could've sworn I posted this review already! Oops! Loved this place and cannot wait to go back with my husband. The service was great, ambience obviously dope, and coffee was so good and pretty too! While I'm no longer dating (thankfully) this would make a great first date spot!

Wow, absolutely loved the ambiance here. Catfight is a spooky / halloween themed coffee shop. They absolutely nailed the decor and vibes, and it was so fun to come leading up to halloween. Coffee was strong and delicious. They have some fun options like a charcoal latte and I even took home a bag of whole roasted pumpkin beans. They also have cute merch to take home. The owner of the shop could not have been more kind or friendly. It was halloween week so they were absolutely slammed, and he was hustling while being so friendly to everyone who popped by. This was fun and different - definitely worth stopping by again.

Ahhh I love this place! I ordered the Caramel Apple Butter Oat Latte. Best decision ever. It was amazing. The barista was a sweetheart and knows her craft well. I had fun being in there. Surprises are all over. Even the little details like the quality of the to-go cups and the lids are great and spill proof. I'm a regular coffee drinker and my pet peeve is when I get coffee and there's a leak from the side of the cup and drips all over. (If you know you know lol). I'm so happy I pivoted from my work route today to go here. Only complaint is I wish they had a 20oz option - hehe. Wonderful experience - I highly recommend!

Unfortunately for me, Catfight is not super local to me, but I do make sure to stop when I'm in the area & it has been such a treat each time. Catfight Coffee is a delight for both your taste buds & your eyes. It has a unique, tattoo shop/horror film/Halloween-y/haunted circus vibe and it just ... works. Everyone working behind the counter that I've encountered have been super friendly & helpful in addition to being knowledgeable about the products they're serving. My usual order is a creme brulee latte with the delicious oatmilk that is made in-house (so I'm told by my barista). This drink comes with a visual experience that includes a bubble gun - you'll have to order it for yourself to find out the rest ;) They also have a display case full of treats, many of which are labeled as gluten-free (if that's a dietary restriction that applies to you). The funfetti scone is DELIGHTFUL. Plenty of seating & wifi makes it a perfect place to work remotely. Whatever you do, make sure you check out the bookcase - you never know what secrets might be hiding behind it (it's just the bathroom, but a hidden door is still exciting). They also sell full beans & merch, neither of which I have explored personally, but a great way to bring a bit of Catfight home.

This place is cooooool and funky!!!!! Hard rock, such a Halloween vibe, really unique shop. They also have some baked goods that are labeled vegan / gluten free too! Employees were very friendly and knowledgeable, I asked the girl on register a few questions about specials and she knew everything immediately and was so friendly and chill. I got a cold brew with almond milk and sugar free caramel - so good !! My friends got crème brûlée lattes & said it was so yummy, they also add an aroma bubble on top of that one which was so cool, we got to watch the employee pop the bubble. My other friend got a chai with pumpkin spice and loved it! Overall such a sick cafe I wish they were open later on weekdays !!!!!

LOVED this place. Super unique selection of drinks that I haven't seen in awhile. The place is full of seating so you can enjoy your coffee/snack without feeling rushed. I got the black heart coconut latte with charcoal in it. It was perfect and not too sweet. Everything was priced fairly also. Only downside is parking, but there is a side street that has a public lot. Pharmacist approved

A relatively new coffee shop in Boonton, we came because we needed beans and they're labeled as a coffee roastery. We were welcomed in warmly, and the employees were very friendly and helpful. The space is a little smaller than I thought it would be from the online photos but much more brightly lit, which I appreciated. Browsing the beans, they're a mix of ground and whole bean, but none of them had roasted dates. After inquiry, we were informed that all of the coffee was less than three months old. Maybe I'm being picky, but I don't normally buy coffee from a roastery that's over two weeks old. I like the fresh roast, so we passed on the coffee. We got a cappuccino and a latte, both with oat milk to stay and shared a Reese's donut. The donut was really good, but very sweet so I'm glad we split it. The wifi password on the tray was convenient. My cappuccino was a bit dark, almost burnt tasting, for my liking. And the latte had a tad bit too much foam. But service was super on point, even asking if we wanted some water while we were enjoying our coffee. Very kind people!

Catfight coffee is a gem in Boonton that I was not ready for at all. The coffee (and decor) was really cool. The owner is part of a rather famous punk band and I love the Hollywood decor that gives the place some ambience. Most importantly, the coffee was fantastic. They have some solid cups too that makes a big difference as far as to go. Check this place out if you are a fellow coffee junkie!

Listen, I've been to some of the so called best cafes and coffee spots in the United States and this one right here is right up there with them. In fact, this one could possibly be my favorite. Let's start off with the exterior of this place. It's like whoever owns this place took every idea for a cafe right out of my skull. I love the color scheme and the theme. Goth, Black Cats, Monsters, Aliens, Halloween... Uuuumazing!!! We walked in and were greeted by a very friendly barista. He knew what he was going and helped us with our orders as we always like to get whoever's working recommendations. He asked what we typically get and like and recommended: - Jack O Latte, Iced, Almond Milk (me) 5/5 - Creme Brulee Latte, hot (gf) 6/5 He came over and asked what we thought and apologized for adding to much cinnamon to my drink but I was like the more the merrier. Ha! I love me some cinnamon. We said we loved the drinks and he smiled and said, "Thank you!" The inside is so cute that I could spend hours here sipping coffee and reading books. I can't wait to come back and enjoy this place more. Thanks for the outstanding service and superb drinks. You won us over times ten :D Enjoy!

What a fun little shop, the theme / decor is fantastic and the service is great. They have some baked options along with both ground and full bean to go options. I got the creme brulee latte, I asked for it half sweet and they delivered. If you are a fan of punk/emo/rock/metal, the vibe is fantastic.

I meannnn, this place was virtually calling my name when I saw it! Not your typical coffee shop exterior so it draws you in. And on the inside, it's just as fun! Marquis menu, sci-fi theater decor, terrarium pastry case, secret bookcase door, it was simply awesome! Prices were insanely reasonable for their drinks. BUT that's where it falls short. The coffee was mid and the service felt like I should be happy I was there instead of the other way around. I didn't know I had to ask for creamer. I specifically told the one taking my order that is never been there before so he should've asked me if I wanted creamer. And when I asked the barista for cream, he looked perturbed plus he was already annoyed that I made sure they gave me my flavor shot. Anyway, the cup was cute so I walked away with a smile.

With excellent flavor profiles, a unique debut menu item (iced creme brulee latte with "magic bubbles"), and a front of house that engages with its patrons, I'm so glad that Catfight Coffee joined the scene in Boonton. And it's busy already! Although they have been in a soft launch period for the last two weeks, I've been in between 11a-12p on Saturdays and Sundays and never seen it less than half full. The window booth near the front is especially popular. The long finishes on the coffees really deliver. While Mei Lin, the owner, told me they don't roast their own beans here, it's clear from the flavors that they are making sure to dial in the grind, which you must do to extract the best from each bean. Your taste buds will tell you if the work hasn't been put in. I appreciated the personalized service at my first visit, which was enabled by a lull in the in-store traffic. A barista offered me water while I waited, and they also brought my latte to me instead of just calling out my name. I don't know if they'll keep doing this, but it shows a focus on the experience that not every coffee place will offer. I also appreciate the absence of a surcharge for alternative milks! Catfight has had an online presence for some time, and the Boonton location is their first physical storefront. The decor isn't really for me, but nevertheless, I hope they do great!

I actually came across this place on an Instagram post and decided to check it out. It seems that normally a tea ceremony is something we'd have to book ahead of time (and pay for, apparently) but we didn't know. So, we wandered in and the shopkeep started telling us about teas and she let me smell a green one. I asked if I could try it, she generously said yes, and that kicked off an unplanned tea ceremony. It started off with just my husband and I, but as other people came into the shop, the shopkeep invited them to join us at the table so by the end there was another couple, a woman, the shopkeep's husband and the shop's assistant hanging out together and drinking tea. We learned all about the villages where the teas came from, the differences between some of them, how old the teas are, how the shop came to be, even about the tea table we sat at. Super cool vibe, loved the coming together of strangers bonding for hours over a shared love of tea, but one that I'm not sure can be replicated because again, these tea tastings are meant to be booked ahead of time with your party, and are meant to be a paid service (though in Taiwan, tea tastings are free). We got lucky because the shop wasn't busy and people had cancelled their tea bookings due to an upcoming snow storm. I will most likely come back for more tea at some point. Even if a spontaneous tea ceremony never happens again, I count my blessings that such an experience even happened once, and would still recommend this shop to any Chinese tea lover.

The obvious theories were that it was either really good or the only game in town. Based on our experience, it's a little from Column A, a little from Column B. We came for brunch this past Saturday around 11:30am. None of us had been here before, but it was roughly a "meet in the middle" type of situation conveniently located off of 202. Although all of the nearby parking spots in this strip mall were occupied, it's a big enough parking area that it wasn't difficult to locate a spot further away closer to the road. Little annoying, but it is what it is and could have been worse. Inside was similar - part of it for sure was due to our timing, but it was crowded and a bit chaotic. I went in first to secure seating, and we lucked out with a table near the door immediately. The biggest knock on Red Barn is that it's just not that comfortable, at least in that seating section by the counter. It's picnic tables for the most part with no seat backing, and you are RIGHT up against your neighbors - I bumped into the back of the guy behind me several times. The obvious solution is both normal tables/seats and/or removing one of the picnic tables to give everyone a little more breathing room. Honestly, it reminded me of the worst parts of NYC restaurants, where they basically jam in as many tables and chairs as possible as a cash grab. Easy fix, and I'm surprised it hasn't been done. The menu was legit, and put a lot of my initial concerns to rest. It's gigantic (befitting a diner-esque establishment), with both lengthy breakfast and lunch sections, along with a specials menu that could have been a standalone menu in most places. I was in the middle of a physically active day and got a little naughty (which I regretted later, but that wasn't Red Barn's fault), opting for the Biscuits & Gravy entree, which also came with two eggs and hash browns. Honestly, too much food and in hindsight I would have just gotten the Biscuits & Gravy, especially since my companions and I split pancakes w/ strawberries on top as well. Lesson learned. Everything was very good; nothing mind-blowing, but it did the job. The Biscuits & Gravy was an insane portion, featuring four biscuit halves. I thought the eggs needed a bit of pepper for flavoring purposes, but beyond that no discernable issues with any of the food. The service was very good and essentially matched the chaos in there. Our waitress was understandably very busy, constantly moving around, and yet stopped by regularly. Additionally, all of our orders were on the table within about 10 minutes or so. No issues whatsoever in that regard. Additionally, the bathrooms were a delight, covered in quirky signage. As mentioned, this is kind of a weird area where you don't have a real downtown/Main Street section to meet up with people, so it's a big plus when you find a random, decent establishment.
