I have to take a moment to show appreciation to Saks for hosting us in a private suite for my daughter's bachelorette weekend. Laura Barcellos, manager, set up the whole event for us and left no stone unturned. When we arrived my daughter was so excited and surprised because she had no idea. Her personal stylists Nik & Katrina who Laura appointed took time to curate several looks for her to shop based upon her style that they were able to capture from her social media. There were shoes, accessories, the whole nine. Oh and there was champagne! Lol. The music playing in the space was my daughters, since she is an artist. That was such a cute touch as well. Thanks Laura! The ladies from Dior cosmetics came up and gave mini facials as well as did my daughter's makeup. We were able to shop various brands and just enjoy the afternoon in such a luxe space. Nik and Katrina were such a vibe and so helpful. They know fashion! We shopped and all of the girls left with a gift bag compliments of Dior with a few purse sized fragrances. Super thoughtful. Everything exceeded our expectations. I highly suggest that you gift this experience to someone special in your life. Thank you all again sooooo so much! We're still talking about it. I must say I'm starting to understand why this store is struggling so much. I was in there a week ago. Passing through the jewelry department when I came across a woman that worked there, I believe her name was 'Fabiola'. She gave me this look as if I was pardon me for saying a piece of c***,, I was looking to spend money in that department when I chose to just leave instead. The store is lovely and the location is fantastic because Bal Harbor is in and of itself quite glamorous. The sales staff are way too pushy to the point where I just don't want to shop at this location. It's not a gentle hovering push, it's a one foot away push and a follow to every single store front inside Saks. It's awful just awful. On a recent trip to Saks BH I made the huge mistake of asking a shoe sales lady for a Dior boot that ended up not fitting but then decided to check out bags inside Fendi. Well, the same shoe lady followed me inside the fendi store in store and got in the middle of the Fendi sales lady showing me handbags. Three was a crowd and I had to walk away because the vibes just weren't fun and who doesn't want to have fun when shopping for luxury goods? The shoe sales lady was almost salivating at the thought of me buying a bag, it was creepy. I enjoy the selection of merchandise in this Saks location. The variety is exquisite and they truly have the best of the best so if you are okay with pushy, creepy, and hovering sales staff then by all means check out this location you will not be disappointed with the selection of stunning luxury goods. This is a pathetically-operated store and it's quite surprising they have any repeat business - presumably mostly out-of-towners. In November of 2022, I purchased several designer jeans in-store and had them altered by an in-house tailor. The jeans were to be shipped to my home in Colorado with a "promise date" of early December. It's now mid-January and nothing. Calls to all departments at the store simply ring - I called over 12 times. 12 times. I finally contacted someone in the women's department who stated they would work with a manager and get back to me. That has yet to happen. Calling the main Sak's order support number (which goes to Philippines) yields nothing, as they only handle online orders. It's easy to see how conventional retail stores (especially absurdly overpriced ones) will continue to die slow deaths due to online and upstart vendors when their approach to customer service is abysmal. read more

Saks you are the driving force of why I go to Bal Harbour. Luckily this past visit we were able to conveniently able to park just outside the front entrance of the Men's department. With hubby fighting me for weeks to come shoppimg for a new suit. However with pending social engagements on the calendar this was not a casual visit but on a mission to find the perfect ensemble to fit the bill. Luckily for both my husbands workplace as well as mine a suit is not necessary. However because of the business casual lifestyle it becomes a challenge when you truly need to be formal. Thus my old favorite Saks. Warmly greeted immediately upon entering the department. Long gone is a traditional department but more so by designer. Our salesman Alberto being a professional gave us our limited choices. Limited as my husband is tall and in need of a 48. Also colors that we were wanting was narrowed down to blue my favorite on hubby. Alas we found the perfect one and with an alterations person right there we were quickly in and out. Also for shirt and tie we ended up with the same French designer Charvet. Definitely one of a kind and exceptional in design. My husband as always will look drop dead gorgeous. Will be back soon to pick up as they wanted to ship to our home but always best to try on once again after alterations are complete. read more

This review is intended for Yulia. For the past three weeks, I have been on a hunt for the classic quilted Chanel combat boots which seems to be sold out EVERYWHERE! I contacted stores near me (Los Angeles) and then I decided to search on Instagram for all the retail personal shoppers. I happened to stumble across many of them and Yulia was one of them. When I texted her in regards to the shoe and the size that I wanted she informed me that she remembers that one of her clients had purchased two pairs and that shoe and the size I needed was returned and she put it on hold for another client. Keep in mind, at this time we are having a friendly discussion over text and I had a great impression on her. She informed me that she would inform me if her client decides to purchase it or not. The following day (Saturday) she hadn't written back to me so I texted her and she said she will get back to me on Sunday when she goes back to work. Sunday Yulia reaches out to me as she only has one hour left to clock out. She informs me that the shoe is available. So I send her my mom's Nordstrom Visa credit card.... VISA. She writes back to me and says that this is Saks Fifth Avenue. And I respond to her that this is a VISA card and it can be used at any retail stores. She tries to do the transaction and it declined. I inform her that there should be no reason for it to decline because I was on the phone with the Nordstrom card company and they were approving the transaction. Anyways, she informs me that she is clocking out for the day and she will keep the shoe on hold and will complete the transaction in the morning. Monday I wake up and on Instagram I see that Yulia is posting the only pair of shoe that was meant for me on Instagram. I was FURIOUS! I texted her and asked if she tried the transaction again and she said yes and it declined again. So I provided her another credit card (Wells Fargo Visa). Again, she informed me that the card is declining. At this point I got upset and I contacted her. She picks up the phone and rudely tells me that she doesn't have time for this and that she has more important clients that are her regulars and would like to purchase this shoe. At this point I was SO DISGUSTED of her and I could not continue to do business with her. So I hung up and called Wells Fargo and Nordstrom. BOTH credit card companies informed me that on their end the transactions were approved but Yulia was putting $00.00 balance. I will definitely be calling Saks and speaking to the manager in regards to this. Just because I am not your "regular", doesn't mean you can't provide humane service to me. read more

Not surprised with all the bad reviews with this location! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE you can find. I made a almost $2,000 purchase through Instagram with Larissa, who was the worst since the moment I made de purchase. Never sent receipt or gave me a shipping number. I had to contact her multiple times because of those and because it was taking forever to receive the package. At the end the fedex site was saying it was delivered but I was home and never got a package. I was charged $2,000 for something I never got. She gave me no support or answers, said I needed to figure it out with fedex and that was not her problem. The store manager managed to be worst and have no opinion about that. Disgusting and dirty. We came to Bal Harbour for 4 days to shop, eat and relax for a girls weekend. The Bal Harbour shops was a hopping center full of boutiques and restaurants. We stopped into Saks to look at shoes and sunglasses. The store in general was dirty, not merchandised and had no one to help you! We spent a good 10 minutes in the shoe salon with not one sales associate in sight. Then proceeded to the sunglass area again with no help and the glass cases looked like no one had cleaned them in a month. Totally smudged, dirty and disgusting. I love Saks. The service is always topnotch which I enjoy. Sometimes I like to be left alone when I'm shopping, but I can't knock their hustle. They have to eat too. I don't know I just wasn't feeling this location. Now this review is specifically based on the men's area. I don't wear ball gowns you review that on your own. You walk by the enormous LV which I don't need (and side note neither does anyone else because it was empty). The 8 people in the shoe department just glare at you as you walk by. Smize at me at least and then you get to the men's. It was just so meh to me. I was HOUNDED by this man while I was looking at underwear. No sir, I don't need help. It's underwear. It's pretty self explanatory. Then there was the employee on the telephone. As a professional eavesdropper I found myself sifting through jeans for a good five minutes while I listened to this man ( an employee) talk on the phone about his coworkers, about how he was ready to quit/be fired, and was prepping for his lawsuit. He talked about how he got in trouble for leaving early but others didn't when they left at the same time. It was truly an amazing conversation. Then the underwear guy came over and phone guy gave him the same story. At this point I just checked out of the situation and left. I love gossip, but give me a break. I bought a pair of Todd loafers that are coming apart and I'm now one to complain but went to store to see if they can exchange, its 12 days over the 30 day return policy. the manager last night 12/3 was extremely rude and loud. the actual Tods store in the mall said the shoes are defective and shouldn't be doing this. These store is nice and full of lots of selections from the biggest brands but the entire mall parking lot in under construction and it is a real pain to park and walk over with all of the construction materials laying all over the place and the loud machines as well as dust. The worst customer service possible at the Bal Harbour location. I bought Manolos, got them shipped to my house. Even though the shoes valued over $1k there was no signature service required, which sounds insane to me. Package was stolen off my front porch and this company can't take ownership of the fact that a package of that value should ALWAYS require a delivery service. When I brought it to their attention, the sales rep was 0 help. One lady I spoke to was kind and understanding, who then passed the message along to some lady in management that was extremely condescending and rude. Would have avoided a negative review altogether if this lade in particular didn't have such an attitude on the phone. I literally just wanted the shoes, I would have literally bought them again (that's how bad I wanted these shoes) but I cannot stress how rude this employee was on the phone. I'm totally aware that the theft aspect is not a Saks issue, but theres no way there's not some type of policy regarding a signature release with Fedex with this caliber of a company and the luxury brands they have. You're better off shopping at Nordstrom, Neiman's, Macy's, virtually ANY other department store if you want to receive even an ounce of quality customer service and hospitality. I had a wonderful shopping experience from Lorenzo in the Louis Vuitton section at Saks in Bal Harbour. Lorenzo is very friendly and extremely helpful. He ordered a pair of the Bomb Dia sandals for me. They were sold out in SF. He was able to get them quickly. The sandals ended up being too small. Strolling around Bal Harbour on a lazy Saturday afternoon, I ventured into Sak's with no goal in mind. Although I typically avoid temptation to spend more than I can afford on designer fashion, I am a sucker for cosmetics. Sak's carries the fancy schmancy cosmetic lines, but it also has affordable favorites like Estee Lauder. Unlike the crowded malls at Aventura and Dadeland, the cosmetic counters for each brand were serene and peaceful at this Sak's. At Estee Lauder, I received personalized attention -- enough so that I learned a few key tricks and came away with key items without hurting my pocket book. Just because Bal Harbour has a fancy reputation shouldn't scare you away from this serene, low traffic atmosphere if you're in the mood to experiment with cosmetics! read more

After receiving no shipping confirmation six days after my card was charged, I called the shoe department to see if they could give me a tracking number. The man who answered was very short with me and put me on hold for a few minutes, after which he told me to call back later because he was busy helping someone with a large number of shoes and then abruptly hung up on me. I have been a frequent Saks Fifth Avenue customer for years. I have always had outstanding customer service until today. I tried to place an order from the Louis Vuitton boutique with a girl named Alma at the Saks Fifth Avenue in Bal Harbour Shops Miami. After she verified my information over the phone and text my personal cell phone for a photo ID risking my personal information she was unable to deliver and place the order because of the security purposes even though I was able to verify everything. Alma did not even bother calling me as a customer to advise the reason why the transaction was not going to be made. She decided to just text me sorry security team denied transaction, have a wonderful day. What type of treatment is this if you ask me. I have placed orders over the phone before and haven ever had an issue. I then proceeded to speak to a manager and spoke to Omar. Omar was condescending and refused to help me out. I had called and left a message to have Omar return my call in 10 minutes. I called after a 15 minute wait and Omar had the audacity to say I have other clients to deal with like if i was not a paying customer. I get it a $400 scarf is nothing compared to a 2 or 3 thousand dollar bag but as a paying customer I deserve the same respect. He said that my saks credit card was declined. I decided to call the saks credit card department and the gal I spoke too Trina was able to verify my information and verify I had enough credit limit to make the purchase and also advised no transaction had been made. I called back to speak to Omar at saks and he refused to help me out and hung up the phone. He was really rude for being a manager and not sure if Louis Vuitton or Saks Fifth Avenue would be happy having such an ignorant person as an employee. This puts both the brand and the store at risk of loosing hundreds of customers because of the unprofessional behavior. Literally woman try to steal the shoes from you. It was so early and so hectic I decided to purchase all 5 shoes I liked and thought I would make my decision later at the privacy of my home whether or not I wanted to return any. I tried the shoes on around my apartment for no more than 5 minutes, and decided I had to return 3 pairs as much as I loved them because they were unbearable to my feet. Trust me, for the price I really wanted to keep them but was too uncomfortable. I don't live that close to BH mall and made a trip specifically to return these three pairs. Unfortunately for me the salesman who I purchased from was working and gave me attitude about returning "all" (3 of the 5) shoes. I decided to keep an YSL boot and Chanel booties (which I am now tempted to return after this negative experience). These two shoes themselves should have been a nice sale for this dude. I received a work call while returning the shoes, and when I returned to the register for my refund he calls the store manager over. The manager and him continued to tell me these shoes have been worn and are in "UNSALABLE" condition. Let me remind you these were sale shoes, which often are not in perfect condition when purchased. I pointed out a pair of shoes on sale that appeared in no better condition, but it was pointless because he wasn't making any attempt to handle this. Instead he belittled me and suggested I was lying about having worn these shoes. I explained I only tried them on at home, which is a logical thing for someone to do. He refused to return all three of the shoes. Not one pair! It was so obvious he didn't want to lose the commission and I sat there waiting for the manager to come back to fight this decision, but after 20 minutes of waiting decided to leave as this guy's agenda was clear. I sent a picture of the shoes to my gf who i was with when purchased asking if the sale shoe appeared unsalable. She was outraged after viewing the picture and asked how I didn't throw a fit. I tried but the guy kept saying, "there's nothing I can do. I am not going to return these shoes and risk losing my job." It was a very frustrating experience and I explained I made the trip just for this return. He could care less and continued to make me feel worse. Long story short, I drove all the way to Saks at Dadeland to return the shoes hassle free as they were not worn and in sellable condition. That saleperson kindly returned the shoes without any hesitation or suggestion that they were worn (because they weren't!!). Dorian was not very smart about this transaction. Lost a good customer. I will no longer buy my designer shoes at this location and don't recommend you do either. Have you ever tried to get an additional discount on a sale shoe at Saks because they are in less than perfect condition? They'll respond that's why they are on sale... but try to return a sale shoe that's slightly less than perfect, and well they are no longer sellable and therefore not returnable.
