One of my favorite stores in the desert. This is definitely a high end store. But you get first quality merchandise. They carry almost anything you need to look your best. Both fot men and women. Fashionable womens clothing. Purses, shoes, makeup, jewlry, they have it all. And just experience of shopping here is worth the price..

New Creed fragrance "Carmina" to be released late October 2023. Pre-orders being accepted here.

This Saks in the El Paseo shopping area in Palm Dessert is much smaller than many other Saks Fifth Avenue stores, but the friendly and attentive store associates make shopping here a much more enjoyable experience than many other locations. Their offerings are mainly cosmetics and fragrances, women's clothes & accessories, and a small collection of men's apparel. The front entrance of the store off El Paseo is beautifully landscaped, but a drawback is that the front entrance is a bit cumbersome and lengthy for entry. If driving or needing special assistance, use the parking lot entrance at the rear of the store off Shadow Mountain Drive.

I "love" how... when you search for Saks Fifth Avenue, you get their general profile. NOT their SAKS for each location like Beverly Hills, Palm Desert & Orange County... oh no! It's a composite review for all of them. Each store should be addressed differently and have their own Yelp profile. After all, each SAKS location, appeals to an entirely separate & completely regional type of clientele. Apparently this company refuses to separate their reviews by store location. This particular store in Palm Desert is particularly steered toward women 70, 75, 80 and older. I can't seem to get away from brands like Retrofete, Khaite, Aje, Andamane, Atelier Versace, BA&SH, Badgley Mischka, Baum und Pferdgarten, ByTiMo, Carolina Herrera, Chiara Boni, Chloe, Derek Lam 10 Crosby, Dodo Bar Or, Eberjey, Emilio Pucci, Escada, Etro, Farm Rio, Gottex Swimwear, ILA, JW Anderson, Lanvin, LoveShackFancy, Marchesa Notte, MISA Los Angeles, MUNTHE, PatBO, RHODE, & Saloni. Every single one of these brands I've either purchased an item from the line or have tried some of the articles from that season's collection. I've tried again and again and with NO success to be able to bring these brands into my wardrobe wholeheartedly but they all make me look 30 years older. I don't want to look 30 years older. We are ALL going to get there one day... god willing... but why should I rush it and dress like an 80 year old before I'm 80??? I realize that Palm Desert is a seasonal place and most of the clientele will already have their outfits figured out before coming to the Coachella Valley for the season... However (!).. it gets old when you want to see what a particular brand is doing, up close and personal, and the only thing you can do is look at the collection online. Some of the collections will be in its completion like Zimmerman and LaDoubleJ...however several brands are missing signature pieces in the current collection as displayed at the store level. I'm far too young to wear the brands mentioned previously. It makes for a very difficult shopping experience to shop at SAKS ..pretty much anywhere there is a SAKS. I am not buying full length sequined dresses nor do I want to look ancient. I can't even stand the sequined look anymore. It's a look that is over and done with and should be relegated to hollywood starlets or starlet wannabe's. I've become more conservative as the years have droned on, but I am by no means ready to wear clothes that are designed to look good on 80 year olds!

What happened to Saks Fifth Avenue ? I worked for them 18 years and what I experienced at the Palm Desert store was humiliating. Saks is where you are supposed to feel listened to and catered to when buying something for a special occasion. Today I looked online for a vendor thar Saks sells. I found the vendor section but when I asked Pearl for help. I got scolded and asked what Saks location I needed. I said this one Palm Desert. I didn't want off 5th She asked me the same question again It was so weird. I wasn't in the wrong place. I only wanted to know if they had the item in stock. She walked me over to the section and said look for it. Thank god another associate heard and offered to help. Times for retail are bad. I was planning to spend at least 1000 dollars. When I worked for Saks the customer came first. I won't be coming back.

    Great Saks 5th

Provide a well curated inventory designed to fit customer body types. Step 3. Offer reassurance and genuine compliments when customer is trying on clothing. It had been a long day of stress and letdowns in the search of finding a suit for my best friend to wear. We tried all of the typical places, but we're told they did not carry his size in stock. However, the super helpful and kind gentleman at Men's Wearhouse suggested we come here to take a look. Nothing could have repaired us for the welcome we received. So much that we are still talking about what a relief it is to find a store that carries clothing designed for his body. Normally our shopping is limited to whatever stock they happen to have that might fit (mostly) but this was a complete turnaround where he was allowed to pick out styles that he enjoyed. nothing can beat the value of his relief and joy in finding high-quality clothes of all various name brands. Much love to store manager, Michael who went the extra mile and insured all butterflies were gone in the whole experience. Buying a suit for the first time is stressful enough, but Michael was super kind and extremely helpful in providing every option under the sun. We never expected to walk in and walk out with the entire fit in tow, but we were thankful to have been proven wrong. I would highly recommend saving your dollars on the stress that shopping at other places will give you. If you have a bigger chest or an unusual body type, this might be the spot for your guy best friends. Whether it is Michael or Austin, you are sure to be well taken care of! Pro tip: we walked up to the door located off the street between the pizza place in Barnes & Noble. There was a sign that made us extremely confused and we ended up walking around in circles, trying to find an entrance inside the mall. Don't do what we did and just enter the door underneath the large DXL sign.

The pants did not fit nor did he like them, so I took them back to the store today with the original receipt and desperately looked for something to exchange them for. The line of fitness clothes in this store is drab, bland and rather sad. I settled on a pair of black shorts for $84 and looked at finding black socks, of which they only had size small in stock. Unable to find anything else I thought my husband would like, I was told at check out that it was store policy to not provide cash refunds, even with the receipt. I was only entitled to a store credit. The staff person said that because my brother in law did not specifically request a gift receipt, there was nothing she could do. Now we are stuck with a store credit that we will never use as the clothes here are just...bad. And my husband doesn't even like the replacement shorts so it was a complete waste of money for the original $138 pants. It is a ridiculous and unethical policy not to issue a refund when the product is returned unused with a receipt. Really shameful, Vuori.
