Keeping this short and sweet but very lucky to have this shoe and handbag repair shop in the desert…read morefor when I'm visiting as they do a great job here! Definitely wish I had this shop back home, because I can't tell you have often I've needed leather repairs or stitching work needing to be done. We brought one of my loved and heavily used coach purses here because one of the straps was coming off from the purse due to the thread finally coming apart. I love this purse and didn't watch to scrap it, so I was desperate to see if someone could fix it. Here getting my purse fixed and properly was super easy! Prices were reasonable and the timeline for turnaround was quick. The father and daughter duo had my purse fixed and back to me good as new in no time! Definitely would use this shop again and highly recommend them. We love a local mom and pop shop, and this is a great repair store in the desert.

Review Title: Found my "Sole" Mate for Shoe Repair near Palm Desert!…read more Since moving to Palm Desert, I've been on the hunt for an amazing shoe and leather repair shop, and today I finally found the best in the desert! I brought in a favorite pair of Italian slip-on dress shoes that were in desperate need of a "tune-up"--the elastic was completely shot. I stumbled upon Ragus Leather Shop and Shoe Repair, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Gustavo is a true craftsman. He is an incredibly nice man, honest, and his prices are very fair. Being a Real Estate Broker, I spend a lot of time on my feet and I'm constantly walking through properties, so my shoes take a beating. Finding someone who does high-quality work with a warm and friendly smile is a game-changer for my business wardrobe. I'm so impressed that I'll be bringing all my leather goods here from now on--especially a very special suede coat that belonged to my late father-in-law. I wouldn't trust that sentimental piece with just anyone, but I know it's in good hands with Gustavo. If you need quality work and honest service, look no further. Highly recommended! THANK YOU, Gustavo! I truly appreciate the great work. Arthur (Arturo) Cervantes Broker/Owner/Investor PROPERTIES, INC.

He justified it by saying that the sandals were 'very expensive' and he would clean them up as well and make them look 'brand new'! When I went to pick them up, he couldn't find them and made me go into the back room to find them. When I did, I immediately noticed that they had not been cleaned and looked terrible! I asked him why he didn't clean and polish them as promised, and he angrily snapped at me and told me that I hadn't paid him enough to do that! When I reminded him how much he had charged me to both repair and clean/polish each pair, - which he promised to do - he did not apologize but told me to either wait an hour or come back 'next time' and he would do it. I had brought two more pairs to have him repair, but instead told him there would be NO 'next time', took the shoes and I walked out! It was clear that he not only based the amount he charged me by the cost of the shoes (not the job), but he conned me to justify the total cost by lying to me that he would clean& polish them to make them look ' brand new''. As I told him as I was leaving. I was 'Very Disappointed' and I would not be back. I do not recommend this business if you want to be treated fairly and honestly!

She sews all her own fur coats in little 1/4 " pieces, it's a ton of work that is so detailed! My favorite Christmas present came from her store. Every morning as I walked by her shop on the way to mine I would stop and admire the full length Russian and Canadian Lynx coat with a matching cloe. It was so beautiful! I had tried it on and it was so soft and luxurious and I felt wonderful just wearing it. The price tag was $40,000 which in today's economy would be $105,000. Imagine my surprise when I opened the present on Christmas morning to find such a wonderful present. I love furs. At the McCullum Theater Muse party last year I was talking to the buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue Furs and she said furs are still quite popular and selling well.

She returned the coat to me with several new openings, did not repair it, told me to donate it and did not return my money. She then wanted to sell me a new coat. I had the coat repaired by a reputible furrier and the coat is once again beautiful. When I contacted her offering to pay her $450 for her trouble, but to please credit the balance to my charge card, she called me a liar and told me to take my business elsewhere, then she hung up on me. I will let you decide whether or not you want to do business with this woman.
