When we asked about what we saw online, they told us "That's Saks off 5th. We're not affiliated with them." At least one employee was willing to give us directions (two blocks away). When we went in, we were expecting a Nordstom's Rack experience, but Saks Off 5th was way better than that. Lots of room to look around, everything sorted by brand, and very helpful staff. The woman who helped us took 15 minutes searching for a skirt that we described, and we finally found it. $49. Saks Off 5th will now be our favorite place to shop.

He called me and told me he could not find a zipper so I asked him to just remove the broken zipper. I live out of town so I them off and my mom was going to pick them up. Months went by apparently the guy went into the hospital and I was patient and I waited a few more months for my bags. My mom paid for them, picked them up and left without inspecting them. When I picked up the bags her, they were smashed flat as if he had put something heavy on top of them and just left them there the broken zipper was not fixed. In fact it was just still hanging there and was not removed. I will give him a sliver of He probably put $.50 worth of shoe polish on the leather. However, my purses are in worse condition than when I off. At this point, I don't know how they will ever regain their shape. Do not use this guy he clearly has no idea how to refurbish a handbag. I could not be more disappointed. I paid $125 for this so-called repair now I'm less scrambling for someone who can actually my handbags. Do not take anything to this guy.

This wasn't just any poodle either. This was a fully groomed, cloud-like creature with a level of confidence most people don't have. The kind of poodle that looks like it has opinions about fabrics. It walked into the store like it had an appointment. There was a brief pause at the entrance... a moment to take it all in... and then a slow, deliberate stroll past the displays, as if deciding between classic monogram or something a little more understated this season. And the best part? No one reacted Everyone just... accepted it ..... As if this poodle had been there before. As if it had a purchase history At one point it stopped near a display.... looked up ever so slightly, and I swear it gave off the energy of "this one, but in a different color." I didn't see what it left with, but I have a strong feeling it wasn't empty-handed. Only in Palm Desert do you find yourself watching a poodle casually browse Louis Vuitton... and somehow, it makes perfect sense.

She sews all her own fur coats in little 1/4 " pieces, it's a ton of work that is so detailed! My favorite Christmas present came from her store. Every morning as I walked by her shop on the way to mine I would stop and admire the full length Russian and Canadian Lynx coat with a matching cloe. It was so beautiful! I had tried it on and it was so soft and luxurious and I felt wonderful just wearing it. The price tag was $40,000 which in today's economy would be $105,000. Imagine my surprise when I opened the present on Christmas morning to find such a wonderful present. I love furs. At the McCullum Theater Muse party last year I was talking to the buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue Furs and she said furs are still quite popular and selling well.

Jeannie Hillis of Hillis Furs took my full length mink coat in to repair one area of separation…read more She told me that I had not promperly stored the coat and charged me $2670 (an outrageous amount) to repair it. She returned the coat to me with several new openings, did not repair it, told me to donate it and did not return my money. She then wanted to sell me a new coat. I had the coat repaired by a reputible furrier and the coat is once again beautiful. When I contacted her offering to pay her $450 for her trouble, but to please credit the balance to my charge card, she called me a liar and told me to take my business elsewhere, then she hung up on me. I will let you decide whether or not you want to do business with this woman.
