Dined here on my own. Lots of parking was kind of quiet but that wasn't a problem. My server was very kind and friendly. I ordered a hibachi plate with beef. The amount of food was a lot and the price was decent. I couldn't finish my meal. There was a whole plate of steak and veggies with two scoops of rice. I also got a miso soup and side salad with my meal. The miso soup was decent. And the side salad was a small bowl of lettuce, which was what you'd expect. I enjoyed my food with all their sauces but probably liked their ginger sauce the best. The meat was cooked as requested, medium rare. Rice was "fried rice" but not like the fried rice I'm used to--just seemed like seasoned rice, but I wasn't heart broken about that. There were lots of tables and the check out was easy enough. Sakura in Eden is a spot my husband and I have been going to since we were in high school (which was half of our lives ago ) so needless to say, it's a tried and true. A great week night dinner spot when you don't feel like cooking and faster/more inexpensive than driving to Greensboro to have "cook in front if you" Japanese. It's also just as good IMO. Their wait staff is usually a pretty young crowd (high school/teenage kids) but we've never left feeling like the service was bad. And our food is always good. Steak and shrimp cooked perfectly with mounds of fluffy rice. They have also added an array of sushi as of late that is great in flavor and price. Definitely worth a try if you live in the area and haven't been by in a while! read more

Tucked away in a little shopping center in Eden, is this cozy, quant, restaurant. The food is good and dinner portions are quite large. I had the hibachi chicken which is served with a side salad and soup. Servers are extremely friendly and the food came out quickly. Restaurant could use some updates but other than that it was a great dinner that's family friendly. read more

I'm sure Sakura has taken a hit since another Japanese restaurant came to town but we went last night and couldn't before pleased. I don't know how to order sushi but tried my friends and it tasted really fresh and flavorful. I got the hibachi steak and another friend got filet. Both were extremely tender and tasty. For some reason they don't carry Michelob Ultra but there are other beers to choose from. I wish I had gotten our servers name but she was great, laughing with our corny sense of humor. The main reason for not 5 stars is because we'll need to go back (very seldom do I 5 star on 1 trip). read more

I called to place an order for a combination plate. I ask for white sauce as my salad dressing and the woman said we have ranch, ginger, and thousand island. I said I don't like any of those so please swap the dressing with white sauce. Not like I wasn't paying a high price for the combo platter and they don't even cook in front of you, but this is lousy customer service. read more

First and foremost. I have tried plenty crab ragoons, as this place calls them crab stars. They are absolutely amazing. Their sushi is a solid 10/10, along with their rice. The server was absolutely wonderful and the inside was clean. read more

Food was good. However, you don't get your money's worth with the meat. They stuff a bunch of vegetables under the meat to make it look like you're getting a lot. The white sauce is delicious. I'd buy it again though. read more

I will NEVER visit Sakura again! I paided $30+ dollars for 2 dinner entrees and they couldn't even give me an extra yum yum sauce w/o charging me for it! Not only did the woman taking my order lie and say she was the owner, i only got 6 pieces of steak and 4 shrimp with nothing but a box full of rice and i was charged $17 dollars for it! We got Sushi and it wasn't fresh at all. It tasted disgusting and they want all that money for it. No thank you. Also interuppted me 3 times while trying to talk and kept telling me to "hang on".. this place isn't worth your time or money and your toilet will hate you later! read more

The sushi is dry which I don't recommend but their dinner and lunch specials are good enough. You have to take in mind it is in Eden and you won't get what you would in the city. When I come I usually get the edamame and the crab stars, or crab rangoons and am good off of that. If you're in town and are craving for Japanese, it's either this restaurant or Yuki of Japan. read more

Should have a no star option. Where else can you go to eat where the owner himself will tell you that their policy is to literally not allow you to request certain things or items be cooked a certain way, left out or questioned? That would be the place. Poor management, horrible manners and attitude towards his patrons and staff, not to mention his portions get smaller day after day. Four of us went to Sakura for supper this evening. We ordered drinks, then when she sat them down started telling her what our order was. They order vegetables premixed so you can't get them to leave out what you don't want (I hate onions). This USED to be my family's go to for Japanese since it was the only place in Eden with halfway decent food. Now, we gladly make the trip 20 minutes north to yamato's in Martinsville (where the food and service is excellent). The guy running the place is always super rude. We always have ordered our meals without certain vegetables, no problem. This past week, the waitress was ordered to strictly inform us that they would do it this once, but never again. I've given this place many chances and they only seem to get worse each time I return. There is always a new waitress every time we visit and a help wanted sign in the window. There's no wonder why. Needless to say every time my family eats there their stomachs are upset the rest of the day. Poor service and poor food. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! read more

The food here is great to me but the prices are a bit high unless you get a special. The reason my review is so low is because the manager here yelled at our waitress for no reason. He walked around with a mean face and made everyone at my table feel very uncomfortable. I felt horrible for the waitress so I felt like I had to tip more which drove my cost up more. read more

Our visit tonight was nothing short of miserable and uncomfortable. The one waitress working the dinner shift was doing a great job accommodating the guests, but the "manager" chose this time to school her on how things are done. To hear him repeatedly tell her "I tell you what to do and you do it" so that the entire restaurant could hear the conversation was more than annoying. She was very kindly attempting to explain to him what she was trying to say, but his arrogance wouldn't allow her the opportunity. This could explain the constant turnover in the wait staff there. Needless to say, we are done with Sakura. I won't even rate the food, I can't get past the attitude of the management and the way they disrespect their wait staff. Young lady, whoever you are, you did an excellent job and I hope you enjoyed the note and tip and that you weren't forced to share with anyone in the kitchen!!! read more
