Called to get a price for 1 hour body massage was quoted $30. I confirmed price twice and she said to come now. I showed up and she tried to charge me before services $50 and pulls out a price sheet. I advised I was told the body massage was $30. She confirmed with someone in the back that I had spoke to but she didn't honor the price quoted. Would've been a first time customer but will never give them a penny based on principal alone.

Don't waste your time. My experience was more of a rub instead of massage. No pressure at all.

The massage was not very relaxing. Juanita used short quick motions that made my muscles tense up... kinda reminded me of the same forceful motions that one would use on a manual washboard. And candidly, it felt like she was in quite a rush. (No, I didn't say anything to her because I wanted the full authentic experience that Fejjab Spa offers.) But she was very nice but not very skilled. Also, my massage ended way before my time should have. (I arrived a few minutes late, but even then, the massage ended at least 15 minutes earlier than the original time and there was no clarification if my time would be cut short or allowed to run for the amount of time that I purchased.) This was my first back facial. I was really looking forward to it because I knew there was a bunch of interesting things that I could not reach. The whole experience would have been immensely more enjoyable if they offered a heating lamp. What I discovered during my first experience is with all of the liquids, creams, lotions, and mask, my entire back was exposed and I was cold the entire time. I think the cold from the facial undid any relaxation from the massage. Perhaps the quality of service could have been given more grace, if the services weren't so expensive. I feel this experience was over-priced when compared to far more luxurious establishments offering the same services for less. Though my experience was disappointing,

The reasons why I want to update my review: Very relaxing atmosphere -- the center area isn't overly loud. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The skincare products they use feel nicer/better quality than what I've experienced at other spas. I also really appreciate that this is a 12+ facility, so there aren't small children running around. At some other spas, kids can be loud and make it harder to fully relax. Here, the atmosphere is much more peaceful, which makes a big difference when you're coming to relax

3.5 stars. Main…read morereason I wanted to try this place is because it's advertised that it doesn't get too crowded, but that's definitely not true during a Saturday afternoon. It's not crowded per se, but all the amenities are occupied - chairs taken, floor mats taken, etc. So, sure, it's not "crowded" but you can't really do anything in the co-ed area either. They also seemed to ration the towels, so you couldn't go into the spa multiple times unless you wanted to re-use your wet towels. Not really trying to do mental math on towel usage when I'm just trying to enjoy my life. The food was not it either. Solidly, 2 out of 5 stars. Not a lot of options. Ended up ordering two cold noodles. It wasn't very cold, and I could not chew thru the noodles at all and relied on swallowing them whole!? Last thing - I feel like the culture is different. Other korean spas I've been to really focus on the peace and quiet, and I understand there's always going to be yappers at whichever spa you go to. But, here, it seemed everyone disregarded the rule, viewing them just as general guidelines. Everyone was still quiet-ish but definitely making more noise than I've experienced at other places. Multiple people straight watching videos on their phones without earphones. The amenities are all there but just something not aligned here. If you're trying to relax a little bit, come during non-peak hours. Just know there are better options out there.

I feel like the facility keeps up their standards, and it is very clean. To be honest, you need at least a minimum of four hours here unless you want to rush. This is a perfect spot for a relaxing solo date or hanging out with friends or just a nice pick me up. When you walk in you pay for the service you like or just the day at the spa. They'll provide you a key for the locker and some clothes for the common area. You'll have to takeoff your shoes when you walk in and wear their slippers in the locker area. When you enter, put your stuff in the locker and take off your clothes. Note that the tub area and the showers are nudity only. There are no swimsuits allowed, however, once you're in the common area like going into the salt or ice rooms, you'll be able to put on the clothes that the front desk gives you. Please note that there is no phones allowed in the tub or locker room area. The showers and locker room areas provide a lot of toiletries for you to use such as hair, dryer lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There's also a lot of towels but be mindful of your use. I appreciated all the different rooms that they had in the common area such as the salt room, the forest room, ice room, and then just the big common area space where you can lay down. I'm probably messing some of the rooms, but I'm planning on coming back this month for some R&R time for my birthday. I'm also very grateful that they also have a small Korean restaurant within the vicinity and you can wear the clothes that they provide into the restaurant. If you don't want to go to the restaurant and aren't that hungry, there are drinks and desserts that you can buy in the common area and enjoy. I'm so happy that this place exists and I don't have to go all the way to ktown to enjoy a spa like this!

It was even featured in Beef on Netflix, so it already comes with that cinematic, aesthetic atmosphere The moment you walk in, you can feel the difference. The entire spa is designed with natural elements -- crystal chandeliers, wooden walls, and an impressive collection of over 500-year-old antiques. It doesn't feel like a typical commercial spa at all, more like a quiet, curated sanctuary for the mind. They also have separate lounges for men and women, which makes the whole experience feel more private and refined. The essential oils used are from doTERRA -- clean, natural, and not overpowering. I tried their 90-minute "Fresh Ginger & Mugwort Herbal Massage," and the whole treatment follows a very thoughtful, traditional wellness flow: It starts with freshly ground ginger applied to the body to warm you up from within -- you can literally feel the cold leaving your body Then comes hot stone therapy to raise your body temperature and deeply relax your muscles Finally, warm mugwort herbal compresses are used along pressure points, inspired by traditional Chinese medicine, leaving your body feeling light and rebalanced My therapist Tina had a very gentle and soothing technique -- not overly intense, but incredibly effective. The relaxation actually lasted longer, which is perfect if you've been stressed or not sleeping well. And honestly, the resort itself adds so much to the experience There are two 18-hole championship golf courses, plus private one-on-one yoga sessions -- it truly feels like a full-on retreat. The best part? For a resort-level spa like this, the pricing is actually very reasonable -- great value for what you get. In one sentence: This isn't just a massage -- it's a full mind-and-body reset. If you've been feeling drained or just want to escape LA for a bit, this place is absolutely worth saving

He concentrated on all of my problem areas and I felt happy and relaxed afterwards. The quiet room is clean and comfy and I was given a tasty little fruit cup. Now the bad: The price for a massage is reasonable, but you must pay an additional 39.00 if you want a to use their lockers or robe, take a shower or use the jacuzzi. This was unexpected and confusing. Before arriving, I had called for clarification of this policy and was only told that they would charge 39.00 for use of the jacuzzi. I had no idea that I wouldn't be given a robe or allowed to shower without paying the extra fee. I'm in a spa club and I have never run into this issue before. This confusion may have been due to a language barrier. The shower area has a sign saying that you must run the hot water for 10-15 minutes to obtain hot water (!). I did so and still had to take a cold shower because the water never got hot. The only towels available are very small and very thin. They are not large enough to wrap around your body. The jacuzzi area shows deferred maintenance with broken tile, missing robe hooks and mold/mildew on the ceiling between the jacuzzi and the showers (ick). This is a nice facility, but the policies are confusing and it's sadly lacking in general upkeep. (See pics)

But since this is my home location I will keep my review relevant to Whittier. They raise their prices $10 each year. Their front desk service is very inconsistent. Not sure if it's high turn over of employees but it's hit or miss. Many of the massage therapists who claim they are "firm" are not. Some talk your ear off and don't even pay attention to time. Facials are inconsistent. Some facials are good experiences with the person giving advice on how to manage the type of skin you have. Others will berate you on how you are using cheap products and should be using massage envy retail products. Booking here is ridiculous the reason I have experienced every therapist and aesthetician here is because the people I actually think are good are never available. I work a 9 to 5 so my options are very limited and I found that out very quickly when I signed that contract for my membership. I had immediate regret signing up but because I was dealing with postpartum and depression, getting massage was my self care and I just figured I would rough it out with my contract. I am usually the type of person that would order a steak and if I get chicken because the waiter messed up, I don't say anything. I would just say at least charge me for what I eat. I have had the same respect here. At the end of the day I knew that if I voiced my real opinions I would probably have had many of their staff fired. So I chose to just tip my 15% and book another appointment to use all the point I accumulate. Mind you I have had a lot of points in any given date because it was THAT inconvenient to book a decent massage therapist that I actually enjoyed. I have had to cancel before due to an emergency. They could not give a f***. They still threatened to take 50% of my pay for the services. Fine, it's in the fine print. It is what it is. So here is the cherry on top of this s*** show. I wanted to book my husband a massage for father's day. Of course there was no bookings. So I settled for the following week. I even booked myself one too and locked in a baby sitter, planned to get out of work early to make it on time etc. Morning of, we get a text saying that my husbands massage therapist was calling out sick and if we wanted to reschedule. I let them know I was so done with them. They WOULD NOT give me the money back (ironic huh?) so I was forced to reschedule my hubby's massage and then what did I get this morning? a text saying the same massage therapist her name is Raeann by the way, had called in sick again (so obviously don't trust her). I have since cancelled my membership but I want my $10 transfer fee to a non member ( my hubby) and my monthly $95 charge back since we have been cancelled on twice by the same person. Charge back with the bank is already in process. BUT why ? right? why should I have to go through this? I know for damn sure I am not the only unhappy member either. \ I encourage everyone to support local massage clinics and not a franchise chain that has lost everything they claim they stand for.

One of the first things I noticed was that the doors and windows aren't completely blacked out. You can actually see into the spa from outside, which immediately made the space feel more welcoming, professional, and comfortable. HUGE plus for me! I originally found Agave Beauty & Spa when I purchased a gift card for my aunt's 60th birthday. She absolutely LOVED her experience and has been coming back ever since Liz is now her go-to for facials, and Linda is her girl when she wants a strong massage! After hearing her rave about them, I finally decided to give Agave a try myself and... OHHH MY GOD! WHERE HAS THIS HIDDEN GEM BEEN?! My face was left feeling incredibly clean, refreshed, and rejuvenated. What I appreciated most was that there was ZERO pressure to buy expensive products, upgrade services, or add a bunch of extras. I've been to places where the constant upselling completely ruins the relaxing experience and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. None of that here. The service felt genuine, professional, and focused on what I actually needed. If you're looking for quality massages, facials, and professional spa services, I HIGHLY recommend Agave Beauty & Spa in Uptown Whittier. I work for the city, so best believe I'll be spreading the word about this hidden gem! 5 STARS -- you've definitely gained another customer!

Most spas offer lymphatic drainage with a facial, but I didn't want that. I just wanted the massage. I found Agave through Yelp and I am so glad I did. This place is located on a quiet street in uptown Whittier. There's free parking in front on the street or a free parking structure directly across. The place is small on the outside but seems bigger on the inside. It's super clean and gives off a relaxing vibe. The massage room has a wall of battery operated candles that give off that ambient lighting and the soothing music is the cherry on top. Liz is so sweet. Talking to her feels like talking to an old friend. She's knowledgeable and good at what she does. The first session I did, I just got the facial massage, but during my session she learned I was post op and suggested the chin contour treatment which comes with red light therapy to promote healing and another machine that uses heat to help tighten the skin. The massage feels like a good type of pain. I know she's working her magic and I leave Agave with my jawline snatched. I love how she suggests things I can do while at home, in between sessions. And she makes sure I'm doing my part to help myself heal. I can't wait to be fully healed and try the other treatments they offer. The prices are super reasonable which is why I'll for sure be back and be referring anyone and everyone.
