She said the tiger roll was the most popular. It was lightly fried, and surprisingly, that made all the difference! Get it. You won't regret it. (Devoured it before taking a picture of it). I already knew that I wanted the dragon roll, but I didn't see it anywhere on the menu, so when the guy came back to take my order I told him and he said they have it. This is what I get for ordering sushi takeout from Douglasville. This place's food was beyond terrible. My wife ordered the Hibachi Shrimp and Filet Mignon dinner, but instead received chicken and what I'm convinced was their NY strip. She ordered her red meat medium and received it blue rare. Her chicken on the other hand was over-cooked and dry. I ordered the 7pc nigiri & tuna roll. As soon as you opened the lid you get hit with an overpowering fishy smell. The texture was extremely slimy and the taste near made me gag. The majority of the fish was discolored. I fed it to my dogs and my lab even snubbed some of it. The fish was no-where close to fresh and their storage temperatures have to be questionable. Either way, they're going to get someone sick if they don't pay more attention to their quality control. This spot is small and does not offer seating which is understandable because of Covid-19. We ordered California roll, Volcano roll, Tiger roll and calamari. The rolls were large and freshly prepared so everyone was happy with the various selections. My only disappointment was the calamari, it was a little soft and limited. Me and three of my friends decided to hit this instead of our regular hot spot. Here is why I give it two stars: For one, you have a great atmosphere. Moving onto the ordering process (3 separate tickets): My two friends got the following (One ticket) : 1 crunchy crab roll Teriyaki shrimp and chicken combo Lobster tail dinner 2 iced teas My other friend got (One ticket): California Roll appetizer Water - no ice Steak and Shrimp combo I got (One ticket): One crunchy crab roll Chicken and Shrimp combo Diet coke Edemame We asked him to split the California roll between the two single parties. So, onto the fact that we had to ASK for literally everything. Refills. Napkins. Yumyum sauce. Silverware. Even straws. Our water was extremely rude. Seemed flustered that he had to do anything for us. Our food came out cold (with the exception of the sushi which was REALLY fresh. *gold star for that*) and the lobster smelled extremely fishy. Moving onto the payment process... I guess the fact that we asked him to split the bill... broke the waiter. We asked for our check, got the check for the couple and sat there for .... 40 minutes? Come to find out, because he didn't know how to split the check, he just avoided our table all together. We had to walk to the front to pay, which took another 15 minutes because he LITERALLY clicked 10 different things to add to our tabs that we never had just to try to get the check to work. After this happened, the manage took off my small roll, which was lovely, but I will not be returning here ANYTIME soon if that waiter is around. After driving an extra 20 miles out of the way to go here because of the good reviews I am EXTREMELY EXTREMELY Disappointed! And would NEVER eat here again! Not only was I charged almost an extra $10 for NOTHING ( because apparently their online menu prices are entirely different from their "NEW RAISED PRICES".) I was also charged an extra $1 over what even their new menu price charges for my dynamite roll (no explanation there) which was anything but "dynamite". (I've had better sushi rolls than this one from Publix!) Online it says $8.50 for what I ordered but their new menu price says $9.95 but yet for some reason I was charged $10.95 for the Dynamite Roll and it was basically a spicy tiny roll with some extra stale crunch and the lady said all the other fish was "mixed in". I also ordered the sashimi assortment and again online it says $11 they charged me $12.95 plus an extra $1 for wasabi and it was lunch so I should have gotten their 12 pieces of sashimi lunch special instead of the 9 I recieved for the same price I was charged and I should have gotten a salad as well because it was LUNCH ... they also include the soup at lunch but won't give you the soup if you order it to go. When I walked back in to ask if I had received the wrong order and tried to show them their menu prices and descriptions were completely different from what I was receiving I was treated harshly by the owner and actually laughed at and scoffed at by the owners rude son sitting at the hostess stand and had to request for an itemized receipt to try to later understand why my bill was $30 for 1 roll and a few pieces of sashimi for LUNCH! The differences in price would all be ok I guess (however I still just feel as a customer when you order something it should be clear what your being charged for and not just altered to whatever they decide at the register) if the food was amazing but the salmon which normally melts in my mouth at most sushi restaurants was tough and the dynamite roll crunch tasted stale. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! The food was mediocre at best, the owner and her son were extremely rude, and I feel like I was completely ripped off. The salmon was grossly chewy. I spat it out. The yellowtail tasted like old canned tuna. I spat that out. I was afraid to even try the eel because it looked all strangely twisted and wasn't warm. The tuna nigiri was the only thing I could swallow because I was so desperately hungry. The Gator roll was so globbed in sauce I only hope the fish under it was safe to eat and I don't get food poisoning. The rainbow roll, again had the questionable salmon, I had the cuts with tuna and it was underwhelming. Good quality fish should have flavor without tasting like it came from a trash can outside a seafood restaurant. Kroger has better sushi if you're looking for sushi to go. read more

We wanted a substitution for the philadelphia roll and nowhere on the menu did it say "No Substitutions for lunch". So for people who still want to try it out: THERE ARE NO SUBSTITUTIONS for lunch... My friend and I were put off because their philadelphia roll didn't automatically come with avocado but with cucumber instead. We weren't a fan. When the food came out, we had one fork wrapped in one napkin, a pair of chopsticks, and 2 drinks with straws. My meal came with miso soup, a salad, and a chirashi bowl. Where was my spoon? Where was my friend's chopsticks and/or fork? Where were our napkins? We had to ask for all those things. The waitress just put them down and walked away. Ok...thanks?.... ***Food*** It wasn't so bad. I've definitely had a lot better. The rice was good in the chirashi bowl. The tuna tasted old and weird. I didn't eat it. The ono was really delicious. Quantity of food was medium, not as large of sashimi pieces as I've had from other places. Philadelphia roll was eh. Didn't love their interpretation (cucumber instead of avocado) of what is supposed to be a pretty basic/generic roll. Also, our sprite was flat. How often does that happen?! We were so put off by the unhelpful waitress we just tried to ignore it. We didn't feel like making her day worse off than it already seemed.... The restaurant was recommended by a friend and we brought our sushi loving family. The family was both impressed by the look and variety in the sushi, sashimi and all the sushi boat specials. Don't get carry out here. The call quality is poor, and it's not from my side. They have pop music playing very loudly in the background, making it difficult to hear the person I'm telling my order to. I also imagine they have a hard time hearing me because they got my order wrong even after I had to repeat myself several times. Next, their white sauce is overpriced. They come in the small sauce containers, but they charge them for $1 each. I understand extra sauce being an extra charge with to go, but I've worked as a server at a japanese hibachi myself (among other places), and most places charge 50 cents or less. Not to mention, I know how white sauce is made. There is no reason this place needs to charge that much for extra sauce cups unless they are struggling to make a profit. As for their food, small portions and mediocre quality. My filet tasted and had the same texture like any other New York sirloin. Was supposed to be a shrimp/filet combo, too, but I only received the filet. When I called to make sure I didn't pay for the combo, they made it out like the wrong order was my fault. The person on the phone did not bother to read my order back to me when I placed it. When I called the second time, I had to pull my phone away from my ear because pop music was blaring from their side. I've eaten here once or twice oh a whim for lunch. It is quiet and empty. Service was decent, for an empty restaurant I hope it would be. When I went to the restaurant to pick up my order, it also wasn't busy, and there were 3 people around the cashier area. This Japanese Resturant used to be very good. Now, it is not. It went "from something to nothing" in about the past six months. Today, we experienced the worst meal for three people at $120 (no alcohol) I could expect. We ordered our usual which is Filet Mignon and Shrimp. The Shrimp was not prepared properly and undercooked. The sauces we normally received have been changed and they now give you an odd, oil-based ginger (with small bits of ginger) as a sauce. This place has gone downhill. It used to have the best waitstaff. We will not go there again. I should also say we arrived around 6 pm and we were the only people eating in this restaurant the entire time.
