I called this place last night and told them I was celiac and had to have gluten free. They said they could do it. Then, the told me how to order it in the delivery app and to make sure it said "gluten free" in the notes. I ordered 4 things. I saw all these glowing reviews on google and really wanted to try this restaurant. I also live in the area and see the parking lot full most days and most nights. Let's start with the good. There's plenty of parking, although I did have to drive around twice before I found somewhere to park. I did go on a Friday evening, so I did expect more traffic than on a regular weeknight or weekday. The restaurant is very large with plenty of seating and on entry we were greeted immediately. We opted to sit on the restaurant side and actually not partake in the habachi show. Our waiter did take some time to come to our table and take our drink and apetizer order but he was very polite. The appetizer was pretty good. I ordered a sushi appetizer and the fish was fresh. It wasnt the best I've ever had, but I did enjoy it. Now here comes the not so good part. I ordered a combo with fried Rice. I had a medium well filet mignon with shrimp as my protein. There was literally a handful of shrimp and a small amount of steak. Considering the combo, was $34.97, I expected more. The food was bland, it was unseasoned and the shrimp were rubbery. There was a white sauce, and I think they're using that as a means to season the dish. Overall, my order consisted of one appetizer, three alcoholic drinks, and two entrees, with a bill totaling $122.58 The price isn't necessarily a problem for me but the quality of food does not match the price. We happened to be in the area and in the mood for sushi, and this spot did not disappoint! We were seated quickly, and the service was prompt from start to finish. It wasn't crowded but seemed to be a steady lunch crowd coming in. They also had hibachi searing available but we chose regular seating- we were there for the sushi! The sushi was fresh, and the portion sizes were good--you definitely won't leave hungry. Plus, the lunch prices were a fantastic deal for the quality you get. This is by far the best hibachi spot in the Hiram area. There are several others, but the only one with quality meat is here. They've been consistently great. I've been here multiple times and I've never left hungry! The portions are pretty healthy. If o order extra noodles or rice I can turn one order into 3 meals. This is an honest review. I've been to this establishment before and had a great experience. Because of my previous experience my partner and I decided to try it again for lunch. Before this place opened we patiently waited from the time the sign went up in the empty lot. We were there opening week! Unfortunately today marked the last time I'll visit this establishment. Above everything else - good prices, good food, good service - CLEANLINESS AND THE ABSENCE OF BUGS RANKS HIGHLY!! I was halfway through my chicken bento lunch when I discovered a bug in my steamed rice. Halfway through, as in I had already been eating this rice. I couldn't believe my eyes! I picked it out with my chopstick and quickly took a picture because I thought surely it was something besides a bug. When I enlarged the photo there it was wings legs everything clearly visible. I'm gagging just typing this. My partner had ordered the same meal and was nearly finished with his bento box. This meant he eat the same bug rice. Having worked in restaurants before we're both aware of what happens when bugs get into rice before it's cooked. If there's one bug there are many and all the rice would be contaminated. I called the waitress over who called over her manager. All he offered was to remake my exact meal. I wanted to puke right there on the table at the thought of eating more of this food. That was their only offer to make this disgusting situation better. Meanwhile, I was still hungry and hadn't finished my lunch. I was angry at this point. The manager only offered to remove the price of my meal. They brought us a bill for over $30. My partner gave them his card and then realized he had also eaten this rice and started getting mad about this manager completely blowing us off. He demanded his card back and asked to speak to the manager again. He let him know exactly how mad we were and how disgusted we were at knowing we had been fed bugs in our rice. The manager said he'd do more and still charged us $20 for a bug meal. So if you like eating bugs in your rice or inspecting every thing in your meal to make sure you're not eating bugs... and if you do find them you'll still get charged as if you're trying to get something over on this establishment. DISGUSTING!!! And the manager's way of handling this situation was THE WORST!!! read more

This was our first time coming to this location. Previously we have been to the Acworth location. This location is more spacious and the atmosphere was really good. Good food and great service. One of the interesting thing that I did try was Ramune beverage. Never imagined I would get this beverage which was famous growing up in India. We came here for their Halloween deal, and the food quality was terrible. The "fried" rice was not fried it was mushy and had no sauce in it. The yum yum sauce was milky and watery, and tasted sour. I am a regular customer and I am so confused by this sudden food quality change. And when we asked to speak to the manager in regard to some sort of compensation as we did not really eat much of our food at all, they didn't offer anything. It's my first time having Hibachi so I can't compare it to other Hibachis. First, they are pretty busy since they just opened up, so fighting for parking space is pretty normal at this point in time. I came here on a Friday night which I assume, one of their busiest times! To my surprise, our party of 4 got seated right away. We took the last table of the restaurant, sharing it with 3 other parties. It's an interesting seating concept. One big round table gets 2 chefs, 2 different servers, seats about 18-20. It was a little disappointing that the later party got served before us but we are not that upset about it. Our appetizers came ten minutes later. The salad was mediocre (a little bland) but the soup made up for it! My mom wanted to ask for an extra cup because it was served hot and full of flavor. The whole experience was interesting! I've seen a lot more grand of a show when it comes to the whole hibachi experience on TV, but I believe theirs is pretty decent for what you pay for. Since I ordered the steak, mine was served first. My husband and my Dad got theirs 15 minutes after I got mine since they ordered the Salmon. I got 2 pcs of shrimp from what comes with the combo. I did wish they give more! This place can get pretty loud and I think it's fun for birthdays! Some tables can be more energetic than the other, depending on the chef stationed to you. If you don't mind spending 1 and half hour- two hours here, I definitely recommend it! I forgot to mentioned, I ordered two deep fried icecream and I never received it. But they attempted to seat each party extremely close. I had to kind of fuss for a little space. Management complied. The cook was extremely funny and attentive. Very entertaining. Food was delicious!!! They also have several sauce options to choose from. My kids enjoyed themselves. The other downside, once the cook was done I felt rushed to leave. At the Kennesaw location a hibachi menu item consists of a protein, if selected, with broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, zucchini, and onions that is seasoned very well.
