This place is a hidden gem in Hiram. This was my second time visiting this location and the service and food was very good. Although the restaurant looks small, it has a very homey feeling and the workers are very attentive. I think they may also be the owners but not sure. They make sure we stayed full on our drinks without having to ask and even gave us a complimentary appetizer for my party of 6. We also ordered the shrimp dumpling appetizer and it was very yummy. I ordered the teriyaki salmon with fried rice and the portions were very generous for the price.

Large, tasty nigiri and maki rolls.

I would rate Fuji Sushi 4 1/2 stars if I could. I had lunch there yesterday with a buddy. The service was attentive and friendly. I ordered hot tea - happily, it came in a largish pitcher, miso soup, side salad and various nigiri and temaki rolls. The fish was high quality and the nigiri rolls had large fish pieces for a very reasonable price. My buddy had a sushi lunch special. Overall, we were both very happy with the food and the service. They included large amounts of wasabi and Gary, as well as both regular and low sodium soy sauce. One minor complaint is that the sushi rice was warm. While we did arrive right when they opened, the rice should be prepared early enough in the day to cool at opening time. The other minor issue with the food was with the hand rolls. While the nigiri rolls were artfully prepared, and while the hand rolls were large and a had a good amount of quality filling, a typical sushi chef includes watercress sprouts, julienned carrots or some other garnish. These rolls were simply rice and filling, so a little plain. Also, the nori was a bit soggy, not crisp. The sushi chef is very young, so I believe that he will work out these minor wrinkles with more experience. I also wish that they would get a liquor license, at least for beer and wine. They are open seven days per week for lunch and dinner. To their further credit, they have routinely kept their inspection scores in the 90's. If they were closer to my house I would eat there multiple times every week.

My partner and I come here very frequently- twice a month at least. We have ordered most everything on the menu, and it has all been great! We love the sushi and the dumplings, but our most favorite is miso soup! The staff are so friendly and always ask about how we are doing. They have even remembered that my partner has an avocado allergy, and make sure that none of his food has avocado! They always have piano covers playing, and the decor fits the theme! This is by far my favorite restaurant!!

Stopped in for a late lunch and they didn't disappoint. The service was quick and food was amazing

    Pork dumplings with plastic inside

My husband and I went there right after a kid's party. We ordered a few dishes. I ordered the pork dumplings as an appetizer. When I took a bite, something tasted weird. I took it out of my mouth, unraveled the clear item, and it was a piece of plastic! Completely shocked and disgusted, we asked to speak to the manager and ask for our check. I would never go there again.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this delightful sushi place all the way out here in Hiram. The place was pretty full on a Friday night. I enjoyed a lovely green tea, avocado salad, and a roll from the chef's special. The avocado salad was really nice; just basic iceberg lettuce mix with really thinly sliced avocado slathered on top. The dressing was perfect with it. The menu sports the typical sushi rolls that you'd expect, a column of chef specials, and then another page of customer creations. That was really cool, and if I wasn't just visiting town I would come back and try a few more.

When you walk in, you pass a bunch of gumball-style dispensers and a not-so-clean, overcrowded fish tank. The windows aren't very clean, but neither is most anything inside. It's one of those places where about every third light bulb is out, there are boxes stacked up against the walls, the hostess has her own meal she's eating while she does other things, etc. The food is okay. Not terrible, but not great. Very standard Chinese buffet items: General Tso's chicken, egg drop soup, black pepper chicken (the black pepper chicken was actually quite good), lo me in, etc. Some of it may have been out for quite some time, depending on the time of day you arrive. The service was adequate. Not friendly at all, but not terribly cold. The hostess/server stopped offering refills on my drinks at a certain, indicating she was ready for me to leave. But she did a pretty good up to that point, but then I guess she reached her "limit," if you will. The guy making the sushi behind the bar was friendly, though he didn't address me in English; just smiled broadly when I thank him for making the food. Dessert is standard cookies-and-cake-out-of-a-box, but they also have a cooler of self-serve items like those crunchy Hershey's ice creams on a stick and small cups of ice cream. This is the only Chinese buffet in the area, so if you've got a hollow leg and a hankering for a buffet, this is your only option. All that said, for the amount you'll spend ($12 during the week, $15 during the weekend, and then add on $3 for a drink and the tax), you're looking at $20 a head, and you could get better quality food at Panda Express, if not the same volume of it. I won't be back, but it was worth the shot.

There were alot of downsides of this buffet. 1 the waiter came and took our drinks when we weren't even sat at our table. 2 there was not a lot of sushi options. 3 the spoon was dirty which is not a good look for a restaurant. 3 when I walked in there was 3 tables that had not been clean as the previous customer had been there. Overall I would not recommend I would much rather go to golden coral.

We ordered our food and...,.first off the waiter put in our order wrong, we did not receive three of the things we ordered. One half of the table were clearly regulars, a family of 5. They asked for a specific chef. The chef comes and sees them and tells them welcome back, then proceeds to start doing excessive customizations to their orders. Which is fine, but then he shorts the other half of the table. The family of five were all given triple rice while the other half of the table were given one serving of rice even though two of us ordered double. The family of 5 were treated like kings. The rest of us, what food we did get was overcooked, under seasoned, and barely portioned, except for veggies which we got more of because the family of 5 didn't want them. However it just.....felt very unfortunate to pay so much money only to leave with barely any food and without having received all we paid for, I won't be coming back again. Customer retention is important but it's nice to extend that attitude to new customers as well. I did call and speak to the manager to see if we were overcharged. He said no and I was going to let it go. Originally I wasn't going to write a review, but after we found the receipt and seeing we WERE charged for food we did not receive? It's just poor customer service. In this economy I can't justify coming back or trying again.

Sure, the food was still good, but there was a male server who was obnoxiously loud and trying to impress one of the female servers, at one pointing standing at our table and shouting "God D--n It" for some unknown reason. The female server suggested he apologize, but he kind of shrugged it off. If we didn't already have our food, I would've walked out. He didn't check on us very much during our visit and it wasn't busy, so not sure what his deal was. My wife really liked their food and as our area doesn't offer much variety other than Mexican, we went back a third time. It was busy but not quite packed just yet. She took our order, but gave it to another server to enter into their system, so my wife's order was wrong. I decided to try the ramen and it was subpar. Definitely not worth $16.99. Instead of a soft boiled egg like those served with real Japanese style ramen, they fried an egg over hard and tossed it on top. It continued to cook in the hot broth while my wife's replacement order took about 20 minutes to land at the table. The food was bad and the server blamed it on another employee. To boot, this restaurant is surrounded by neighborhoods with young parents, so there's a ton of kids in there. Between disappointing food, bad service, and noisy brats with tuned-out parents, we won't be back.

We were originally going to dine in for Hibachi, but this location also serves AYCE( all you can eat) KBBQ & Hot pot. It is one big restaurant, but it has a hibachi and sushi side, as well as a Korean barbecue and hot pot side. So if you want Korean barbecue, it's gonna be on the other side of the building. They can't bring hibachi/sushi menu foods to your table if you do the Korean barbecue and hot pot, and vice versa. I'm not the biggest fan of places like KPOT/kbbq & hot pot, but my friend was visiting us from out of the country. He insisted we do the kbbq & hot pot side of the restaurant. I do like volcano, restaurants, even though I don't typically like doing both barbecue and hot pot I decided to give volcano a chance. The reason why I don't like these places is because the meat is usually cut too thin so it's better to be on hot pot. But the seasoning and the hot pot is usually not the best so it's better to eat it on the grill . I opted to do only the Korean barbecue only, but if you want hot pot, it's a five dollar up charge. You can't just do only hot pot. My friend ended up getting both because he really wanted to try hot pot. Despite the name being korean barbecue, they actually had a lot of Chinese seasoning. If you look in the picture below, there is a Chinese barbecue seasoning. It's delicious. I love this dry rub that you can dip your meat into. I seriously think the dry rub was the best seasoning they had on the sauce bar. The sauce bar you could make your own sauces, as well as get some Korean side dishes, like kimchi and radish. They also have a small buffet area where they have noodles, Rangoon, dumplings, french fries, chicken nuggets. I really like their stirfry noodles. It was really flavorful! I highly recommend also getting some of the appetizers on the menu that is not on the buffet. They have corn cheese,Ramen, Korean rice cakes, veggie dishes, and more. I really liked the beef radish stew. I think I had four bowls of this. It was delicious, the beef was so tender, and the broth was just so flavorful. It's funny because my friend also tried the soup and he agreed the beef soup had more flavor than his hot pot . I did notice a problem with the meat being too thin for the grill because it burnt very fast and it sometimes stuck to the grill, but it wasn't as bad as their competitors K-Pot kbbq. Our server was very kind enough to change the grill anytime it got super dirty or if too much meat stuck on the grill. I also liked that the grill was really hot and it actually cooked our food. This is the main reason why I don't do both. I prefer going to a restaurant that specializes in Korean barbecue or go to a restaurant that specializes in hot pot. Despite our grill being very hot, I noticed mine friends hot pot took a long time to boil. I made sure his stove was actually on and it was on the highest setting. I took about an hour for his hot pot to actually start boiling, they do bring in pimping hot pot broth at the beginning. He was still able to cook his meats, but vegetables and thicker cuts of meat, took him a long time to cook. Oddly enough, the star of the show for us was the drinks and the desserts. We ordered three lychee bubble tea. It is a little on the sweeter side so I would mix it in with a little water or ask for a less sugar. But it was really refreshing and delicious. They have a few desserts like Chinese donuts, sesame balls, and a whole ice cream cooler. The ice cream was great. It's individually wrapped, and had three flavors, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Their service here is very nice. I was greeted by other servers and staff. I also like seeing that they feed the staff. There was a little corner where the staff was able to eat, which always makes me so happy to know that they take care of the them. Would I come here again? Probably but I'm sticking to only Korean barbecue. Only because the hot pot took forever to actually boil, and I preferred the dry rub which taste better with grilled meats. I would come here often if it was Korean barbecue with revolving sushi. I love volcano's sushi, and if they did Korean barbecue with it. That is a dangerous combo for me. I would be here every weekend.
