I have cardiomyopathy, A-Fib chronic and I'm in heart failure…read more I first saw Dr. Kamineni 2 years ago. He ordered no blood work, echo cardiagram or EKG. I was shocked! I called and told his assistance that I wanted an echo to compare to the one I had at OHSU in 2023. I also wanted him to check my blood, which he never ordered!! He is hard to understand. He is older and I think with my experience with cardiologist, he is BURNED out! I will never go back to him. Luckily when I went to this last appointment he was in ER surgery and I was seen by Andre PA. HE ordered all blood work. He took his time with me explaining everything. He said he didn't know why I was on so much meds. He took me off 2 of my water pills, 1 of my potassium pills, a heart med I didn't need to be on. Then told me about a specialist that comes from St V. Heart failure clinic in Portland once a month. Referred me to him. Now I've had an echo, right heartcath and gene testing, pulmonary testing and put in the correct heart meds!! Dr. Westerdahl from Portland is in the office once a month and is BY FAR much better than that old Dr. Kamineni. Highly recommend.

Well, except they did knock me out, and I had to spend one night in the hospital. But you know, not as bad as a root canal at the dentist! There was no pain. Did lots of testing in the weeks before surgery, no big deal. Very nice and very smart people helped me along the way. It has all gone well! I'm totally back to normal... if you consider me normal? The doctor's and staff at Providence St. Vincent Heart Clinic worked with the other 2 hospital's I was treated by out-of-state over the course of 18 months on the transplant list and now 6 years post heart transplant. They worked as a united team to give me the best care for my unique situation so that I could have somewhere local for my infusions pre-transplant instead of driving or flying for hours North and South. The heart failure and transplant teams were (and still are) encouraging and listen to my needs with care and consideration. I am so thankful for my team. They have taken the greatest care of me!

He has always treated us with the upmost compassion and care, as has all the staff at PCCOO. He has worked with various staff members and has never hesitated to refer him to other doctors or clinics when needed. He does his research and will let us know his honest opinions. He's able to relay concerns in a compassionate manner. We are so very thankful to have our son in his care. We have also had the wonderful experience of working with Dr. Kyser. He has always been knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind as well. Both doctors are very patient when answering questions and ensuring that we understand and are satisfied with the level and quality of responses given to us. I have not had one bad incidence at this clinic in the almost 19 years we have gone there. They have always gone above and beyond for my child and I couldn't recommend them more!!

When my child had the actually testing done by a different doctor a few months later, she was found to have fairly severe POTS, not dehydration. I would never recommend someone take their child here, it was a terrible experience. It also took 6 months for them to get the testing they did do back to us, and all they said was "it's normal" and I got zero actual test results which obviously weren't actually normal.

Every visit with him has been a challenge. He's rude, walks out in the middle of me answering his questions, was incompetent in removing my internal heart monitor, refuses to discuss anything other than plant-based eating and blames everything going on with my heart on my "regular diet" and my weight... I could go on but I think that's enough. My PCP discovered a heart murmur a year ago and asked that I see Dr. Garg to find out what was going on. After an ultrasound verified the murmur, Dr. Garg was ruder than he's ever been and I wrote to the Oregon Clinic to complain. When it recently came time for the annual followup, an appointment was made for me, without my knowledge, with a PA that I had never met. She was polite and tried to be helpful but her specialty is "gerontology" not "cardiology" - I have no idea why I was shuffled off to an underling who did not have any understanding of my heart history. I will be finding a different cardiologist before my next checkup comes around.
