My time there today was around 20 minutes from start to finish, shorter than some wait times in other medical facilities. They're attentive and gentle, ensuring your comfort all the way. I have been coming here for mammograms and breast MRI for about 5 years. The staff is always nice and efficient. My only issues had been when they transitioned to a new computer system a year or so ago, and that caused a hiccup in my MRI orders coming in and getting processed. Whether it is in person or on the phone, everyone is always courteous. The lobby is pretty big and with lots of seating, clean and well organized. no complaints just compliments. could not have gone any better! i had two tests scheduled but they were 10:15 and 3:00. i asked to have them back to back when i got there. they made it happen! i was going to have to be late to work that day but thanks to a friendly receptionist i got to work on time. the wait time was about 5 minutes for the first test and closer to 10 minutes for the second test. everyone was friendly and helpful! read more

I love this place. Went here for an ultrasound and the employee that conducted the ultrasound was very friendly and nice. She explained a lot of things as she went along and printed out some photos. It was a great experience. I would be happy to come back here if I need another ultrasound. The receptionist was friendly, fast, and was kind to my child. In fact, everyone in uniform smiled at us. Wonderful people! The clinic is clean and the staff very friendly. My first MRI experience and they made me very comfortable and treated me well. The MRI machine is rather loud. You can request music before entering the room. I requested smooth jazz but the sound of the machine being so loud, I should've chose Skrillex or Dead Mou5e which would've went nicely with the machines own sounds. They will provide you ear plugs which was so nice however will not drown out all sound. It's noisy. The ceiling is blue sky and trees in sunshine. It's beautiful and a very relaxing place to spend 30-45 minutes as there are so many photos taken. read more

The most incompetent scheduling department I have ever felt with . I will not even give it one star. I have had to call several times to get an MRI and each time I was given a different excuse as to why it has not been done. Then once scheduled they gave me the wrong day. I am an RN and I will tell my patients and doctors to use the two other options that Salem has to offer. So very disappointed again with SRC. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I had the same ultrasound performed three months apart at SRC and Salem Clinic. They were identical. Yet. Salem clinic charged less than $500... but somehow the SRC charged me more than $1200!!! I even asked how much it would cost before having it done... knowing that I'd be paying out of pocket but I was put off. Calling them did me no good.... Apparently, that "is what they charge (sigh)". This review is for one singular person that works at Salem Radiology and not the entire staff, I debated for a few days about if it was worth it to write a review about a single employee but the interactions that I had with her were so awful that I finally decided I needed to do it. If you're calling in to Salem Radiology and get a receptionist named Cathy (I was given her name by her boss) please do yourself a favor and ask to speak with someone else. This is what she did to me: I called into Salem Radiology to check on the status of a referral for an ultrasound (I'm pregnant) sent by my previous doctors office (I'd like to preface that this doctors office is a train wreck.) When I called in a woman answered and said she needed my name and date of birth. I gave it to her and she asked if I'd been there before; in which I responded yes but I must've been 12/13 at the time and it would be under my maiden name. I cracked a joke that I wasn't old enough to be married then in which she replied, "it's not like you're much older now...." Completely rude and insulting for absolutely no reason, not her place to speak on, HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HER JOB. I disregarded the comment and she went on to tell me that my referral wasn't there yet. Frustrated by my doctors office inability to do anything correctly or in a timely manner I explain to her my issue and ask her what she's suggest I do, (call them back myself, physically go down there and ask for it, etc) She tells me "this is like the 3rd issue we've had with this Dr. Office this week, don't worry about it, I'll call them and track down your referral for you, let's just get you an appointment booked with us." Fantastic, I thought wow that's amazing she's going out of her way to help me out. I booked the appointment with them and assumed because I was told she would track down my referral all I needed to do was show up for my appointment the following week! I then show up to my appointment at Salem Radiology with my husband who took time off work to be there to see our baby for the 1st time to be told by a different employee that they don't have my referral. I explain that I was specifically told by one of their employees that she would "track down" my referral and am furious that I was told this and that employee hadn't actually done anything other than call my doctors office once..... Now I'm aware that it's probably extremely difficult to track down every last patients referrals but DON'T TELL YOUR PATIENTS YOU'RE GOING TO DO THAT IF YOU AREN'T ACTUALLY GOING TO DO THAT!! The absolute WORST things this employee did didn't happen until the day after my original appointment with Salem Radiology. I received a call for my previous doctors office the next morning explaining that they had actually sent the referral. I called Salem Radiology, again not knowing who I'm speaking to and ask on the status of a referral. This women tells me they actually have it. (Praise) She then asks me when I want to get in...(I only have the next day in the afternoon open for weeks) I explain this to the women and tell her I'm sure they're extremely busy and the very calmly (because I don't know who this woman is or if she even knew what had happened) I explain to her what had happened the day before; she interrupts me to tell me "she was actually the one who booked my original appointment and that she did call them once and that most of this is actually my fault and that it's solely the clients responsibility to figure their referrals out, do I want a 3:45 the next day?" I said "What?!" And the she says, "okay great!" And the HANGS UP THE PHONE!!!! SHE HANGS UP ON A PATIENT!!! I can't even believe that someone who who verbally attack a patient on a phone call and then hang up on them still has a job there but she does. I spoke to her manager about this and he was extremely kind and I had fine experiences with every other staff member there. I'm simply writing this to warn potential clients calling in to ask who you're speaking to and again, if you get Cathy, please, ask for someone else. She's absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful, and should not still be working in a professional medical office!! read more

I have little complaint about testing itself - however I had a huge bill after my insurance and had made an agreement with them to pay $50.00 during my spouses cancer treatment because of the high cost of medical bills. I had paid monthly payments at times I paid more at times a little less with a note - all I could afford. I continued this way for a long time. But somewhere they changed things without notification and I received a letter from a collection agency - I called SRC and explained I had been making payments and instead of checking statements showing amount owed per month of $50.00 it was changed to $75.00 showing defaults per month - all they would have done was look back at what they sent - but they never. They said sorry, nothing they could do - I sent them a more formal letter hoping that someone (Management) would call me - it never happened. I left a couple of contact messages via their website as well- and once again nothing. Sadly I work with them a lot and although their testing is top notch - I can't say the same for policies are customer care. Sad really.. Troy* read more

I've been there several times, and the experience is always the same - AWESOME! Today, Kasandra made me feel welcome as she pleasantly checked me in with a smile. Then Joan gave me a painless IV, warm blanket, and helpful tips about how best to tie a bow in the scrubs. Alicha gave me another warm blanket and explained/performed the CT scan procedure. I injured my shoulder and was referred to Salem Radiology for an MRI arthrogram. A beautiful facility and the staff was super friendly. I only waited 5 minutes before being taken back. They determined I had torn my rotator cuff. Dr Fromwiller performed the procedure and did an excellent job and was very nice. No problem with my insurance or my billing. One of the nicest and efficient medical offices I've been to. I'll definitely request Salem Radiology in the future. read more

The people in the office are very condescending. One threatened me with collections because my insurance company sent the check made out to the name of the radiologist instead of "Salem Radiology" and somehow the doctor couldn't figure out what to do with it. That's a scary thought. Um. How about take it over to one of your office workers and let them figure it out for you doc? read more

Ultrasound lady told me to hold my breath but she did not tell me I could breathe now. She could see I was struggling and she still didn't say, "ok you can breathe now." She asked me the same question, to which I answered that I didn't know, about 7-8 times repeatedly. The breath thing was in retaliation for not answering the question the way she liked. Basically she tortured me. The reception staff doesn't understand how to provide patient records to the patient nor do they like to find HIPAA privacy disclosures and actually offer them, though they arm twist you to sign that you have read them. While the employee who did my mammogram was just fine, their receptionists and billing departments are not easy to work with. They gave me a hard time with my insurance, and I had to stand at the counter and call my insurance company (again) to confirm that the procedure was 100% covered. They threatened to turn me over to a collection agency when they did not get the insurance company's check (they had sent it to the doctor instead of their office and it's too bad they couldn't have worked that out themselves). I got the insurance check sent again - to ME this time and hand-carried it to the office. They couldn't figure out how to take the check since it was in my name. I had to explain to them that I only needed to endorse it over to them. They still hemmed and hawed until I finally got fed up and raised my voice. The following week I got another bill from them for "non-covered" charges. We all know the insurance company pays the "negotiated amount" with the provider. Had the check been made out in their name it would be a 0 balance. They are impossible to work with and I am fed up with dealing with them I will pay the amount because it isn't worth the stress to work with them any more. If you have a choice, save yourself the stress and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The people in this office are inept. read more

I have been to this office for many things from xrays to ultrasound and even a CT. Always had really good experiences. Very professional and pleasant staff. Results are to my doctor when they say they will be. I LOVE that when you call the office for anything you actually get a human on the phone and not an automated answering machine!! To me that is a real plus because I am never leaving a message and hoping somebody gets back to me. As far as billing, I have never had a problem. But then I take my insurance info to my appt so they have everything correct from the start. Makes me kind of wonder if there is more to the story on some of these other reviews....?? Also, the facility is actually owned and run by the doctors themselves, no board of directors calling the shots, which means equipment is newer and more 'cutting edge' and that makes me feel like I am getting the best quality test available.
