A friend highly recommended this place as he had stocked up during the pandemic. I was in the area and decided to try. I'm always looking for a great place to get meats that isn't a chain. This place was quite the disappointment!! Walked in and the closest employee (who is working the register) just stares at me and doesn't say a word. I nod and start looking around. There weren't a lot of steaks, but what they had looked horrible. They were all half or a quarter gray. Then I went to the bacon and noticed that ALL of the Smithfield bacon said "Best by 7/31" not sell buy, but best by. Well today is 8/14!!! Gross!!! That did it for me. I told the checkout guy what I noticed and I said no thanks, nothing here I want. Then left. I was so surprised what poor quality the food was. I will not be going back. read more

This place is amazing! It's a far drive but worth going. They make the freshest sandwiches around. The cold salads are fantastic. My favorite is the cranberry chicken salad. Their home-made bacon you get from the deli, it's probably one of the most natural, best tasting bacon I ever had. I also love the stuffed portobello mushrooms. Delicious. AMAZING GRINDERS I was told there grinders were great so I went and tried them WOW Salami Grinder weighed about 2 pounds . AMAZINGLY generous. Tom likes meat, and Tom stops at Salem Prime Cuts cause it's on his way home from work and they know meat. Tom sometimes calls ahead an gets a big-a$$ pork belly, because Tom makes his own bacon. Tom also sometimes becomes lazy and doesn't feel like cooking, and Salem Prime Cuts has pre-made dinners. Bonus. If you are a vegetarian, there is a box of potatoes in the corner. The meat is fresh and in some instances cut to order. They also have a deal for $110 that hasnt been mentioned here, theres two options, both equate to about $150 worth of meat. It lasts our family of 5 about a month and a half, and then we make the trip back out there. As mentioned the deli also has an amazing selection, and alot of things from local farmers. I first heard about Salem Prime Cuts through a community Facebook page. I decided to check them out when I heard about their $110 deal... There are two options to choose from and you get a lot of meat. I can't remember the differences off hand, but with the option I chose, I got: 10lbs ground beef 10lbs chicken breast 4lbs sausage links 2lbs bacon Pork chops (with bone) Steaks (at least 4) A beef roast And I'm probably forgetting something (possibly another roast). I make a homemade meat dinner about 2-3 times a week. All the meat lasted my family of 2 adults and 1 toddler about 4 months. The best part is that by not buying meat piece by piece on sale, I can easily keep track of how old each item is. I dedicate one shelf to meat now and everything gets used. And the quality of the meat can't even touch what I used to get at ShopRite. read more

My family had a reunion this week with anywhere from 35-70 people and Nancy and the Salem Prime Cuts team was FANTASTIC to work with and helped us get what we needed quickly, on time, and within budget. We ordered three meals for the weekend (2 lunches and a dinner) - great variety and she was able to put herself in our shoes as the customer in charge of entertaining. Everyone had rave reviews and kept asking where we ordered from, we were happy to share and since then our friends have driven out to SPC for some more HUGE grinders. I read some of the reviews that mentioned the lack of service and I think it is that people coming in demand to be greeted and that people are going to stop what they are doing. I waited but also watched why I was waiting. The counter help was putting their effort into the grinder they were building and when it was my turn - guess what. I got the same attention as the previous customer. I'll take that 1000x over a 'happy go lucky" or flighty insincere customer service. Give me quality and a real approach to giving me what I want. The food was delicious, I bought some bacon, some wings, their famous steak/sausage pinwheels and a grinder. I had never been before, despite driving by all the time. The service was exceptional. Having read the negative comments about the Deli service I didn't know what to expect. The staff could not have been more patient and accommodating. They even gave me a sample large piece of Bacon that had just been cooked...OMG. The bacon alone is worth the drive. I'll be back..oh, and I forgot to mention the Mac and Cheese....best I've ever had. read more

my family has purchased meats from salem cuts for years, my dad used to buy a 1/2 cow cut up how my dad wanted it, these butchers are great, they know their business and the meats are as fresh as you can get meat. my husband is from poland and his mom is here to visit, they drove to salem cuts and could not believe they sell intestine's, his mom fills the intestines with some type of potato mixture, and bake them, personally i do not eat them, but when our neighbors hear she is here and making intestines, well our deck is full of people. also the rest of the family is here to enjoy. she commented that even in poland she has a hard time finding intestines as fresh as salem cuts have,, great job to all at salem cuts, you are without a doubt the BEST!!! read more
