I've had my fair share of experiences with medical offices of all types. And while urgent cares have generally fallen into a mediocre category compared to other treatment centers, SwiftCare has set the new standard for all other urgent cares to live up to. The office is pristine, well-designed, and maintains reliable hours. The care, however, is what sets this place apart from any other. The staff, nurses, and physicians during my visit were so incredibly attentive, empathetic, and helpful. The service was truly unparalleled by any similar clinic that I have ever been to. Additionally, their pricing for out-of-pocket patients is reasonable, which rarely exists in the medical field at all in America. ZoomCare, a local competitor, charges at least twice as much for subpar care. If you're in need of urgent care, this is the place to receive it. Truly a five-star experience. read more

The nurses assistant that took my payment,Jessie, got snarky with me when I asked about how expensive " they were" compared with other clinics. He was all, I DIDN'T CHARGE YOU, I'm like okay your company overcharged me, but like my total bill was $480 I paid $270 because of my insurance. Jessie said," Your insurance is the reason it cost so much without insurance a walk in is $200. I was like , " well all this visit was for me was to get a refill on my thyroid medicine since the soonest I can get into my primary physician is in two months. Can't you do something?" Terrible and intentional scam. If you do not regularly cut yourself or otherwise need urgent care more frequently than every 3 years, you are billed $485 "new patient fee." They do not mention it or tell you. They just scam you and tack it onto the bill for the actual care you received. If you call, you get a person who knows nothing and claims that no front desk person will ever know what to bill. It is a "new patient fee." If you escalate, they blame it on Medicare. If you let them know you are not using Medicare, then they blame it on the CRS rules. They must bill you $485 for being a new patient. It's such a blatant ripoff and it takes advantage of wounded or sick people. This place should be shut down for unethical billing. This is the reason you can get in quickly. Once burned, you never come back. They wait on the edge of their web for another unsuspecting person needing medical attention. Do not allow them to feed on your back account. I made a same day appt for 10am on the website around 1:30am! I arrived and was immediately checked in and placed in a room. My vitals were checked and the nurse practitioner was very helpful. My only concern was that she touched a rash I had without gloves. I only worry because what if it was infectious and not an allergic reaction like I was assuming. They told me everything was covered and I owed no money. Then imagine my surprise when I got a bill for $272.74 a couple of weeks later. This was 15 minute visit and I was charged $539.12, so this clinic charges $2,156 an hour for care. One doctor, one assistant. After health insurance they charged me $272 out of pocket. All they did was take my temperature moved my arm and sent me out the door. No imaging, no message of follow up. Nothing about after care. This was a complete waste of a medical appointment and I would highly recommend going anywhere else. I am a veteran so if I would have gone to the emergency room it would have cost me $0. They said they accepted my insurance and I would have gone somewhere else if they were up front with their pricing. Doctor was nice, but did not do a thorough job. read more

I'm not one to leave bad reviews but my most recent visit to the West Salem SwiftCare facility charged me/my insurance just under $350.00 for the provider to stand at the door and speak for about 5 minutes and walk out. I did call the facility and the gal I spoke with said that is basically standard. That is outrageous. I understand paying for actual services provided but the provider did not even come near me to inspect my eye (reason for making the appointment). I loved going to this company for emergency needs but unfortunately, I will seek out a different urgent care. read more

First and last time I ever go here!.... The office billing person was so unprofessional and rude over the phone. I was not asking them for anything special. All I was doing is letting them know my insurance was working on reviewing some charges. This person made an snarky comment when I said the reason it was being reviewed is because I thought the bill was outrageous. She commented on how she thought that was cute of me to say that and giggled. The rest on the conversation she kept talking like it was a joke to her. I'm not one to go to urgent care, but I recently found myself in need of an exam for a severe sprain. I was able to see someone right away, booking an appointment on their site was incredibly easy. Everyone at the office was friendly. I never felt rushed and the exam was thorough. I was referred out for xrays and an MRI due to the severity of my injury. Wish I would have come in sooner! Have been there once in early 2024 and it was a good experience. Luckily for me, the front desk staff were very courteous and welcoming, which always sets the tone for the rest of what is often a stressful event--an urgent care visit. I have read the other reviews for this facility, where others did not experience courteous and kind front-desk staff, and that is very unfortunate. The people running healthcare facilities should ALWAYS make sure their front-facing staff have actual human-interaction skills. If they do not, they clearly are in the wrong line of work and should depart for some other line of work where they don't have to interact with other humans. Healthcare is stressful enough without having to deal with rude, condescending or nasty staff. That said, the staff at this facility were all very kind and respectful to me. The nurse who took my info was also kind, and the doctor was attentive, listened, and was kind as well. Was given a referral to a more specialized medical care giver and given a prescription, insurance went smoothly, everything was pretty simple. And was happy I was not forced into yet another online "patient portal" in order to visit this facility, having been hacked about 6 times via so-called "secure patient portals" over the years. So all in all, I recommend this place. I did check my insurance carrier first to make sure they were a preferred provider, which they were. Suggest people always do this themselves FIRST via directly contacting your insurance carrier. I only wish I could teleport there, because driving over the West Salem bridge stresses me out, so I don't love their location, although TBH they are just a short drive (minutes) past the bridge once you get into W. My eight year old son had an ear infection needed antibiotics. Stopped by without an appointment because they're an urgent care and literally market themselves as "immediate medical care". I was fine with paying extra. Their response: sorry, we're completely booked for today, make an appointment for tomorrow. If I wanted an appointment I'd have done it with our usual pediatrician. If you have anything urgent, go elsewhere, this place isn't an urgent care in spite of advertising to the contrary. I tried waiting there for a hour in case something freed up. No luck. Gave up and went home. Will be booking an appointment with my usual pediatrician. read more

The clinic may take your insurance but the specific doctor you're seeing might not so it's your responsibility upon arrival to call your insurance and ask if the doctor is covered by your plan. They tested for flu/covid which was negative and the doctor then said I definitely have strep throat. I was given a shot, liquid steroids and antibiotics were sent to my pharmacy. Two days later and the antibiotics weren't helping at all, I thought it was kinda weird she diagnosed me with strep without doing a test. Went to my primary care provider because I was still in severe pain, they did a strep test and it came back negative. I actually have mono and was misdiagnosed and given the wrong medications by this clinic. To make it even worse when given this specific medication while suffering from mono it can cause a severe rash which I am currently experiencing. My entire body is covered in hives and my face broke out in a terrible rash, my face is completely swollen, red and bumpy. Incredibly unprofessional and dangerous to diagnose me with something and not do a test to confirm and then give me medication that caused a severe reaction. I can't even believe a doctor would be so careless. Will never go back. read more

I would never recommend this place. I wanted to schedule an appt for my son to get a covid test after an exposure from school. I explained he could return to school and football if he tested negative after 7 days of quarantine. When she asked if he was vaccinated I told her no (she never asked his age or if there was a reason why he isn't). Her tone and treatment towards me changes immediately. She became very rude and told me the dr wouldn't approve a test for my son since he's not vaccinated and them told me "you wouldn't be in this position if you had your son vaccinated." Woke up in the middle of the night on aFriday with a bad ear ache was able to go on line and book a appointment for early Saturday morning 8:30 am gave me antibiotics to take care of it only downside to these urgent care centers in they don't prescribe pain medication but I knew that up front. If I could give a rating a zero or negative I would, but since one is the lowest rating, that is what I will choose. Granted, yes, scheduling and the wait time is super efficient. However, my experience was that I went in on a Sunday after having symptoms since Friday night of fever, cough and chills. With that said, I was promptly seen for my appointment time and tested for Covid. I did test positive so I have been out of work since August 6 which was my diagnosis date. This doctor was my diagnosing doctor and the only place I had been to confirm the diagnosis. I called back for a follow up appointment since I am still having cough and shortness of breath. I requested for them to fill out my short-term disability paperwork and was told "we do not do that. ""We do not fill out any type of FMLA or disability paperwork. "You have to go through your primary care doctor." So my understanding is that even though Susan Sligh FNP-C is the diagnosing provider and medical professional that treated me, She will not take the two minutes that it takes to sign the paperwork so I can file short-term disability???!! Since I've been without a paycheck for 3 weeks now.??? I called my primary care provider but since I haven't seen her since it is a transfer of care, I cannot be seen until the middle of September, which means I may not be having symptoms then, hopefully .As a healthcare professional myself , I am a fellow nurse, I find this very appalling and do not recommend going to Swiftcare. Obviously, they do not care about Patient centered care after you walk out the door. As long as they get their $450 for one office visit! Not impressed, never again. P. S. At first they were really good about getting us in and we're quick and efficient. My dad's had to go there for numerous bladder infections while his urologist figured out what was going on. Turns out if you go here for the same illness numerous times, then they will stop treating you for it. I've literally never seen or heard of a doctor's office turning you away because you had too many bladder infections. Like it's something you can choose not to have. Now I actively try to inform people and recommend that they don't use their services. I recommend you do the same. My dad is paraplegic if that makes a difference to anyone. read more

My grandmother is feeling terrible today. In just a few clicks I was able to get her an appointment where we didn't have to leave my car, get her swabbed for possible Covid, had a provider listen to her lungs and heart and check her out in the car and send in a prescription for her. The provider did it all. Everything from taking vitals to checking her out to sending the prescription. We were done with the visit very quickly also! A couple days ago I started to get headaches and sore throat so, just to be safe, I wanted to get a covid test. I went online to look for testing facilities and Swiftcare came up! What I liked it that you didn't need a doctor's referral to get one. I was able to schedule one for the next day. Today I drove behind the building, rang the bell and was helped almost immediately. I got my my temperature checked, my breathing checked, my oxygen levels checked, and my sinuses checked. I got tested however the nurse practitioner believes I may have a sinus infection so she was able to get a prescription written for antibiotics for me! She said if my test came back negative, to get the antibiotics to get rid of what she believes to be a sinus infection. All in all, I received amazing service! I truly appreciate the fact that they went above and beyond! I was a little scared but, the nurse practitioner made my whole experience really pleasant! If I ever need to get tested again, I'm definitely going back. read more

I made a appointment for some testing and they wouldn't take me in cause they had "low staff" after Excepting my appointment!! Came from Albany to get covid testing done and there ended up being an accident on the freeway which made us late, I called letting them know and the lady on the phone was very rude telling me they couldn't do my test anymore and that they were so booked that I would have to reschedule for another day - my roommate had an appointment after mine and she ended up having to text her dad for her insurance information as he gave her the wrong card and the same woman who was on the phone was helping her in person and told her if she got a reply in the next 5 minutes from her dad that they would do it and then she told her to just leave earlier next time like we were able to predict an accident causing traffic when we left on time. I developed an acute UTI and needed to be seen ASAP. I went on line at noon to see what times were available at SwiftCare in West Salem. The first available was at 3:35. I arrived at 3:25, checked in on an iPad in the lobby. In a short time a nurse came out to greet me and take my insurance card and ID. As I waited, I observed a spotlessly clean waiting area, as was the exam room and the restroom. I waited a very short time for the PA to come in to see me. I had a thorough exam and was at the pharmacy across the street by 4:10. Very clean, very professional, very attentive. I will certainly recommend SwiftCare to my family and friends. read more
