I went to Echo for three different reasons. The first was stress related. I was only 33 and I…read morethought if I didn't do something I would stroke out. She was very attentive and non-judgmental. After the session I had immediate results and after 6 sessions I no longer had the problem. I then went to see her because my daughter brought home coxsackie virus from pre-school. My daughter and husband both went to a conventional doctor and the anti-viral did almost nothing to remedy the situation. It still took two weeks to run its course and resolve. When I broke out in it, I went to Echo. Echo hooked me up with some Chinese herbs and a mineral mouth rinse and my problem was gone in two days. The third time I went to see Echo, I was having fertility issues. I am not saying she cure my problems, but after two years of "trying" and being told by the OB that we needed IVF and hormone therapy, we conceived after six months of Chinese herbs and reducing coffee intake. We don't know what did it, but Echo's advice did not hurt the situation and may be responsible for our ability to conceive.

This past week I had my 1st appointment with Dr. Daniels. He was pleasant to start but his mood…read morequickly changed when I began discussing my recent labs for my new Naturopathic Physician; she treats my thyroid disorder. Dr. Daniels was visibly and verbally expressive in his disdain for Naturopathic Medicine and quickly shut the conversation down by stating he would let her deal with that and he with deal with my hypertension. He spoke of his 25 years in medicine and stopped short of calling NP's quacks. I thanked him for his candor and left it alone. Unfortunately, I do not believe it is in my best interest to work with a doctor who is incapable of putting his personal bias aside for my best interest. It's not enough to have a medical degree and 25 years experience if you can't recognize the client should be first before your feelings. It is after all a NP who 'discovered' my thyroid disorder, not the family practice doc, or the internist, nor the gynecologist...all focused on medicating symptoms rather than finding a solution. Disappointing.

Because I've been in pain for years and not one medical specialist has been able to help me or give me any relief. Oh but I'm out of line for being upset right?
