I would give this place negative stars. They are overall just a pain to go to. I hit a pot hole in my car and it unaligned my car. I took it through AAA insurance since this is a place they send cars to which I will be talking to them about. Well the price ended up being less than my deductible which was good but they themselves said that since there is no visual damage and it passed inspection there is nothing else they can do. There is a huge clunk that happens when I turn the car on the freeway and they said that's the best they can do so I have to take it to the dealership on my end. If they can't fix the car completely why give it a mediocre try and bill me and send me somewhere else? Shouldn't a mechanic be able to fix it rather than sending it to another mechanic? I also had Fatima as my representative there and I would not recommend her. I had to be continuously calling her to get any sort of update on my car and there was issues when I went to initially pick up my car. They were charging me 480 when she had told me the final price was 355. I was about to pay when Sammy pulled up my car and said he wanted them to take another look at it because he heard a loud clunk and questioned why it passed inspection. They held on to it for another day and I got a call the next day to pick up my car because they can't do anything else to it and that it still sounds funky but there is no visual damage and it passed so there is that. They basically crossed their arms. I go to pick it up and the price is fixed to 355 and I am driving to work after they close and I tried to evade an accident and honk but to my dismay the horn wasn't working!!! My horn was disconnected! I was just in shock that I was close to being in an accident because a "reputable" mechanic gave me back my car when it's not up to legal code and my safety features aren't all working!! I called them and they were closed so I left a voicemail. I called them back today and Sammy picked up and I told him my horn isn't working and that it's disconnected and he said I have to wait for Fatima to get back to make an appt to come in for the technician to take a look at it!!! Like what?!?! My horn, a vital safety feature, isn't working because of them "fixing" my car and they said I have to continue to wait?? I am reporting them to my insurance because this place is so shady and unreliable. I can't believe they are still running! DO NOT COME HERE. Do not come here if you want your car working properly. Such a disgrace and disappointment to have to deal with their antics. Update: they called me back to try and fix my horn but since they can't visually see it (of course you can't visually see it from the outside) that they need to take the bumper off which is going to accumulate more labor that I have to pay. They are telling me to pay them again so they could fix their mistake. Lesson learned. Never coming here again nor recommending them. STEER CLEAR. I took it to the dealership to get it fixed correctly and to top it off they told me the initial alignment the Salinas collision shop did was CROOKED and they left loose bolts in my strut which was causing the noise!! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I went ahead and visited this location for my vehicle that was crashed in the front end area. My insurance AAA sent me directly to this collision repair as they are an in network location. I did some searching and realized they had horrible recent reviews, a majority of the reviewers clearly mentioned to avoid this location. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and I was proved wrong. I called ahead of time to let them know I would arrive in a few hours to drop off my vehicle per my insurance instructions. I didn't just show up unexpectedly and demand service I called ahead of time. As soon as I arrived I was "greeted" by Edgar Torres who sits at the front desk. He checked me in and told me to wait 30 minutes for him to get to my vehicle and I was okay with that no problem. Fast forward Edgar gets to my vehicle and does his routine inspection takes the pictures and then goes into the office to write up a contract for me to sign and agree upon repairs. I told Edgar I was not ready to sign the contract as my insurance had not mentioned anything about signing a contract and handing over my vehicle to the shop for repairs that same day. I was under the impression I was dropping off my vehicle for an inspection only that could take a few days (I was okay with that) I wasn't okay with Edgar being pushy and telling me that I need to sign this contract that I was not ready for. I clearly told Edgar that there was a miscommunication between him and the insurance as Edgar and I had never spoken prior to this. Edgar continues to aggressively pull the contract of the desk and then tares the contract in half in a very rude unprofessional aggressive manner and says to me "you just wasted 30 minutes of my day" . I went ahead and explained to this individual that he was being extremely rude and lacked any professionalism. He stated that the reason he aggressively tore the contract was because he needed to "shred them" and that they weren't going to fit in the shredder. Keep in mind these are 3 regular sheets of printer paper. This guy needs to be fired! Edgar is the representation of Salinas Collision Repair as customers make first contact with him. Mark the manager was nearby and I spoke to him and explained to him what had just happened. I advised him that Edgar needs to be dealt with because he is putting a horrible representation of this collision center. Mark the manager seems like he has a better head on his shoulders but we will see if he has a comment to this or how he addresses this employee. For now I urge everyone to avoid this location at all costs. It is not worth your time if they cannot treat you with respect and act professional. If you have AAA insurance ask them for a list of their in network shops and they will provide you a list that has 3 other shops that have better reviews. Avoid this shop unless you want to be disrespected and told that you wasted 30 minutes of their time even though they are being paid to help you. read more

DONT come here to get your car fixed. PLEASE READ ALL!! I got rear ended and the insurance sent me here and I regret choosing it. When I went in for an estimate Sammy was incredibly rude and his tone was very belittling just because my car is wrapped saying he wasn't going to work on it. I took off the wrap to show him the damage so he can finally work on it in hopes the rest of the repair will be smooth but it got worse. I wasn't updated on when it might be finished, I was actually the one calling the shop for updates. Once the car was ready for pick up I inspected the car and noticed that my hood had damage! I brought the damage to their attention and they then stated that they did not take pictures of my car before they worked on it so at this point it was my word against there's and they said my photos did not matter. The wrap was cracked because they washed the car without my consent and they were fully aware the entire car was wrapped. He told me he would speak to the manager and let me know what they could do. Fast forward to almost 2 months I stopped by the shop with an invoice for them because I had to order more material to get my hood fixed and pay for labor once again with the guy that wrapped my car which was a huge inconvenience for me. Sammy was acting like he didn't know who I was or what vehicle I'm talking about. I told him he never called me or emailed me regarding what the manager said and he said the manager was on vacation so he didn't call me. Once I was handing him the invoice he immediately got rude with me saying that they are not responsible for it and they are not going to pay anything. I told him they are responsible because I never gave consent to wash the car and now he was saying they never washed the car. He was not listening to me and made me feel very disrespected. He finished by telling me that if I have a problem to contact the car insurance for the payment because they could not own up to their mistake. They are greedy and don't care about customer satisfaction. It was suppose to be a quick patch and paint and then did over 2K in repairs. If Sammy ends up helping you go else where. I decided to go with this shop for the repair because I have used them for various jobs before. I was deeply disappointed this time around with the work and level of service, and I would never do business with them in the future. If you do business with AAA make sure to let them know and avoid this business. I submitted a vandalism claim through AAA for vandalism damages all around the vehicle [360]. The shop quoted $4100 and my mom dropped off the vehicle for repair. My mom primarily speaks Spanish and was assisted by Fatima. When we picked up the car, we noticed they failed to repair some scratches in the front bumper [under the license plate]. They initially tried saying the scratches were not part of the vandalism and would not be repaired. They argued the scratches weren't fixed because the bumper had other pre-existing damages.. Yes, the bumper had ding and scratches consistent with tear and wear, but the fresh scratches were part of the claim for which they were supposed to fix. When we complained, they said they would buff the scratches. When we got it back the scratches were exactly the same. When I called Sammy to figure out why, he was discourteous and made it seem like he was doing me a favor after charging the insurance nearly $4100. He tried saying it was miscommunication with my mom as to the expectations for the repairs because of a language barrier. SO I GUESS IF YOU DON'T SPEAK PERFECT SPANISH, DON'T EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS SHOP!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE... I would not recommend this shop to anyone.. read more

A coworker of mine backed up into my car in the empty parking lot at 6 in the morning. Had just gotten my car four months previously and this deeply frustrated me. Not to mention the other party involved has not been held accountable to this day. Nevertheless, they made the whole process easy to navigate from start to finish. My car came out looking just like the day I bought it not to mention how clean it was as well due to their sanitation precautions due to covid-19. Lastly, they were even willing to go out of their way and retrieve my credit card from within the door frame free of charge, it only took like 10 minutes to get it out. I'm not satisfied in any way on how this business operates . My wife was hit in her 2014 civic and I spoke to Johnny front desk receptionist and was recommended to wait until AAA was approving the claim to talk about the service . We waited 3 weeks for that to happen and we were told that the estimate amount was $7000 for the repairs . The results were terrible no communication at all from Fatima the estimator, a dent was left behind that was part of the accident and nothing was done by neither the AAA Insurance or Fatima to help or make things right , i been asking to talk to the manager and he's not there most of the time that's what I was told by Johnny. I will never go back or recommend nobody there ! Now let's talk about the work quality . Bad paint job with Runs on the Hood and 2 dents where on the new hood and Swirl marks on the entire new paint job . Seems there's no quality check before putting the car together and fixing the painters mistake , I told Fatima about it and was told to bring it back another day. I take it back a week later drop it off and get a call that the painter wouldn't be there for a week I waste my time to go back for my car and now I need to wait for them to call me to waste my time and take it again ! Not fair at all ! $7000 of repair cost for this bad service ? Get your employees trained or replace them because this is not the first time ! Don't waste your time here ! DO NOT EVER USE THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE USING INSURANCE!!! I waited a full two weeks after getting my car back to write this review. I wanted to make sure I wasn't giving you information purely from a place of frustration and irritation. Two weeks later, after talking with other mechanic shops, I am even more frustrated and irritated because of the incompetence of Salinas Collision. So here it is, a comprehensive and honest review. 1. We will start with cleanliness, you know, because we are in a pandemic and it should be a top priority. First off, when I picked up my car, they left the inside a horrific pigsty! The steering wheel and gear shift had nasty smears on them. The floor under the drivers seat was smeared with dirt as well. On the floor in the back seat, below my 3 year old's car seat, was a FREAKING RAZOR BLADE!!!!! When I opened my sun roof, the inside of the sun roof window was covered in dirt and grime. And my kid's travel box that was in the trunk area was covered in dirt, worse than my backyard after the fires and ash a few months ago. AND there was a dirty rag that was left on top of the box! Disgusting! I had to use an entire container of Clorox wipes to clean the inside of my car because it was so dirty. With that much dirt, I wouldn't be surprised if COVID had shown up. I was extremely upset because two days before I had picked up my car, I had spoken with Anthony on the phone who reassured me that my car would be detailed inside and out to make up for all of the issues they had caused (read later). I have never had a mechanic leave my car so disgusting and dirty! Also, the staff did NOT respect social distancing guidelines while I was picking up my car. I don't like people in my bubble outside of the pandemic, BACK UP! 2. Efficiency. Well, actually, they are the opposite of efficient here. They are completely INCOMPETENT. They had my car for TWO MONTHS. I picked up my car a month after they had told me my car would be done. And here was the most frustrating part. They would tell us the car would be done on a Tuesday, and then wouldn't even call us to tell us it was going to take longer. We had to call them to find out, "Oh, it won't be ready until next week." This happened for FOUR WEEKS. We would only find out if we called, they never called us even two days after they said it would be done. Talk about incompetent. 3. Unprofessional. EXTREMELY unprofessional. Aside from the unprofessional behavior that was incompetence, they were also completely incapable of accepting responsibility for their inability to do their job. They would give excuses and pretend like it was no big deal that they were taking so long and being so incompetent. Like when I picked up my car, and the gas was LOW. My car will tell you how far you can go with the gas in the tank, the light comes on at 30 miles. When I turned on my car to leave, the range was LOW, no mileage, just LOW, which meant I had less than 10 miles to drive! I have NEVER had my gas tank that low!! When I called them out to point out that my gas was empty, all Mark said was, "I don't know how that happened." He then proceeded to show me pictures of the odometer to prove they didn't drive the car more than 6 miles, so it wasn't their fault. Hello, are you a mechanic or not? Because I don't know jack about cars, but I DO know that you can waste gas without putting any miles on your car! Talk about unprofessional and incapable of accepting responsibility for your behavior! 4. They don't listen to you at all!! When they offered to give us a rental car (after they had the car for 6 weeks!), we told them we needed an SUV because we have kids and dogs during a pandemic. They gave us a car that was smaller than our sedan on the inside, AND told us we could not have the dogs in the car! Obviously they were not willing to listen! And when I picked my car up, they told me I needed to pay the deductible. I had called my insurance the day before, who told me I did not have to pay the deductible and that they had called the shop to tell them I didn't have to pay. When I mentioned this to their admin staff, I was told that I still had to pay it. I was so furious with their bull that I just paid it because I knew they wouldn't be willing to listen, and I would only get more excuses. 5. What did they do to make up for all of this incompetence and unprofessional behavior? They gave us a $100 visa giftcard. But when I know you were paid $15,000 for fixing my car, and you charged me the deductible when you shouldn't have, I know this was a pathetic attempt to gloss over your incompetence and horrible work ethic. Nice fail, buddy! If your insurance has a contract with this company, GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! They have contracts because they can't provide good enough service for people to be willing to pay for it themselves. And they will take advantage of you. read more

Both times I was here after my hit and run accident I had nothing but excellent service from all the people who work there! They are very friendly and do their best to work as quickly as possible to get stuff done. Jan was very personable and caring about the situation and the mechanic Michael was very helpful in explaining everything that was being done in a way that I could understand; he even washed my car and cleaned it out really well before returning it even though the damage was on the outside of the car! Insurance sent us here when we were new to Salinas. Didn't know any better then and had them repair the car. We are non-smokers and the car was returned to us stinking of cigarettes. When we complained they "cleaned" it by treating it with a chemical lemon scent which made matters worst. We had to air out that car for months even after detailing and special upholstery deodorizing treatment! Fast forward to today, and I go there for an insurance estimate. I had an appointment but no one would help. After speaking to the fifth person to walk by, the man in the side office comes out - I thought happily, finally he will help. He says grumpily, "you've been told to wait, she is on the phone and will see you when she's done" then he quickly turned around and walked back to his office. I am very disappointed with the way I was treated at my recent visit to Salinas Collision Repair. My dealership works with them for collision repairs so I thought I would give them a try. I called to make an appointment for a damaged bumper, everything seemed fine. I showed up for my appointment and the two people who greeted me seemed pleasant and polite. I filled in the form they requested and I was asked to wait outside while the person entered the info into their system to create the paperwork I would need to sign for them to take a look. Cool. Within a couple minutes she was back with the paperwork--quicker than I expected-- and began showing me where I needed to initial and sign. On the first point she explained that it authorized them to hook the car up to scan the computer before and after they worked on the vehicle. My first question was "Do I have to pay for it?". Followed up by "how much?". The answers were "yes," and "$180.". I asked "for each scan?". She said "yes." She explained that it was to protect them by documenting potential issues prior to the repair work versus issues after in case they caused damage. I asked for clarification since it seemed like a lot of money for me to pay to protect them, I'm already expecting $thousands to fix the bumper. She went to get Mark, the manager. I told him I needed clarification on what this charge was for. He was very dismissive and seemed offended that I was even asking any questions. I was shocked, and told him he shouldn't be offended by a customer asking for clarification. I said people should read paperwork before they sign. I was very uncomfortable with the situation, and expect more from a place of business when asked simple questions instead of acting indignant that I dare ask a question. I used this business to repair the damage I sustained to my 2005 Ford King Ranch F-150 truck after striking a bolster while driving thru a Burger King drive thru in 2019. They charged $4000 for those repairs to my auto insurance company plus an additional $10,000 to repaint the entire vehicle. They were paid to replace the drivers side mirror, and broke the new mirror while installing it, so that it vibrates when ever the truck is in motion. The paint job was poorly done, with several runs in the paint, along with patches on the bumpers that were missed! They also charged for the replacement of the existing window seals, and then failed to install them! I regret using this company, snd I will Never Make that Mistake Again!!! read more

Jan Hall is the person we spoke with and she gave us excellent customer service and they re painted the hood of our car did a wonderful job you can't even tell the difference in the paint. i paid roughly 1300 up front then my insurance paid another 4500 for parts that they forgot to order then i don't see how it takes almost over a month to fix a front bumper plus giving me the run around not updating me on the status of my car. i wouldn't recommend this place if you want you car fixed in a timely manner and good customer service. most definitely won't bring my car back read more
