I purchased used Dodge Challenger and hated the stock spoiler. I wanted it removed but realized it was going to be harder than I thought! I worked with Jaime and he told me it was totally doable! Picture it--in the parking of Trader Joe's on a windy day ... a car pulls in next to my 2014 royal blue Dodge RAM 1500 Hemi truck and BAM!!! The elderly driver of the car next to my truck loses control of his door and puts a noticeable dent in my passenger-side rear door. To say I was pissed is an understatement! So after careful consideration, I went over to Vortec, because I've always noticed a variety of cars pulling in to get work done, and I just liked their vibe. Long story short, they hooked an (Italian) brother up! I knew when I went in to get an estimate, I was going to be happy with their service when a lady came in with a tray of tortillas to feed the staff! Everybody knows you work better when you're not hungry. Anyway, I dropped my truck off at 8:30 AM on a Monday morning, and by the time I rode back down Del Monte Blvd. from getting a rental car, these dudes were already working on my truck!! I was sitting at that traffic light feeling--hella-impressed with their "get it done" behavior. Imagine my shock when someone from Vortec called me on Wednesday at 11 AM to tell me to pick up my truck! WHAT?! Come again? In my mind, I'm thinking, I just dropped it off; how could they be done?! All I can say is, it was done and done well! The paint job is flawless. The customer service was impeccable. The kindness of the staff answering the phones was invaluable in calming my nerves. I was in a bind a year ago and this review is way over due. Here's the story... My boyfriend and I get to Monterey at about 9PM at night my check oil light goes on. We just had a long day and now have to deal with this. We got to a gas station and put in some oil when we back up there is a puddle. So clearly no oil is staying in my engine and we have been running it to different places. Vortec's said it was closed but we decided to drive by just incase someone could help us. If not we thought we could leave it there and not have to pay for towing and deal with it in the morning. But we pulled up and there were people there. In fact there was a bunch of people there. So by chance they had a car club meeting at the shop. My boyfriend and I were slightly intimidated but walked up and explained the situation. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. They moved their cars so we could pull in to the garage. The people who did my oil change didn't screw in my cap tight enough so somewhere between sf and monterey it flew off. Vortec's got us up and running in no time and and informed me of what to do with the company that did my oil change. They even let us come back to get a receipt the next day so we can continue our night. Sorry for the long review but it was extremely necessary and Vortec's was a huge blessing on our troublesome night. Thank you guys so much for that night a year ago! read more

I was referred to this Shop by local tire store Newton's, I was looking for a good Autobody shop that would take on a small restoration project for me. I had purchased a 1936 Mullins Trailer out of state and brought it in to CA to restore. It had been painted previously and the paint job was bubbling through shortly after the owner had this done. So he tried to do work on it and finally gave up and sold it. Jamie was fair and honest from the first moment I stepped in his door. Other shops were not overly enthusiastic about taking on this little project so the quotes were outrageous from others. Jamie took every step of the process to superior level without compromising it at all. When I had a question or concern about how something needed to be adjusted or modified since it was being restored he took the extra time to figure it out. I really can't say enough about how great the trailer turned out better than I anticipated, extremely affordable and great quality. My 2014 Mercedes C250 was stolen and recovered with damages. This shop did an amazing job repairing my car and was also nice enough to to detail it inside and out, restoring it back to the condition that it was in prior to be stolen. Yes! I am totally satisfied with this Body Shop! They were polite, competent, and did an excellent job. I was rear-ended by a distracted driver. My 2002 Toyota Corolla was bluebook about 2,400.00. The damage was estimated to be around 4,000.00. I asked them to fix my truck so it closed, repair my license plate lights, and make my driver side door open easier from the inside. They did just the repairs l needed, for a very reasonable, fair price i could afford. They did it super fast too, one day, and gave me rides to boot. Highly suggest you go to them. All of the reviews here are correct..this place is amazing!! My daughter's car was hit & we received some outrageous bids to get it fixed. The other places wanted to replace all of the parts that were damaged & Vortec's said that was not necessary. The bid was about 1/2 of what the highest bid we had gotten elsewhere. I was skeptical as the price almost seemed too good to be true. But based on their reviews & how confident they were that the parts could be repaired & did not have to be replaced, we decided to go with them. I can't believe what a good job they did!! Not only was the work completed quicker then they had anticipated, they did an absolutely outstanding job. You can't tell there was ever any damage & they matched the paint to a tee. It is perfect! The customer service is equally top notch, so incredibly friendly & professional. They did a nice clean repair on my '96 Corolla wagon. Even matched the older paint near perfect. Also went above and beyond by swapping out the electric window parts from the old to the manual crank door I had picked up at a salvage yard (Peninsula Wreckers. They are good too) from the old door. I did not realize I had bought the manual door. They put in a lot of extra time to swap door pieces and did not charge me extra. read more
