Manny and Victor are artisans who care deeply about their craft. Despite a casual vibe and ramshackle office, they run a well-organized shop, including seamless, quick engagement with insurance. They have deep integrity, I trust them fundamentally. And they're incredibly nice, too. Even better, they're patient, and I'm curious and thorough in a way that sometimes tests people's patience. I took it through AAA insurance since this is a place they send cars to which I will be talking to them about. Well the price ended up being less than my deductible which was good but they themselves said that since there is no visual damage and it passed inspection there is nothing else they can do. There is a huge clunk that happens when I turn the car on the freeway and they said that's the best they can do so I have to take it to the dealership on my end. If they can't fix the car completely why give it a mediocre try and bill me and send me somewhere else? Shouldn't a mechanic be able to fix it rather than sending it to another mechanic? I also had Fatima as my representative there and I would not recommend her. I had to be continuously calling her to get any sort of update on my car and there was issues when I went to initially pick up my car. They were charging me 480 when she had told me the final price was 355. I was about to pay when Sammy pulled up my car and said he wanted them to take another look at it because he heard a loud clunk and questioned why it passed inspection. They held on to it for another day and I got a call the next day to pick up my car because they can't do anything else to it and that it still sounds funky but there is no visual damage and it passed so there is that. They basically crossed their arms. I go to pick it up and the price is fixed to 355 and I am driving to work after they close and I tried to evade an accident and honk but to my dismay the horn wasn't working!!! My horn was disconnected! I was just in shock that I was close to being in an accident because a "reputable" mechanic gave me back my car when it's not up to legal code and my safety features aren't all working!! I called them and they were closed so I left a voicemail. I called them back today and Sammy picked up and I told him my horn isn't working and that it's disconnected and he said I have to wait for Fatima to get back to make an appt to come in for the technician to take a look at it!!! Like what?!?! My horn, a vital safety feature, isn't working because of them "fixing" my car and they said I have to continue to wait?? I am reporting them to my insurance because this place is so shady and unreliable. I can't believe they are still running! DO NOT COME HERE. Do not come here if you want your car working properly. Such a disgrace and disappointment to have to deal with their antics. Update: they called me back to try and fix my horn but since they can't visually see it (of course you can't visually see it from the outside) that they need to take the bumper off which is going to accumulate more labor that I have to pay. They are telling me to pay them again so they could fix their mistake. Lesson learned. Never coming here again nor recommending them. STEER CLEAR. I took it to the dealership to get it fixed correctly and to top it off they told me the initial alignment the Salinas collision shop did was CROOKED and they left loose bolts in my strut which was causing the noise!!

I was scammed by Adrian (owner) and I've given him multiple opportunities and quite a long amount…read moreof time to pay me back but he has not followed through. I know I should've reported him to the feds and also filed a lawsuit but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and let him pay me back. Adrian was referred by a friend. Adrian was buying and selling vehicles from the auction houses. I sent him $20k for the purchase of a 2019 Nissan frontier. He told me it had water damage from a flood so he was looking for another and during that timeframe came across a 13' Nissan Gtr so I wired another 22k for the purchase. Needless to say, he was lying to me. He kept the money and used it and eventually came clean that that is what he did. He's signed several legal contracts promising to repay me but has only made a couple payments over the last couple years. Excuses only for why he can't pay. I am going to the police/Feds since this is a criminal matter due to the amount he has stolen. I wanted to let everyone know what type of person you're dealing with at Car Tech Auto Collision. If you decide to do work with him, be prepared to be in the same boat as I am.
