I, on the other hand, had been using a different dentist for the last few years and constantly complained about the treatment/staff. Needless to say, it was time for a change! More specifically, I recently chipped my front tooth and was extremely nervous that repairing the damage would only make it worse. I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Cohn and he was great from the start! He was sympathetic to all of my worries and listened to the concerns I had over the necessary procedure. After discussing the process, I felt extremely comfortable and confident at this practice. Dr. Cohn did a fantastic job repairing the damage and I couldn't have chosen a better place. It looks good as new! Dr. Cohn and his staff were extremely welcoming,helpful and likeable. The receptionist is particularly accomodating when scheduling an appointment and the support staff are great to talk to. Dr. Cohn is thorough, friendly, and even pretty funny. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist!

This place is a total joke. The office was fully aware what company I had as my dental insurer. I…read morewas told they would accept my insurance by an unnamed secretary. An appointment was scheduled but my pain increased. I called the office and left a message asking if they could possibly fit me in earlier. The doctor himself called me late in the evening to confirm that I could come in on an earlier date. He assured me that they would work on me that day. I arrived slightly early to complete the lengthy paperwork. The paperwork stipulated who I had for insurance once again. For some bizarre reason the doctor asked me if I was employed full time. Obviously if he had read the forms I had just submitted he would have seen I was unemployed. A woman who barely spoke English took my x-rays. She told me she doesn't handle the insurance paperwork the person that does that will be coming in later in the week and I need to call her for the approval of the work. No work was done on the day despite the fact that a few days earlier the doctor himself called me assuring me that I will be relieved of pain on my first visit. I was told to call to speak to the receptionist to confirm that they had gotten approval for my root canal from my insurance company. I must have called 20 times to leave messages and to speak to an individual named Kayla. Each and every time I was given another more ridiculous excuse including... that the person that usually handles their insurance is on vacation for two weeks and they have no way of reaching her. This means that nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody who has insurance would be able to get confirmation from their insurance company within this two week time frame. Stupidity like that would grind any dental practice to a complete halt. Obviously they were lying to me. Even my insurance company couldn't get ahold of whomever is supposed to handle insurance for this office. There's a dental portal that the information could have been quickly and easily submitted through for emergency service. Apparently nobody at this office is aware of that. They're unprofessionalism and complete stupidity setback my root canal 2 months. Thank God I found a much more competent office in a neighboring town to do my root canal. Oh, by the way they did take my x-rays exposing me to unneeded radiation and charging my dental insurance company for this. Why the hell would you take a person's x-rays without actually following through for them to get the root canal? These people are complete idiots. Avoid this office at all possible costs. Go anywhere! I mean literally anywhere but this place unless you want to waste your time and needlessly linger in agony.

Wow, I read the last review and had the totally opposite experience. I had a dental emergency, my…read moredentist was semi-retired and not available, and Dr. Lim stayed late and helped me. She was absolutely meticulous with every aspect of repairing my tooth. I use to go to a dental professor at Rutgers, then I became friends with a dentist who I went to for years who I loved. However, my experience with Dr. Lim was so positive, I was truly surprised to receive such exceptional care in today's rushed day and age. She was meticulous about there being no sharp edges, and exceptionally careful that surfaces were prepared properly and dry to get the best adhesion. I was so impressed that I made an appointment for a full exam and will go to this office from now on. Let me finish by saying that I am a doctor and felt that everything from hygiene to procedures was exceptional. Today with health care costs so high, doctors have to move quickly, and can not take the time they did in the past. Dr. Lim stayed late, didn't rush, and did a great job. I feel very lucky to have found a new dentist like Dr. Lim.

Dr Levine replaced a crown I had charged me $1000 out of pocket on top of insurance. About three weeks after the visit, I got a cist on my gums in the exact location of the crown. I went back to the dentist who took xrays and he could not find the cause of the infection. So he tells me that the 12 year old root canal must be the casue even though his xrays didn't show the infection up in the area where the root was workied on. So since he could not understand why I had an infection. He said I need to visit a specialist, well after some very painful surgery I was told the issue was the replacement crown was not set correctly and is what caused the infection. Upon speaking with the specialist it became very clear that the dentist sent me to him blaming the old root canal so he could wipe his hands with the issue. I had to pay another $600 out of pocket to clean up the shady work the dentist did. I tried calling and discussing this with Levine but he totally ignored my call mush like ignoring the fact he HIS WORK caused the infection. So please stay away and pick a more responsible dentist who takes responsibility for his work. I would give him Zero stars just for his total disregard for the truth.

Dental Associates of Bayonne helped my out when I had a dental emergency. After growing tired of…read moregetting no relief and the run around from my regular dentist and being in unbearable pain, I called around to several dentists near my workplace. Dental Associates took my insurance and was able to get me in for an emergency appointment the same day. After some x-rays, the doctor examined me and listened very carefully to what my concerns were. At the time I was in horrible pain from an infection, but I wasn't swollen and the x-ray was not showing any issues with the tooth. I ended up having to go for a root canal, but at the time I was now clearly swollen and had to wait for an antibiotic to kick in. The next day I had to go to a local oral surgeon to have the abscess drained. A week later, I had the root canal completed. As far as waiting times, I would say they are no better or worse than any other dental office I have visited. As far as the office being "dirty" I completely disagree. It is not fancy, but it is definitely NOT dirty.
