I don't understand all the negative reviews for this location, you walk in, get what you came for and check out. If they don't have what you need you leave. I've never had a need to talk with the staff here, the aisles are clearly marked and it's a really small store so you won't be confused about where to find something. I called friday to see if I could get the ion color brilliance color treatment (that apparently only they sell), no answer. I went to the location and they had a sign that they were closed to re-merchandise the store But the estimated re-open day was 12/13. Which was the day I visited. I knocked No one answered but the lights were on. So I just left. It is now the following Monday 12/16. I called and still no one answered. I'm not wasting 20mins to drive back over there n them be closed again. Apparently theyre the closest one to me now I gotta drive out the way 30mins just to get one damn product. Alwaysss has what i need BUT the employees are extremely rude. One time i brought a drink in the store and the employee told me "food and drinks not allowed in the store, store policy" without even looking up at me or offering to hold it for me at the cash wrap. Another time, this same employee refused to grant me an exchange because there was "no telling where i got the products from or if i even got them from Sally's in the first place". I asked her to look up my account to see the transaction and she told me she couldn't. I went to another Sally's location where they were HAPPY to look up my receipt through their system and let me exchange products. Probably won't be back, there are Sally's all over the place with employees that actually like their jobs. read more

Sally stole $10 from me and it took over a month to get it back. It all started innocently enough during a routine stop to pick-up more bleach to maintain my blonde ambition. This isn't my normal store, but I was in the area and figured it was worth my time (and made sense) to combine trips. I had just been next door Walmart and after getting cash at an ATM I went to see Sally. My total ended in $.01 and I gave the cashier a 20 dollar bill plus one penny. She gave me change back for a 10 dollar bill. I immediately corrected her and she told me I was wrong. I pressed a little farther because I was confident that I only had $20's in my wallet after stopping at the ATM. What happened next was never explained to me. A woman wearing a bedazzled American flag shirt came up. She was eating a cheeseburger. She started to count the money in the cash register. I assume she was a manager and was counting down the drawer as though it were being closed for the day. After a few minutes she was done counting (and finished eating the cheeseburger) and I was told that the register count was not off enough to show that there was an extra $10. Ridiculous. I returned the products I just purchased and when I asked for the original receipt back to pursue the transaction with someone at their corporate office she refused. She said I didn't have the merchandise anymore and I didn't have a receipt, although she eventually relented and let me take a picture of it with my phone. I attempted to contact this lady's boss on and off for a few weeks. No lucky. Finally I went on Twitter and blasted the company. They provided an email address and I got a call back the next day. The store's regional manager was very apologetic and told me I could go back to that store and get my $10 in cash. That's what I did 2 days later. Oh, I forgot to mention the incredibly loooooong message that the American flag lady typed about me when completing my return. I've brought stuff back to other Sally locations and it's never taken longer than a minute and a few keystrokes to complete the process. I feel like she wrote something defamatory about me. I'm incredibly curious, although I think I'm probably lucky just to get my 10 bucks back. read more

This store is the closest to where I live an will never go back I've been twice and both times were the worst experiences. I can't believe a corporate store would let the people who work there run it to the ground like that. The staff way rude the gel nail polish two that I bought were soo old dried out. The staff is extremely rude both times I've been there. They don't know any of the sales promotions or really anything about the product I will never be back to this location and has told all my coworkers not to go here. They didn't need my money. I walked in and my greeting was a tart "Can we help you?" From the cashier with a look that I can only describe as stank. Not the best start. So I smiled sweetly and said "I'm just looking, thank you." As I drifted towards the back another worker came out of the back room she glared at me as if I offended her. I treated her exactly how I did the cashier: I smiled sweetly and said "Hello" and the employee responded. At this point, I was just checking the inventory to see if maybe the one by my house would have what I needed. I left empty handed and no one said anything to me, no "Have a nice day" no "Thank you, come again" nothing. I'll do my shopping online if I want 0 employee interaction. read more

I go to this location on occasion only because it's near my house. However, seeing as is it is in the Chamblee Walmart plaza 1) parking sucks. Only with sucky parking, the customer service is just bad. The employees just seem ANNOYED that you have the audacity to be in the store shopping. A friend and I went into the store on 2/18/2023 to buy several items; immediately I felt as if I interrupted a taping of RHOA. I had to go and ask for help because the associates were talking about zodiac signs and how to have babies. There was one associate who seem like she was there for the right reasons; she helped and made me feel like she cared about me being a customer. I was buying close to $200 worth of products and I was checking out; normally even if I don't have my card they can look me up in their system. The associate at the front desk couldn't find me through phone number and didn't ask if there was an alternate method I would like to use; I had to ask her. She then attempted to look me up by email and couldn't find me; she then had to start the POS process over and when asked about it, she gave a snippy answer. I decided to just leave. Needless to say, I will never return to that particular Sally's Beauty again. I'll go way out of my way to find another one. read more

This sally's had every thing that I was looking for first time visit to this location . my only concern is that they do not provide bags for customers who are purchasing items out of their store the young lady at the front asked me if I would like to purchase a bag for $.15 and I think for someone as a first time customer at a location at a business that someone should not have to pay for a bag to put their items in that i purchased from the store , that honestly made me not want to go back there or shop there because that's ridiculous. I wish this wasn't the closest Sally's to me, but unfortunately it is, and it's 7 miles away. Sigh. I started coming here because of that, and the first time I came, I should have known it was a precursor to what I would end up experiencing time and time again. The store is situated in the same parking lot as a Walmart, and several other stores. The parking lot absolutely CANNOT handle the amount of traffic there. It's full no matter what time of day you go. I've gone after work around 6pm, I've got at noon on the weekend, and I've gone around 7pm. It's always completely full. You're lucky to get a spot, but it's more likely you'll end up driving around the lot for a few minutes waiting for someone to pull out. The way this Sally's is, is that it doesn't have an entrance that opens up to the street, which would be logical. It opens on the side, where there is a sort of small courtyard. It's a double door, but one of the doors is completely blocked with merchandise. So if you're looking for it the first time, your eyes may look over it, since there are things blocking the door. When I came here, it was because of my ambitions of lightening my hair and going red. I bought the whole shebang here: bleach, activator, mixing bottle, gloves, mixing bowl. My hair reaches my waist, so I had to purchase two boxes of dye. Unfortunately, they had one remaining box left of the dye I needed. I asked them if they had any in the back, and then they told me that I should just get the corresponding hi-lite kit in the red color, because it "was the exact same". Dubiously, I picked it up and purchased it. To be fair, it didn't ruin my hair, but it DEFINITELY wasn't the same as the boxed dye! It made my hair a shockingly vibrant red, which was nowhere near what I was looking for. I wanted a nice strawberry red type of color, not a vibrant red. They are supposed to know what they're talking about... Right? Not here, they don't. I imagine these are just regular people who know nothing about coloring hair, or maybe they dropped out of beauty school? Who knows, but they shouldn't be giving advice if they don't know what they're talking about. After I learned from that mistake, I've been back a few times because, like I said, closest location. Every time I've come back, they've had low stock. You would think if they run out of the same colors consistently, or are only down to a single box, they would purchase more of that product. I mean, that's a logical conclusion to make, because it's obviously a popular color that the customer will continue to purchase. Luckily, the formula I now use is two different boxes: a medium blonde, and a medium red. I've ended up taking the last red box multiple times. And if that box isn't there, I just go for the light red of the same brand (which usually will also only have one or two remaining boxes), because I like the way my hair turns out with either red. PROS: -They have a lot of other things you'd need to dye your hair. -You can buy the Sally's card and get discounts on a lot of products. This makes the prices fairly comparative. CONS: -Awful customer service. They truly don't care about your business. -Constantly running out of stock, as well as only have one or two boxes left. This has happened EVERY time I've been here. -The aisles are so narrow that two people can't stand back-to-back. I have to move out of the way of associates, who will unapologetically knock into me if I don't move. -They don't have any level 10 developer stock from any brand, at all. (Not sure if this is a general Sally's thing, or only at this location?) -The workers don't actually know anything about hair dye or dying hair. AKA, I know more about hair than they do because I have actually gone through my own trial and error process. -Parking lot is always packed. You'll often have to wait for a spot to open up. -Parking lot is also full of trash, and discarded food containers. It has a very sketchy feel about it that only comes with people standing out on the sidewalk and watching you walk away from your car. THE VERDICT: It's the closest Sally's to where I live, and it's still 7 miles away. Luckily, I now have all the necessary things I need to dye my hair, and only ever need to pick up the dye itself. I purchase the other products elsewhere. The customer service is nil here, and the sales associates don't seem to know much about dying hair or hair dye. They aren't exceptionally rude, more like they don't really care to be working and don't want to be bothered to be polite, even if you are. If they widened the aisles a little, and made the effort to carry more stock, that would give this place another star. However, they don't seem like they can be bothered to stock extra supplies of popular colors, even if they sell out time and time again. Come here at your own risk, because there's a good chance the hair color you're looking for will be sold out. read more

Disappointing. I was shopping with my friend. I'm white. She is black. I had a difficult time getting assistance because the shopkeepers were so focused following my friend around - obviously concerned that she would steal something. It was so excessive my friend went on to the next store. I won't bother with this location again which is too bad as it is the most convenient to me. They are the rudest Sally's employees I have ever encountered. I've shopped at many all over Atlanta, and these women act like they resent you for being there. The parking here is terrible as well. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this location. I have been a licensed hairstylist for over 20 years so you can imagine how many different Sally beauty supplies I have been through in that time. The employees there really know what they're talking about when it comes to style color and nails which is a lot more than I can say for other Sally's,they always greet me with a smile and nine times out of 10 they remember my name which is so cool to me. The only downfall which of course has nothing to do with you guys,is the shitty parking due to Walmart. The only time you can avoid parking is coming at 8 o'clock in the morning before Sally's opens or going at midnight . It really seems like every sat and Sunday are so packed ,you Would think it was Christmas Eve. It's so frustrating. I wish you guys could have your own spots like Sally's parking only ,you'd be amazed at how much business we go out read more

I have shopped at this particular Sally's on several occasions and never had a problem until recently. The manager there gave me a hard time since I didn't have a receipt. When I asked her to look up my card, all I got was a HORRIBLY BAD ATTITUDE. There were also 2 other employees there who went to go get the manager instead of at least trying to help me. It took me over 15 MINUTES to get the situation somewhat resolved. I'm not going to necessarily stop shopping at Sally's, but this particular location will NEVER get my business again! DON'T GO!
