The fragrance department seems to focus on specific designers, which makes it easier to browse for specific fragrances. I also like their emphasis on more organic and clean product options, which is a good thing in beauty retail. I prefer the App to shop as it's efficient and seamless, making the for in-in store or drive-up pickup quick and convenient. Signing up for the Rewards program can offset some of the high ticket items, yet worth it when you can redeem free goodies. read more

So this Sephora is in perimeter Mall, it has two entrances and free parking. It's very nice and spacious so you should be able to find what you're looking for because they have plenty of products to choose from. I would say it was clean but they were under construction when I was there so I can't take that too. Harsh, I totally understand. But it still it was still set up an appropriate way where things are easy to find. The customer service was really good. I had multiple people inquiring about what I was looking for, giving me suggestions, and all sorts of help that somebody asked for and somebody did not LOL. But they have more than enough people in the store to give assistance sell. The customer service was top-tier. I'm only really shopping for men's cologne and they don't have the biggest section of that but it was actually enough. They have plenty of variations of multiple brands that you're looking for. What I was looking for specifically they did not have on the shelf but they went to the back and found it for me right away. I always go to this specific location for a reason. The customer service is ALWAYS top tier. Everytime I've come to this Sephora, the staff has gone over the top to help me. They not only show me what I'm looking for, but they go as far as check if I'm satisfied, even if I have to try multiple options. Yesterday I encountered Tiffany and Emily, who were such a great help to me. I was struggling with picking out the right foundation and brush pairing, and they were so patient to guide me towards the perfect match. While I have no problem speaking up, I don't always like to be that person who's like hmm sorry not this one, but they were really patient and dedicated to helping me find what worked best. So needless to say I left happy, and after trying out that makeup today, I'm even happier. I live near 3 Sephora's, about 10/15 mins away. But this is why I return to this one. I came to this location beginning-middle of February to acquire my Beauty Rewards birthday month gift, as well as get some other items. Despite being very busy on a Saturday late afternoon, I was able to be assisted by two staff members - one at the back of the store and one at the front. I purchased some skin care and other makeup products, and was on my way within 30 minutes. At the cash register, I also found out I had enough points to also secure a rewards gift, which was lovely. I also learned that they have two entrances, and will definitely park at their other entrance next time so I don't need to walk through the mall. The customer service is awful. Instead of helping us locate an item in the store they told us they didn't have it, even when the website said they had it in stock at this location. I had to find it myself. The store was closing in 10 minutes so they locked the back doors and told us to walk out and around to exit instead of just undoing the lock. I had a baby in the stroller. While I'm not a big makeup person in general I do own a ton that I wear mostly on special occasions or when I'm going out. On a normal day I want simple, natural, and quick. So I went in to Sephora today and asked one of the lovely beauty specialist to assist me with my look. She was super helpful, friendly, and understood exactly what I was needing. She showed me the Anastasia face pallet in off to Costa Rica which has bronzer, highlighter, and blush in medium tan colors amber brown, bronze gold, and bright coral. The colors we're beautiful and was just what I was looking for. I also need a new concealer for my dark circles under eye and she directed me to the Sephora clear and cover concealer. The amber was perfect and blended so well into my skin you couldn't even tell. I also got a free gift of Anastasia lash brag mascara and blending brush. I will definitely be back to try some other products. read more

I use to come to the Sephora a lot when I lived in the area but since I've moved I only come here occasionally now. Still it's a great location and the staff are always great. I particularly like Sephora's kits that they have around the holidays where they have samples of their best sellers. This usually including best selling lip gloss, best selling primers, etc. The kits run about $40-$65 bucks and they are a great way to try new items without spending a whole lot of money. Plus they make great stocking stuffers for people that are into that kind of stuff. I've made many purchases over the years here and always left a happy customer...thanks guys... read more

Terrie is just wonderful, and the general vibe in the store since she's taken the reigns is great! On more than one occasion, Terrie has helped me to find a product and to answer my questions. She has been courteous and kind and helped me personally. Even the staff has been more courteous and helpful since Terrie's arrival, and I don't usually think of the folks of Sephora as being keen to help. On a recent visit, I was a little sad that I had gotten a birthday gift at the Lenox Sephora store, and the box was open. I showed Terrie and she replaced the gift with a new, unopened item. Horrible - zero stars. Bought full sized Fenty hair care products and they came with a sample/gift. Cashier asked which of the gifts I wanted, but caught an attitude when I asked to see them. Once she showed me, she said, What do you want?" in a a rude tone. I told her not to speak to me that way and it's which of these would you like without the attitude. Other cashier stated I was being rude because the individual couldn't speak English well. I ignored her because the cashier helping me spoke English well enough to be rude in tone and body language. Checked out and said Thank you. The cashier helping didn't say You're welcome or anything back, so I asked for a refund. Rude cashier told me I had to re-enter the long of people to get a refund, I refused and someone else helped me as she walked off from the register to the floor. This location is by far the worst location of Sephora I've been to. Nobody really helps you with anything. Not a single person asked if I wanted help, and I was waiting at one of displays for a good 20 minutes, just testing products on my own, before I had to flag someone down to ask a question. I know a lot of people go into Sephora knowing what they want already, but this one time that I actually had a question about a new face exfoliator, no one was around to help. The manager had to get her attention so I could finally check out. If she's new, then she needs more training. Very short with me, like she was confused on what to do. The product I was purchasing was mislabeled so my items were more than previously understood. When I asked for a price check, she seemed visibly irritated. The coworker did a price check, the product was in the wrong place. Asked to replace with cheaper item, I said no. I'm upset because this service sucks and I can't wait to leave. I purchase all my cosmetics online from Sephora, but Monique who works in skincare is an absolute angel and I never put anything on my face without speaking to her first. I come at least once every 4-6 weeks for a Perk facial, and whoever helps me always take their time, is patient, and gives excellent advice -- and I'm extra happy when I walk in and see Monique working because I think she's incredibly knowledgeable. I went in yesterday to Sephora to pick up some items and was satisfied with my experience! Now, I don't know about other reviewers but I walked in knowing exactly what I was looking for: the Anastasia Palette. I went in to test out a few eyeshadows from the palette. The associates were extremely friendly and several came up to me to offer guidance and baskets. I politely rejected their help many times and when one associate saw I was testing out eyeshadows with my fingers, she kindly walked up and offered me some sponges--very thoughtful! The line was a little bit long but that's as expected. Anytime you go to Sephora there's going to be a line. What can I say? We woman love our makeup! So I went into this Sephora recently, ready to drop a lot of cash. Excited about the new Fenty Beauty collection. My goal was to purchase the primer, a highlight, concealer, and contour stick. As well as the lip gloss and hopefully find my foundation color in this line. So all my girls know my Amex was about to be burning up! I walk in and it's right in front. All the employees are in back leaning against counters talking to each other. Strike one, no one greeted me when we walked in. It's not like they didn't see me as I had a twin stroller and my wife with me. Strike two, no one came after me trying to get their attention and walking around testing things for 10 minutes. Strike three, a Caucasian woman comes in and someone walked over right away, actually walking past me to help her?! Can you say WTF. These people definitely need customer service training. First I'd like to congratulate this location for packing in as many cosmetic lines as you can!!! As a makeup artist in the film industry, and our long hours, I don't have time to run all over town(especially in atlanta traffic) looking for my client's cosmetic requests and my needs as well. This is a nice one stop shop for top of the line brands. I also appreciate that I wasn't being asked every 2 minutes if I'm finding everything okay. Although, I will say, it's not overly friendly in this location as well. I am here to spend some money people!! Would at least be nice to see some smiles. One lady with the short hair was extremely nice though so we won't get too dramatic. I would just like to feel appreciated when I walk in that store and know that if I need your help, you are easily approachable. Lastly, tighten up folks. These are expensive, high end cosmetic lines. Keep it clean and sanitary. I don't feel comfortable testing makeups out when there are broken palettes and messy residue all over the display. Speaking of displays, restock them and the samples. I'm more inclined to try and also buy these products if they are available, front and center. All and all, it's the better Sephora product wise that I've visited in Atlanta. Ugh, my very recent experience (as in, this literally just happened) annoyed me so much I found myself crafting this review in the car on the way back to work. I want to say that my experience actually began very pleasantly. I walked into the store and was greeted by two or three different employees who sweetly asked how I was doing and if I needed help. I picked out my items and cashed out (cashier was extremely sweet too). I went to my car and examined one of my items, which was an eyeshadow palette. To my horror, I noticed that two of the eyeshadows were swatched (meaning someone used their finger to swipe the shadow and sample it). Sephora has samples of pretty much every item they sell, so I am not sure why someone would take a brand-new palette and swatch that, but they did, and lucky me, I bought that palette. So I took the palette and my receipt and returned to the store. I went back to the display and picked up another palette, this time opening it to ensure that no one had swatched it. I VISUALLY examined the palette and saw a small smudge on one of the eyeshadows that could possibly have been swatched, so I carefully placed the palette back in its box and back on the display. Almost immediately, this tall blonde girl (hereby known as TBG) swooped down on me. TBG: "OK, are you going to buy that? You opened it." Me: "Oh, but I didn't touch it." TBG: "Doesn't matter," she said nastily, literally shoving the palette I just examined back into my hand. Me: "Oh, sorry." I took the palette to the register. OK, guess I was going to end up with a palette that was a bit smudged. I felt embarrassed and slightly defeated, but I figured store policy is store policy, I just didn't know it. An older bearded gentleman cashed me out this time. I explained the situation to him and he nodded, proceeding with the exchange. He asked if I had opened the new palette to make sure it looked fine. Me: "Yes, I did. It looked OK... I didn't know that once you open something, you have to buy it!" Nice man: "Oh, nah!!!" he waved dismissively. Me: "Your co-worker just told me off!" I semi-joked. Afterwards, I thanked him for being so nice. I checked the palette again in the car and decided that the small smudge was most likely a manufacturing defect and not enough to get riled up about it, so I left. Tall blonde girl, not sure what your problem was, but you should be nicer to customers. Just beware of her next time you're at the store -- don't open anything in front of her, lest you be forced to buy it! She was roaming around the makeup station and I think she was wearing a brush belt, so I'm guessing she is one of the staff makeup artists. Just be on the lookout! read more

I have never wanted to cry because of something a retail worker said to me. I came in to the store to browse and find the correct foundation shade since I have gotten a tan since it's summer. ANYWAY I found what I wanted and planned to order online with the other items I've been wanting that I couldn't find in the store. I remembered I was out of a moisturiser sample I received and was interested in purchasing the full sized version. But I was conflicted between drunk elephant or tried and true tatcha. I had just finished applying the moisturiser to my face that I had received a sample of (drunk elephant) the one that's very moisturising. Cause with being out in the sun I like a deep moisture to use after using my murad cleanser. I haven't had breakouts since puberty in middle school, and I have never had "acne" I've never had more than 2-3 blemishes at a time. I do have larger pores along my nose, but that's besides the point. SO after applying the drunk elephant moisturiser I smiled in the mirror, I turned around to notice the woman running the skincare section and a young guy employee giving me condescending glares while looking me up and down. So I smiled because I have never had a bad Sephora experience. I went over to ask them which of the two I was interested in was better or their favorite. The guy snickers and looks over to her, RUDE, and then she blinked slowly and rolled her eyes then told me "your skin is so acne prone you need to use something with no oil" it's not what she said it's how she said it. (I sound like my mother) and secondly I had ONE BREAKOUT ON MY JAW AND A SCAB ON MY CHIN FROM WHERE MY DOG SCRATCHED ME LIKE ARENT YOU A SKINCARE "specialist" CANT YOU RECOGNISE THE DIFFERENCE!? Also I haven't had the best eating habits recently so my skin appeared a bit oilier than it normally is ALSO I had just applied that moisturiser. She continues to repeatedly tell me how oily my skin is and how broken out I am instead of helping me find products. And how acne prone she can ~tell~ my skin is. So I ask for other recommendations and she reluctantly shows me a few and then when I say thank you, she mockingly matches my town and says "yoooure welcome". They really need to work on their customer service skills and not try to say things to insult people. You can give constructive advice without pointing out someone's flaws with the little guy behind her snickering about it. I will go to the one at Lennox from now on where both of the products I was interested in were introduced to me by someone working in the skincare department. Or I will order online. read more

I'm really impressed with this store. I stopped in about 3pm today (Tuesday) and there were quite a few employees working. I thought they must be preparing for some after work rush, because there were not very many shoppers yet. Melanie stopped by and asked me to let her know if I needed help finding anything. Actually, yes. "I have this crappy concealer from some grocery store aisle, and despite it being "Light Pale" in color, it is too dark for me." I have decided that being 30, I should spend a little more time and money taking care of myself. So, I was okay splurging for some makeup, even though I don't wear it daily. (Which actually might be why I was okay with splurging... it tends to last long for me.) I told Melanie I wasn't looking for all-over concealer, just for spots and under eyes. She brought me straight to a particular product and dabbed a little on my hand to show me how soft it is.. Not greasy. Then she put some under my eyes, and asked me to pat it in lightly with my finger; not bad. I think I'll go with that. She then suggested an eye cream to help my dark circles. She basically told me, "You're young, but you need to take care of that skin." She probably sensed my hesitation, as I hadn't already mentally cleared that purchase with myself. She quickly offered, "I'll make you a sample to try." Wow, I like that idea! I continued browsing and picked up a few other little things.. and Melanie found me a few minutes later. She explained how/where to put the cream on my eye bones (technical term?) and also gave me the product name written down, next to hear name. So cool. I'm down with this process. She was never pushy at all. Throughout my shopping, I was greeted a few other times by other employees, but never felt bothered or annoyed. Some stores for women have many employees on the floor handing out baskets, and - it feels like - either dryly offering assistance or completely ignoring you.. ya know.. the pink panty place (which I'm overall not against..) and for either reason I find myself dodging these ladies just to avoid the awkwardness.... but it was definitely a bit refreshing and relaxing to shop in Sephora. When I went to check out, the cashier humored me when she asked if I have one of those frequent shopper cards... she tried 2 phone numbers, 2 email addresses and 2 names to see if I already had a card registered - and some I tried were mom's - and then finally asked if I just wanted my own card. Yea! Immediately, I had 60-or-so points for my purchase that day, and she popped like 2 extra free samples into my bag. I felt like I was definitely getting a good value here, and even if not, they made me FEEL like it, which goes a long way. A couple side notes.. I love the slightly-bigger-than-sample sized goodies you can purchase - some near the front door and some on the way to the register. There are tons of beauty products and perfumes, as well, and just so you know, they actually have an entrance at the "back" of the store out to the parking lot.. so if you want to just run in, you don't have to go through the mall or any department stores. Just go from parking lot through Sephora's door. It's my first time in this location, so I'll give it another try sometime to judge consistency and whether I'm going for an "As Good As It Gets"-5 stars.. but I'm definitely a fan, at a solid 4 stars, and I will be back! read more

These folks have got to be one of the most controlling retailers in the nation. Apparently, they didn't like my previous review. They know who I am by face. And it looks like they've decided that I'm Enemy #1. So now when I walk into their stores here in the Atlanta area, the sales staff talk into their walkie talkie system about me. Once, I literally had 3 sales people at the cash registers turn and look right at me when I stepped into the checkout line. Someone is assigned to stay near me whenever I go into their stores. And often when I get to the front of the checkout line, an assigned person bumps an existing cashier off her spot and rings me out directly. Frankly I've been waiting to see how far they will take this. I hope they don't get someone from the mafia to follow me out to my car and break my knee caps! LOL. Maybe I'll start taping my audio experiences when I visit their stores. I might need this in the future. They can be careless with their customers given that they're dealing with an Ivy League educated woman in my case. I would rather buy from the website than from here. I stopped by on my Birthday to pick up the free B-day gift and an eyeliner. The associate who approached me was new, as I overheard her telling another customer that. Her name was something that rhymed with Neka. She asked me what kind of makeup I would be wearing for my bday, I said I wanted to try a smoky eye. She led me to a chair and told me she would show me a smoky eye. Halfway through the process, she informed me I had to spend at least 50 bucks because she was doing my makeup!! I told her that i was not prepared to do that, in which case she got angry and told me I had to at least buy an eyeshadow. I agreed. She continued to do my makeup ( jabbing at my waterline and barking for me to look down, and sighing when my eyes blinked from her constant stabbing), she also had her crotch pushing up into my knee which was not cool. Her demeanor seemed very arrogant and her smile was fake. i was very uncomfortable. After her third attempt to line my upper waterline with a flat liner brush, after I told her it bothered me, I stopped her. I ended up purchasing a small palette that was reasonable for me. Not because I was forced to. I will never again listen to any of the associates who just want to sell you the most expensive products regardless of your skin type/needs and budget. P.S. Me and my boyfriend initially went to Sephora to find some toner and decided to look at the perfumes and colognes. I'm just getting into perfume so I wasn't sure where to start but this amazing employee , Melissa, guided me into the right direction. She was very attentive and patient with me. I loved how knowledgeable she was about the fragrances and she also gave GREAT recommendations. She also selected some great colognes for my boyfriend.
