Clerks were very nice and helpful. Even held an item for me as I traveled to the store.

Amy was SUPER helpful and knew her job and did it well! She was attentive and knowledgeable.

Anita was at the register with a long line. She still answered many questions that people were asking her from beyond the line. I was taking a long time at checkout and changing some of the items I chose. She helped others while I did this. I was amazed at her grace in dealing with everyone. Then when people had left I asked her questions. She gave me solid answers about purpose of different products. I felt a tremendous confidence in her clarity. read more

I did not expect to have problems when I walked into the store to pick up my order. The problem wasn't a store it was a very rude manager who basically destroyed the good mood I was in with her totally unexpected rudeness. She implied that I had a problem, when I simply wanted to pick up my order, because their system didn't work. Giving it 2 stars because it is not the store I am complaining about, it's an employee. I walk in and ask an associate who is sitting on the floor by a shelf if she can point out where I would find a product. I show her a photo of the product (from Sally's website). She says, "We don' have that" and turns her back to me. I tried to tell her the photo is from Sally's website but she was done "helping" me. I was going to leave but decided to take a look around just in case... Guess what, I found the product. I go to the register and she is ignoring me (she is sitting across from the register when I called out if someone could ring me up. I finally say it again and she comes over. I point out that they did indeed have the product and she ignored it. Seriously, there was no other customer in the store. Another employee was stocking shelves towards the back and clearly I did not expect her to stop what she was doing to come work the register. I won't go back to this Sally's because I don't appreciate being treated like I'm bothering someone when I ask them to do their job... read more

I came into this store to get a new hair straightener and had a lovely shopping experience. As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted by a gentleman who was stocking products by the door. I walked passed some aisles and found an array of different hair straighteners. Feeling confused I asked the gentleman for his opinion on which one I should buy. He seemed pleased to help me and went down the line of straighteners explaining them one by one. He then highly recommended that I go with the chi generic brand, GVP. He told me he sells about 40 of those a week and that it happened to be on sale for about $45 this week. I thanked him and looked up the product online to read the online reviews (yes, you could tell im a Yelper lol). It was 4.5 out 5 stars all over the web, so I decided to go with it. When checking out he told me some additional things about the product and said if I had any problems with it that I could return it with the receipt within 60. I ended up really liking the straightener and recommend this place to others for your beauty needs. :) read more

Sally's iBeauty Supply s located just South on University after the 595 intersection. It is in the plaza behind Chik fil A with Old Navy, Home Depot, Ross and more! Besides being in a great shopping center, this Sally's always seems to have the friendliest and most professional of salons. Recently one of the reps suggested I consider trying their own and only Argan oil line as it is one of their most popular and is buy 2 get 1 free. Well it did not disappoint. IT is a wonderful line. I am very happy! Not oily smells good and gets rid of frizz. All of the staff are professional beauticians so they have insider knowledge. Dont forget to join their membership for $5 you will usually save that amount right away or within the next visit. This location is always clean and sales rotate each month. This Beauty Supply location would not be one I recommend for fake hair, but for every other item, it is spot on. read more

I'm not really an authority on beauty supplies, so this will be short. I hope. My mom came to visit in May and when she left, she took my comb with her. Not a big deal, but I was left using this crummy little black one and it wasn't doing the job. So being a man, I just ignored it for 5 months until finally I broke down and decide to buy a comb. With any important purchase, the first thing to do is consult the experts. My girlfriend has really pretty long brown hair. And she is Greek so it is pretty thick and curly. The comb she has is kind of this handle-less brush thing, that is seriously amazing. But apparently these are like $10 which is well out of my price range. I was looking to spend around $2.50 and I was assured that Sally Beauty Supply would have what I needed. So I drove over there and walked into the store. Upon entering, I was a bit overwhelmed, but I had brought the old lady along for just this reason. She showed me to the hair management devices and among them I was able to find a really really REALLY nice brownish-yellow plastic comb.The teeth of the comb were sharp enough to be effective while still rounded on the ends for comfort. It was nice and thick with that smooth sturdiness that was pleasantly reminiscent of a 180-gram vinyl record. This comb was built to last. As I purchased the comb, I looked at the cashier dead in the eyes and said, "I think this may be the last comb I ever buy," and someday when I am old and gray and don't mind using cliches I'll tell my grandchildren, "they don't make em like this anymore," as I comb whatever hair I have left. This is my comb. There are many like it, but this one is mine. I must master it as I must master my hair. My comb, without me, is useless. Without my comb I am useless. I must comb my hair true. I must comb straighter that my enemy who is trying to dishevel me... The comb was $2.50. read more

Sally's as a chain has never disappointed me. This place is designed first and foremost for beauty professionals (hairstylists, nail techs, etc) but it is open to the general public. That's why a lot of the "brands" they carry are not national brands. They're salon products the normal consumer may not have heard of. If you come here often enough, spending the $5 for the beauty membership is worth the savings you'll reap for the entire year. I believe they have a membership for professionals as well that gets you more savings but is slightly more expensive and you also have to bring a cosmetologist license (or similar). I like coming here to get gel nail polishes since I do mine at home. Before they got really popular and readily available, this was my go-to. I also come here to buy falsies in bulk for cheap as well as products I can't find elsewhere (purple shampoo!) This is a little store but the staff is friendly and even though the selection is small they always have what I need. read more

It's Sunny at Sally's ! This weekend I had the extreme pleasure of meeting a true professional at Sally's Beauty Supply in Davie. I went in with my wife to find a way to repair a disasterous "professional" hair dye job she had gotten the day before. There we met a young woman named Sunny who was perfection in both customer service and product knowledge. One look and she immediately knew exactly what went wrong , and exactly what do do about it. We recieved an education beyond all expectation with a level of detail and confidence that is seldom seen these days. Sunny, Thank you so very much! Sally Beauty Supply is a great place to find beauty items at a discount. Their membership card is a valuable way to save even more. Although it costs $5 for an annual membership it is worth the expense. After you register, you get a $5 voucher to spend on your next purchase. So you technically get the membership for free. Many of the items in the store are priced a $1 or so lower for members. They have many brands that I recognize and don't recognize. I would recommend you do some research before you purchase an item. I haven't been disappointed with a purchase because I did some research before I bought it. They have notable nail polish brands that are available at bigger beauty supply stores such as China Glaze and Orly for a lower price. This store is relatively small but it's organized. The employees are helpful if you need assistance with a product or where to find things in the store. Verdict: I like going to this place for various beauty items. They have the better value for nail polish than other beauty supply stores. They don't have the bigger brands but they have similar items. It's not a high-end place but you do have the opportunity to save money. read more
