We wasted time and money going to other places and did not end up with the color we needed. The store has: Nail care (nail revitalizers, cuticle oils, polish, nail files) Skin care (exfoliation, callus removers, foot files) Hair supplies (dye, toner, brushes, shampoo, conditioner, hair oil for curls, headbands) Makeup supplies (fake lashes, eyelash glue) The sales associates seemed ok and could have been friendlier. This beauty supply store is a very convenient location for me when I need a specific item normally hair dye , or bleach related. You can easily find the item , be in and out in no time . They have a large selection of hair products , shampoos, conditioners from many brands as well as nail products , lashes and limited amounts of make up items. I also bought my flat iron here that my hair stylist recommend. While their products are normally higher than Walmart or the ethnic beauty supply stores their employees are definitely more helpful, and you can get items on special if you watch their sales. read more

I went to this location for help with a major color fix. A nice associate, Lulu, helped me. She went above & beyond to help me find good color matches for the look I was going for. Helped me find a good clarifying shampoo, color stripper, talked me through their developer options, & helped me with a refund for my unused/ incorrect items. She also took the time to help teach me how to safely go about correcting my problem colors. And when we weren't able to find enough of the exact colors I wanted, she called around to help me find them at a location that would be easily accessible to me. I don't normally do well with these sorts of things but she made the entire process painless & worry free. I was also given a recommendation for a hair mask by a coworker of hers who was also quite nice. I didn't catch her name but they both made my experience so nice. read more

Most helpful Sally's I have been to, I would say. I have been to many Sally's and this one has the best customer service. Very organized and usually has what I need without being out of stock like other Sally's. There's a nice clearance corner I always go check out. Sometimes there are great deals on polish colors, with brand alike O.P.I and China Glaze. I love when there are deals like buy two or buy three and get one free, so that I may stock up for the future when needed. read more

So I drove to this location and I don't even bother calling bc by the time I get there it'll be nearly 10a anyways. So as I walk in, the doors aren't even locked, since the other 2 location lock their doors. And instantly, and I am greeted by the associate at the registers and she was so kind and approachable, however she was speaking to someone on the store phone so I understand why she couldn't ask me if I need some assistance right away. As she gets off the phone, I was so irritated from the previous locations, that I just had to tell her my experience. She told me that they do have senior hours, however, if no one is in the store, she'll allow anyone at any age to come in and shop. Then she asks me if I needed any help looking for anything, and I was looking into hair dyes, what I love about her is that she was very attentive and informative about the products I was debating on buying, answering any questions I had, etc. Now, I can tell she really cares about her customers! I am done with the other 2 locations and this Bruceville location will now be my go-to Sally's, it is a slight drive from my home but it is sooo worth the drive since the associates respect their customers. 3RD TIME IS A CHARM I believe she is the manager here, her name started with an 'L' I think it was Lordes? I am surprised this place has poor ratings. I was able to find what I needed here while Ulta, Walmart and Target failed me (looked for a hair extension carrying case)! The staff were pleasant and very helpful. They greeted me when I walked in and led me right to the item I needed. I did see lots of hair extensions and hair needs in this little store. Prices were reasonable too. Apparently there is a Sally's Beauty membership because the cashier asked me if I had one. The only downfall I can give this place is she didn't ask if I wanted to join when I made my purchase. Oh well, I guess she's looking out for my bank account! read more

This place has very limited items and they are usually out of a lot of things whenever I go there. Although I'm usually greeted promptly after entering, they don't even LOOK at me while doing it so they may as well not have said anything at all. One of the guy working there is always singing loudly and doing his own thing at the store. So I was very surprised when I saw him lecturing another employee one night about "getting carried away at work" because she was engaging in a conversation that ran a bit long with one of the customer there. It made me feel quite uncomfortable with him standing there telling her off while I was shopping in their fairly small store where I could clearly hear the whole convo. Manager or sales floor rep said hello to me. I asked her if they had harmony gelish polish, she then proceeded to show me the stock colors. I told her that they were the wrong size. She then angrily told me they were the only size she knows of that they come in.... Ok talking to me like I'm the retard? The bottle says mini on it. Caught lying or incompetent. I told her these were not what I wanted and walked away. So I goto the front desk to pay for my items and I ask the clerk about the gelish. The incompetent lady then comes up and tells her side of the story like I'm complaining and incompetent of what I want. So plus 5 for the guy with short hair, the red haired rock girl who answered my call to get me to come in and buy stuff. And negatives on the overweight Black lady with fake hair and caked face of makeup. Oh yeh I wanted a case of dienfectant but they did not have enough, so they credited me like I bought a case and would call me when the rest came in. Plus again to the red haired rock girl and guy. Next time I come in Imma evil eye the shady floorsalesperson. Plus on membership cards. Plastic not paper ;-; fancy *update* My box of disinfectants should be numbered at 12 total. Went to the store late Friday night (close to 8PM) and bought an hair extension for my daughter. After carefully examining the content (still in its original plastic packaging), my daughter noticed that it didn't come with a clip, and she decided that she can not use it. Since it was really late, instead of going back, we decided to come back the next day to return it. So I went back the next day to return the hair, and the rude employee slapped me with the statement that "it is against the law to take hair back, and it is also written on the back of our receipt." I did a little bit of investigation, and Federal law says "you cannot return human hair products that have been used." The product I was trying to return did not change in its physical condition other that it spent over night outside of the store. The hair extension was unused, unopened, and remained in its original packaging. The employee even can see that it was sealed in its original plastic packaging. Also, these people are rude. I have a rain check on some items they were supposed to get into the store during a B2G1 sale. That was back in June & they still haven't called me? It's freaking December! Ridiculous. She was so patient and kind to assist me with finding the items on my list. She even shared useful information about dyeing my hair. I will definitely be returning to the Bruceville location. The store is clean and well stocked every time I go in. The people that work there are always able to help me locate something I need within a blink of an eye as well. I have however realized over time that the people that work here seem no more educated about beauty products than the next person. They will occasionally suggest a incorrect product and will get visibly annoyed when you try to disagree. The employees will even be down right catty to customers and will roll their eyes and say things like, "Well I do "x" this way, so I think I would know. You can come back when it doesn't work out for you." They may not care if I like their advise, but their attitude makes me not want to go back and instead order from an online retailer. read more

I have only visited this location a couple of times and can say it probably will never be my go to place for supplies. Customer service has started out okay at first and then seems to go down hill from there during each visit. First time I visited they actually greeted me as I entered the store and when I declined assistance, they hovered like I was some sort of degenerate. Second time they did not even bother with the greeting, just looked up and went back to doing what they were doing when I entered, followed by hovering as I delved and looked for the items I was looking for. Mind you both times I have gone here after work and in my uniform (I work in the medical field). I do not carry big bags when shopping and both times I went in here, I had nothing but my cell phone, keys, and a small metal wallet with the essentials in it. I am appalled by the service I received in this store this evening. The two girls were less than friendly. I came in to get shampoo and conditioner about 10 minutes before they closed, and they made me feel very unwelcome. I have issues with my Beauty Club Card because someone with a different name has my phone number listed as theirs, and every time I get asked if I have the card, they ask me to renew because it is expired. I have already renewed! I asked the girl how to change that and she said they have to stop paying...but their card is expired? I'm confused. I mentioned I could use a different number and she didn't even offer to change it to make my shopping experiences less annoying. As I left she said goodbye and the other girl was cleaning the front doors...didn't even say a word to me as I left. I am in customer service and I would never treat a customer this way. read more

I really love this place. I come here for my hair color all the time, which is super cheap and works great. All the girls (and one guy that I know of) are super friendly and polite, and also seem to take a lot of pride in what the do/study. To me, I feel like their shelves are always stocked and have a very wide variety of products. I can always count on any of the employee's with any question I have about anything. I only give the -1 star because of one girl (who I am not sure if she still works there or not) was extremely rude and acted like she basically hated her job. If i come into a beauty store, and I expect to be helped by aspiring cosmetologists, I'm going to assume you're pretty s****y at what you do if you act bothered or annoyed by helping me. read more

The ladies there are incredibly knowledgeable, super out of this world friendly, and they make you feel warm and welcome right from the get go. They have superior sense when it comes to a deep understanding of what your needs are. For me? I just want to keep my grays away... And I want to look like I'm in my 40s again... And not in my 50s... And these ladies make sure that I look fantastic always. A total and complete shout out to Isabel, Cynthia and Lourdes. Without these ladies I would look like a fake hot mess. I won't go in there without knowing at least one of these ladies is present. They know what they are talking about! From color- to proper hair products- to beard products...these Fantastic 3 are your go to gals. No.. they did not pay me to do this... Don't waste your time coming here unless u know exactly what you are getting. Granted they know a hell of a lot more then the sallys on Elk Grove florin rd but I have still had to help them help customers with color questions or even shampoo questions. Being a licensed hairstylist should be a requirement when working with the public on something that precious to people. No only that but i have gone in there looking for a specific product and they have not helped me to find it but assumed I knew where it was. I went in on a Sunday afternoon, not busy mind you and the associate working on the floor really couldn't be bothered to assist anyone while she blocked the aisle with a giant box and dumping old product into it. Not only was it very loud but you couldn't even get down the aisle. Coincidentally she was blocking the exact section I needed to get to and with a heavy sigh asked me if I needed her to move. Really? I did however ask her if she could help me and again with the heavy sigh and disgusting gum chewing while she talked, she obliged. Clearly annoyed that she had to help someone. By the way, spit out the gum while on the sales floor. Once I was ready to pay, the cashier says "give me a minute" and walked to the back room. Gum chewer was also gone therefore leaving the store unattended for about 3 minutes. Another customer showed up and we both just stood there. The other customer went to the back to tell them we were ready and one gal responded with "give me a minute". Again, really? My only conclusion is that this location takes zero pride in the staff they hire or the service they offer. It's unfortunate that this type of service and sour attitude is likely to continue. read more

Unfortunately I had a very terrible customer service experience. I came in today (08/02/2018) with my family to purchase a toner for my hair as it is very brassy from bleaching. All was well, I got what I needed and left feeling satisfied. That is until my mother told me as we were driving away that the employee at the first register to the right (when entering) looked at me with disgust and gestured to the other employee on the opposite register. I am not sure what part of my looks they chose to ridicule, perhaps my hair that I came in to fix, but either way this behaviour is completely immature, rude, and unacceptable. I do not care what they think or say after work hours but to make fun of me while I am in the store as a polite customer I am appalled and saddened. This is not how workers should treat employees and it has left a bad taste in my mouth. Had I known they were ridiculing me as I was shopping I would have taken my business elsewhere. The product selection at Sally's is fine and it is a decent place to get beauty supplies; however, due to this incident I will never step foot in a Sally's Beauty salon again. read more

The day shift with the manager present has much better service. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the evening one with the two young girls (one tall with colorful hair and another at about 5'2", Hispanic looking). I have gone in there twice for an exchange and they made it extremely difficult to get an even exchange without giving some illogical, nonsense reason. For example, I purchased a few items using my Sally's reward of $45, but my total came out to about $57, so I paid the difference with my credit card, and when I brought back a couple of items to exchange out for something else (with the receipt), the little one says that in order to exchange that item for an even amount, I needed the original receipt that shows the price of the item. WHAT????? That WAS the receipt! In addition, she says that if I wanted a refund, I would get back only the amount I paid on my credit card. I was appalled by the illogical explanation and just gave up trying to reason sense into her. The tall girl wasn't much help either. She said that I would only be able to exchange it out with the lowest price of the items I want to exchange. The same nonsense reasoning occurred with these same girls the previous time I was there, too. What ever happened to, "Love it or return it" policy as advertised? Evidently, these girls didn't get the proper training or don't like what they do. It's a shame, because customer service via phone is wonderful and representatives at the stores aren't living up to the standards. read more
