Maybe they should have more than one employee here. I understand it's a small store. But, there's only 1 Sally's in Ceres. So for me to drive across town and wait outside WAY more than 10 minutes it's absurd. I started waiting at 11:25am and they didn't show up. By Noon they still never showed up.. I'm writing this as I'm currently still waiting so who know when they will ever open up!! I wasted my time waiting. I wonder if the store ever even opened today?? I called the location in Turlock since they are under the same ownership and brought it to their attention. There were many other people who attempted to wait.. came & left upset and frustrated. If employees cannot be at the store than maybe management should be called to be at the store since they don't have more than one person working. I'm just a customer trying to spend money at this store. But apparently that's too much to ask for. read more

Came at 7:29 on Saturday February 4th 2023 and the door was locked, lights on, no one to be seen. This location doesn't close until 8:00pm and there's usually 2 people working. So I called the store and waited for 20 minutes and so did two other vehicles. No one ever showed up. Terrible service and actually highly annoying. read more

I came here two days in a row to buy dye and bleach to make my sisters hair all dark blue! And the nearest beauty store was this Sally's beauty supply store. I've been here before and I usually don't like comin here because the staff is the crappiest staff ever. And I haven't came to this location in a while so I thought hmmm maybe they changed there people and manager so the staff will be better. HELL TO THE NO was I sooooo wrong. It's just like deja vu! The people don't even greet you. They're too busy gossiping with each other and care less about us, the customers. I don't know if this location does not have a good leadership of a manager or what! She said "the ones all the way on the bottom" I wish I could explain or pain the picture a little better out for you to understand. Excellent service and very friendly staff! Arielle the best employee! I always see her when I stop by to pick up bleach and hair dye. She always remembers me which is really nice and recommends excellent products to maintain my color and keep my hair soft. I always forget what type of bleach I need every time I come in and she always shows me what will work best for my color and hair type. She even compliments my hair every time I come in which makes me happy. It's worth it to drive from Hayward to Ceres and stop there to pick up what I need. It was like $100, my mom got it on sale for $60 (: its compared a Chi. I bought some eyelasheshere today. They hava lot to choose on. Brands I didnt even knoe of. But for $5? My Sally's lol THE OWNER/MANAGER: I've come to this location for the last 4 years since I moved to Ceres. I can see many people are posting about the owner (older hispanic lady) and I've had my experiences too. She's rough around the edges because she's a military brat lol The first time I interacted with her she was "tough" I left my ID in the car which I needed to pay with a card. I told her I left my ID in my car, she told me in a firm voice that I shouldn't do that again, and that there's car robberies around the area. She sounded like she was bossing me around, but she was just looking out for me. Anyway, I continued going to this location, I took all and any advice the manager gave me and I had great results every time from turning black hair to red, and back to black then to blonde, she helped me. I don't know her personally but we talked every time I went, that's how I know she's a military brat, and she has to grow on you. Her personality is strong and straight forward no BS. Maybe that's why a few think she's rude and unpleasant. She's just a knuckle head but don't let that stop you from approaching her because she is extremely knowledgeable!! Just ask and take her advice!! THE STORE & OTHER EMPLOYEES: The store is always clean but not always stocked but you can ask for whatever you need in the back. The other girls there are super sweet! I've gotten help from all of them. Maybe a few in the past were stuck up but they no longer work there. Overall IT'S SALLY'S! Everything is the same this one just has a tough manager lol read more

I'm giving the store a 3*, because there is nothing particularly wrong with the store itself. Although I wish I could say the same for one particular employee there. She is an OLDER Hispanic lady who thinks she owns that particular store. She undermines her fellow employees by telling the customers not to listen to her coworkers because they don't have enough 'experience' as she does. Then as you are shopping if you are on one isle and you are talking to another employee about a product that is not available on the shelf, she will cut in from the other side of the isle saying "Oh I don't have any on hand at the moment, I'm waiting for the shipment"...she uses the word 'I' as if she owns the Sally's. She gives out the worst advice and it's ALWAYS an incorrect way or procedure, do yourself a favor and go to the younger girls THEY know what they are doing! I have 3 different friends who have followed her advice and it screwed up their hair causing them to pay an additional amount of money to go to a salon and actually have their hair fixed because they followed what she said. She should never be allowed to give advice and should be only allowed to sweep and mop Sally's floor and stand with a squeegee with windex at the front door cleaning the windows. When you visit this store, bring in a putty knife and offer it to her so she can scrape up the gum in front of the store. Sorry Sally's Corporate office: this employee has poor work ethics, I encourage retraining, retraining, retraining! This employee doesn't know what work ethics means, have her fellow co-workers write honest reviews of her work and she might learn something about herself. I tip my hat off to the District manager because they have to unfortunately deal with this nincompoop (imbecile). read more

This Sally's is HORRIBLE. The staff is rude!. And the only thing the girls were great at was gossiping. I'm so sorry I had a question, she was so upset I needed her to do her job! Isn't there a lunch break for that? And how unprofessional to have a conversation about your night in the front of the store. And for some reason everyone has their own policys. The manager is no help. She should make sure everyone is on the same pahe. I will take my business else where. The Sally's on Oakdale Road is way better. The red headed lady just follows you around and gives her 2 cents in everything you look at literally, I went in to purchase hair color and I go on very often no problems with the other employees but this lady decided to criticize my choice in products and volume i was going to use for my hair color and let me remind you that I have been dying my own hair with no problem for many years but I do not like how I can't feel comfortable purchasing products that I've came to love anymore. On February 26,2017, I sadly left my phone at the cash register counter situated right in view of the camera. I made it to the light right by IHOP when I realized that I had left it behind. I turned around and asked the lady who had helped me if she picked up my phone. She told me that right after she helped me, she then proceeded to work at the back of the store and then a white guy with tattoos did enter the store and then ran out so perhaps he took it. She did offer to lend me her phone to call mine. I later went back to verify if the cameras worked and was told to call in the next day to talk to a manager. So I did then I was told that the manager was on vacation. All I want is for someone who runs this place to look at the video to verify if what I was told is correct. I was also mentioned that they have questionable people walking by all the time as a conformation that a shady person notice a phone on the counter among other things displayed on the counter.
