I bought the following: Satin Bonnet ($4.39 but I was charged $5.49) and an Edge Control Comb ($2.29). The satin bonnet has been working well for me since I bought it and it stays on my head as I sleep and doesn't fall off. I use the bonnet when I go to bed at night. I don't use the edge control comb often at all because I only bought it to add my total store price to $5 (the store's credit card machine is $5 or more). While I only did a quick browse, this hair store offers a lot of braiding hair and hair products. Service was good except for the random mixup with my final bill. I needed a couple items and remembered they were open due to a social media post I saw a long time ago. I was greeted immediately and they were playing some 90s and 2000s RnB. I was presently surprised by how big and clean the store was. It was a little overwhelming at first as there are so many aisles. I decided to wander around and see what I could see. This location has a salon in the back. There was so many items to choose from and I noticed prices were clearly marked. The young man who checked me out was very kind and congenial. He asked if I was part of their loyalty program and I told him it was my first time. He gave a big smile and said welcome in. Did you find everything you needed and also how did you hear about us? The website said there was a refill left on both of them. At the store, the people tell my husband there are no more refills. He leaves because it's not his battle. I call to find out what happens and a gentleman gets on the phone after I spoke with someone else. He tells me I called in the wrong RX# and that my refills are under another number. WHAT? I am reading from last months bottles. Really? He didnt even apologize that his people had made an error. I push for an answer and he just says over and over that they will get them ready for me. I don't know how to describe this place, except to say that this is what general shopping was like in the 1970s-1990s. They literally sell just about anything, from a limited selection of produce to engine oil to toys to clothing to lawn care items. You can even rent DVDs here. And of course they have a pharmacy. Prices are usually slightly higher than other places, but they commonly have specials and sales. They are always open- if you need batteries on Christmas morning, Drug Mart is your place. (Although if I ever go on a holiday I always give the cashier a $20 bill because I feel guilty they are working.)
