Unprofessional, Misleading, and Dishonest…read more As a first-time bride(like most bride's), I relied on Kristin's professionalism to guide me through the process -- but instead, I was misled and overcharged. She told me she could "make it work" if I brought in my own hair stylist, and even accepted an introduction to that person. At no point did she make it clear that her pricing wouldn't change -- even if she wasn't providing hair services. By the time she revealed that I'd still be charged full price, it was too late to adjust. If you're a wedding vendor working with someone new to this (like most brides), you have a responsibility to be transparent and fill in the gaps -- not take advantage of them. I ended up feeling cornered and exploited. I would strongly caution anyone against working with Kristin unless you're prepared to overpay for services you don't receive.

I credit every staff member for the positive experience. Staff floated around with ease, politely checking in on people and socializing with people. They had a lot of specials that day, discounts, combo purchase deals etc. It's a little crammed in there when there are a lot of people, so I wouldn't recommend bringing the entire family in the store, just those buying and helping with recommendations. She went WAY too short. She didn't take spring up into consideration. This was her comment. On the other occasion the cut was poor. The stylist was seemingly unfamiliar with thick hair and the layering was lacking. I left looking like a puffy triangle and needed to go for a repair cut at a salon in Brunswick. The repair cut was $45 where as the Shear Artistry cut was $70. before the tip. Yes. I tipped. The stylist was a sweet person but lacking in skill, at least with my hair.
