The blind leading the blind... Let me just say we have been regular customers at this location for over a Decade and have always had neutral/positive experiences. We are always impressed with the affordable high quality Sally Beauty Products. This location used to be filled with friendly, knowledgeable quality employees that knew their products inside and out. They would always listen to the customers needs and would make excellent product recommendations. The managers also used to be friendly and would honor price matches/current sales from the official online Sally Beauty website. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. Example 1: This new group does not know their products and they are not interested in helping you. I would recommend a different location or shop ONLINE to ensure you get the correct price (instead of getting Overcharged like I did). Example 2: The current employees cannot identify a soft boar bristle brush from a spiky rounded plastic thermal brush (they can neither understand the difference in pricing...) After a thoughtful explanation with visual cues (photos from the Sally Beauty website) the employee just gave me a blank stare. Example 3: If that's not enough of a turn off the useless short haired manager will stand exactly 3 feet away ease dropping AND will follow you throughout the entire TINY store. Good luck. read more

I let someone in beauty school practice on my hair, it's just hair so i wasn't too worried, but when it came out a dingy yellow color instead of blonde I v-lined for a fix.. Who wants a yellow tinge when they trying to be blonde? Eww....The service here was excellent she got me the right toner and purple shampoo and it is back to normal! When I entered Sally's, I didn't know I would be met with limited hellos; I think they were shy. Anyway, as I looked for stuff, one of the girls was hiding behind a shelf, watching me. I didn't know they played hide-and-seek at Sally's! She acted like she was on her phone, but when I couldn't find something, she knew how to help (workers here are full of surprises). She then returned and asked if she could take my stuff to the counter (maybe she thought I would steal it), but I thought, "Why not have a personal shopper today?". As I waited in line, I needed one more item but didn't know where it could be. So since I don't work there, I asked someone who did. That other worker did not like that I asked and gave me a stank face. Maybe she was trying to let out a fart; holding those in can really hurt. The shorter-haired one who played hide-and-seek pointed and gave directions; she must have worked in construction because the detour signs were not helpful. When I was done, I went up to the counter and paid for all my stuff that the short-haired woman thought I would take for free; I think she mixed up the prizes for the game we were playing earlier. I brought my reusable bag, but my items were not put inside after I paid. Then, I realized that Sally Beauty must be the new Winco, so I bagged them myself. Unfortunately, due to Sally not having an item I was looking for, I gave it one star, but I will come back so I can be followed by the short-haired girl around the store while playing hide and seek. I have been coming here over the years for my supplies. The customer service has always been good for me. They are friendly and helpful. Today was one of those times They were out of a product that I needed. The clerk told me that they possibly wouldn't be carrying it anymore? I had noticed that it was out of stock the last several times I went there. She recommended some thing else for me and I'm going to give it a try. Honestly, I used to like this place. I know what I'm doing when it comes to bleaching my hair though. My wife and I do our hair, specifically mine, regularly. I decided I would do something new and go completely white, which IS in fact possible despite what the manager or whatever she is will tell you. My sister in law does hair for a living and I wish I would've just paid her to get the product from the place she shops at. The product I was recommended turned my hair a shade of pink, EVEN THOUGH, I followed exactly how I was told to apply according to the manager. I think her name is rose? I don't know. I'm sure she's nice if you're not talking about hair, but to make someone feel uncomfortable and treat them like they're a complete moron and don't know what they're talking about when it comes to hair is something else. Yes, I'm a guy, but that means absolutely nothing. I've died my hair many different colors for different awareness's (mental health; purple, green, and teal. And breast cancer; pink) each time coming out flawless and without the recommendation I was given. I came back the next day to return the garbage product I was recommended, they wouldn't return or at least give me the product that would fix this screw up. Thanks but no thanks. Y'all should stop treating your customers like they don't know what they're doing because chances are, many of them actually went to school for this and it's clear that whoever recommended this product to me had zero clue what they were doing. I know me not shopping there isn't going to hurt their business, but if I can at least warn you about going, then I've done my due diligence. If I could give 0 stars, I would. But I guess 1 will suffice and that's only because there's one gal there that was actually really nice and not all in your face like she knows everything and you know nothing. If you're going to shop here, research everything like you're doing a paper about your processing. Then you can at least go in and tell them to kindly leave you alone or that they're absolutely wrong when they try to make you feel dumb. Another example of excellent customer service! About a week ago I bought some mascara from Sally Beauty. I only used it a few times and when I went to use it this morning, as I pulled the brush out there was mascara oozing everywhere. It was like thick creamy peanut butter gushing out and I could not make it stop. As you can see by the picture, I even tried to put the product back in the container with my fingers with no luck. I returned the mascara to the store today and was so relieved when they happily and quickly exchanged my mascara for a new tube. read more

Customer service is mediocre at best, they spend more time chatting with each other than they do assisting their customers. Their prices are excellent and just because the products don't say Chia or Paul Mitchell, they are just as good, but not at the high prices! I have been using salon products my entire life, because I have family who are stylist so I just always have and I can tell the difference immediately between shampoo from say Fred Meyer or Safeway (Pantene or Suave) and Salon products. Even more so since Getting sick. So it's not Sally's products, they are excellent and if you are not satisfied they will accept a return of your product. Not many places that sell beauty products will do that, so offering a 100% satisfaction guarantee just shows that they stand behind their products. Well now it's time to sharpen up your image! I had a nice visit looking for gel polish. I do nails at home for myself and really enjoy looking at the different colors in-person. I own about a hundred gel polishes so finding something new and different is really fun. I was greeted when I came in, and asked if I needed any help. They pointed me to the wall of polish, but no one referred me to the correct spots for gel. The laquer and gel is kind of mixed together (sorted by brand, not type), so it can be a bit tricky to find just what one needs. I spent about ten minutes looking at different colors and "trying on" the colors by putting my fingers under the plastic painted nails. I picked out a few ASP colors that I liked and went to the front with a top coat which was BOGO deal with the colors. For some reason, the code wasn't scanning in the system, so after trying a couple times, the gal behind the counter discounted it manually. Thanks for the awesome service! Pros: Well-stocked, clean, organized and has a great vibe. Cons: A bit hard to find gel vs lacquer, and the codes may be hit-and-miss. Possibly asking the customers if they are finding what they are looking for while they are shopping would help. **Overall a 9/10 experience.** read more

Worst customer service. I asked for purple shampoo and the lady working was rude and asked me which one I was looking for because they sold "tons" of purple. I wouldn't have asked if I knew what I was looking for. I took the bottle she recommended and waited to be checked out for over 5 minutes. When I took the bottle to my stylist, she said absolutely not to use what the girl sold me. She sold me toner. read more

Never left here happy with the customer service from any of the employees. I wish there was a different public beauty supply store so I wouldn't have to go to Sally's. Can the manager please train their employees on how to have good customer service? I don't even trust their judgement anymore, usually to bleach my hair I use the Quick White. However I asked an employee what they recommend and she points to some other package and it did not bleach anything! Left my hair brown. Very very unhappy. So I went back and bought the quick white and works like a charm. Plus they did use to give you free gloves? But instead they try selling you five other things instead. read more
