They carried the brand I was looking for and the ladies at the register were welcoming. Though they have expanded their hair care line, they are limited on their hair care products. This Sally's location may be my go-to spot in terms of obtaining hair supplies for trimming & coloring. Located in Watauga in between a Great Clips and Bath & Body Works, this Sally's location has a standard layout of 4-5 aisles that stretch all the way to the back of the store. The layout seems to be somewhat of a confined area, especially when the store policy during Covid-19 has a limitation of customers allowed within the store (no more than 5). I had really good customer service with store manager Tiffany. She didn't upsell me on hair items that I didn't need, nor did she undersell me on products with perceived cheaper quality. She asked the right questions, and related her personal experience with certain products based on its performance. With my situation, it was in purchasing a Wahl edger for $60 that has reliable, yet not extremely sharp in order to use on my five-year old son + myself. I could've easily spent an additional $30 for the higher grade trimmer, yet not the $150 for the brand that had a Ferrari emblem on it. Will certainly return. read more

Was already kind of eerie about going into the store because typically I just pull out some box bleach & dye. Should've just stuck to that lol. Not only did it smell of weed, but the workers treated me like i was the bane of their existence. Was recommended some of the most expensive products there even after i was open about my low budget. Desperate to get my hair lighter... And trusting her recommendations... I went ahead and bought what i was under the impression was right. Obviously, I'm not any cosmetologist... So I had no clue what half of these products were and how they worked. But she didn't care to explain it to me. She was persistent that 'all I need is a bleach bath' even though i'm going from black to ginger... here i am still sitting with no change in my hair and a dye that won't mix. My hair is not their fault, though the customer service and disrespect had nothing to do with me. Worker was rude when I tried to purchase other products knowing that my hair might not lift in one go. She didn't help me when i had asked about hair dye, so when I bought these products, I didn't know that they wouldn't mix. Or even how to mix them. So almost all that money went down the drain. The staff here at the time I came here to grab my daughter some moose for her crazy curly and frizzing hair was awesome in helping me. They assisted me in identifying the right type of moose that was alcohol free and explained to why. I must say the lady was right. My daughter's hair looked beautiful as always but this time around it stayed tamed a bit better than usual. The staff is always annoying asf. Honestly. They aren't trained professionals. They don't have their cosmetology license... why should I listen to you? I've done enough research and have been doing my hair long enough to know what I am doing and what my end goals are. A few days ago I stopped by the store and I asked for semi permanent color. The lady told me it wasn't going to work on my hair. I did not ask for your opinion. My hair has been bleached multiple times and is light blonde. Yes I have an under cut that I am growing out. No I am not dying that portion of my hair. She kept telling me that the color will not adhere to my dark hair... clearly I am aware of this. That's why I am applying it to my BLONDE hair which is already damaged, so why do I want a color that has hydrogen peroxide and will lift my hair. If I ask you for something you show me where it is. Instead she was basically arguing with me and not helping me. Why should I have to explain my entire plan of my hair? And tell you which parts I am and am not dyeing? I shouldn't have to do that. You simply tell me where it is and leave me alone. This is not the first time i've dealt with this at this location. They always look at what you are buying and try to give advice that basically invites you to damage your hair more. You don't know what supplies I have at home. You don't know what my plans are. Mind your business, and sell the product. If you want to give advice then go to hair school. End of story. P.S. Sally's is genuinely overpriced. Check out JC beauty Supply on Western Center. Sally's used to be my 1 stop shop for hair supplies but they've really disappointed me these last few years. Every time I come they almost never have what I want. I came here yesterday looking for large hair clips and a hair brush and they have a very small hair accessory section so I ended up choosing some hair clips I wasn't crazy about and the same for the hair brush. Also the ethnic section seems to get smaller and smaller and things that Wal-Mart carries they don't even have here which is sad. Also the prices here are to high; it's just not worth coming anymore so I will probably never return read more

I have never been so pissed off at a stores employee and/or ever made scene before. Well sally's beauty supply in Watauga 's very own store manager refused to return the trimmers I just bought 12/22/14 that had broke. Her reasoning is that I returned a completely different kind/brand of trimmer (peanut) that I had bought back on 10/12/14 along with a 2yr extended warranty and upgraded to the new ones(andis)with warranty again.Well she said they have to go by the original purchase date for the peanut and that is more than 60 days ago. Even though I bought Andis trimmers on the 22nd they can not go off that date and it has it be the "original" date. I began to try and explain to her how that does not make any since. Because I returned the peanut and bought the Andis so that makes the "original " perchance date 12/22. And she just continued to argue with me about it.She even called another sore to confirm what she told me. They agreed but of course she didn't explain my situation . So I called 3 other stores .All 3 immediately said that she was incorrect and they can exchange them, even told me to come in and they will help me. I took them to one and got a brand new pair no problem. They kept telling me how sorry they where that she turned me away. I always go to the watauga store bc it's less than one min away from my house and it's so much easier to do a quick run instead of going to the professional stores ( I'm a hairdresser ).Due to her actions I will never in my life return to that store and will be calling corporate tomorrow. I talk to hundreds of people a week due to my profession and socia life. I will be advising them to not go to that store. read more
