HORRIBLE bedside manner. Sally did my lips and while I do like the color, they are totally uneven (see photo). The first time I went to her for lips was several years ago. You do get a touch-up with your first treatment and I asked her at that time to go higher on my lip line on my left upper lip. She refused saying that she can't go outside the lip line. Well, she went just outside on the right side , so I don't know why she couldn't just even then out. She spoke to me in a very demeaning way - as though I was lucky to have the privilege of her doing my lips. Fast-forward 3 years I needed a touch-up and yes I did go back to her because I wanted the same color. I don't need to be best friends with whoever is tattooing my lips, so I thought I'd give her another try. The photo I'm attaching is the result. It's worse than the first time as far as being uneven. This time, she went over the lip line on one side on the bottom but REFUSED to even it out on the other side when I went back. Same with the top. My lips are now lop-sided and the way she spoke to me was so horrible. She made it clear she had done nothing wrong and said she can't keep fixing my lips because she has to buy needles, etc. My impression of Sally is that of a woman who no longer enjoys her job and sees herself as above her clients. I've never write a review but felt I needed to with my experience. Was so excited to get my brows done in July 2015 from Sally. Had seen her on tv and thought she must be amazing. So set up an appt and went in. I pull at my brows so they're very patchy. Went in and she tattoos them on, literally was in there not even a half hour. She said the brows shouldn't look like twins which I thought was weird, I thought wouldn't you want them to have a mirrored effect. My right brow had a very high arch and my left was normal. So I went in after they healed and showed her, she supposedly fixed it, but couldn't tell for a week that it still looked the same. $500 for this! But I just dealt with it bc it was better than before I went to her. 3 months later the tattoo started turning peach, everyday more and more. Here it is 6 months into it and they are bright peach! I did research and kept my eyes opened for someone new that does microblading and found someone to fix this mess. She's got a few of Sally's customers with the same problem. I've been told she uses a low grade ink that doesn't work with skin pigment. My appt is in a few weeks and excited to get brows back that look REAL! Not just colored on. So many other brow artists out there who are WAY better! When Sally first did mine in 2015 she only spent about 20 minutes on me. A year later the color turned reddish/pinkish so obviously she chose the wrong color for my skin tone. The shape was unflattering as well. Needless to say I went to somebody else in 2016 (contourbrowsstudio.com) and now I love my brows! She also spent 2-3 hours on me to make sure it was perfect. Been going to her ever since. I just finished my second application for my lips (aka lip blushing). I loved the color after the first application, but was really happy that Sally does two applications (for one price) to make sure you get the best color and best results. I am incredibly picky and this is my first "tattoo" ever, and I think Sally is the best. She is nice and funny and very honest, which is what you want. You don't want to be mislead, you want honesty and that is what Sally gives you. She is incredibly skilled, has decades of experience and her pricing is extremely fair based on the going rates for permanent make up. There is little to no pain, due to a lip block that the nurse administers. Your lips are really swollen (mine were, thank you masks) for a few days and then they looked normal at day 4. The color definitely fades, but I wanted that- they are very stained after the application and i really wanted a natural pinkish lip color at the end. She came recommended. Possibly because she has had a Arizona TV segment. She is self proclaimed about being the best, and that she is connected with out of state plastic surgeons. I thought she presented well and was professional. Although her prices are a lot more expensive compared to what other make-up artists are charging in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. I booked an appointment for liner and brows. Sally said she does not do only the upper liner, she "had" to do lower too. OK, she is the expert right? After healing, my eyes on the lower liner was uneven. I returned for my touch-up and Ms. Hayes wouldn't do the touch-up because it would be too much to use another needle, saying she could not guarantee they would be even and the cost of using a new needle is $50. She wanted me to wait till the yearly touch-up. I complained that my brows were uneven too. Again and she strongly recommended waiting until the annual date of a year for the full touch up on both eyes and brows. I am very disappointed with her work, her follow up appointment and her overall attitude. She got her $900. and was not interested in doing the 2nd treatment and touch up. In addition her work is average at best. She is not an artist, nor does she take the time to look at the finished outcome. Since having Sally do the initial work, I have had to spend an additional $450. elsewhere to get the 2nd touch up for the liner and brows to be evened out. I would strongly not recommend her and pursuade you not to use her. She took my money and did not keep her word or work up to the discussed expectations of service and follow-up. read more

I went to her few years ago and still traumatized by her. She is rude, arrogant, thinking she is above it all. I paid so much money for my eyebrows and yet she couldn't even numb me correctly. First she was like I'm moving too much. Well because I'm in a lot of pain. After the first time, the ink came off completely and I went back for the second treatment. She told me she will not use any numbing medication because the ink will fall rights off. She was doing it raw and I was in sooo much pain and she got frustrated then she said forget it. I went there for a treatment during one of her student training sessions. I had to return as it did NOT take to my skin, so there was no charge for the follow-up. It still did not work, so I scheduled yet another appointment during one of the student classes. Well, for SOME reason, the class was cancelled and I came in to have SH, the owner, treat me. I believe she did the original and follow-up treatments but had students get their hands in it. She must've been pissed that I was there for a 2nd follow-up, which of course, should be free of charge since I didn't get what they claimed I would receive. She KNEW I needed more anesthestic and did not even attempt to make me comfortable, just continued inflicting pain on me. I frankly wanted to see how far she would take this. She did this knowing full well I was in pain, after all, watery eyes and flinching are a giveaway, don't you think? I left, and the treatment STILL did not work, so it's a huge waste of MONEY people! Not to mention how most of these treatments leave you looking rediculous. It was unprofessional and scary that a business owner would be so vindictive, to treat a customer in a manner that would prevent them from returning for yet another treatment, not by choice, but by neccessity, that they received payment for and were UNSUCCESSFUL with initially!! That is NOT the customer's fault and since it's very likely only a small percentage of people experience needing additional txs, WHY would they ruin their reputation because they are required to FIX the problem, get it right, free of charge? They still didn't get it right, so do NOT waste your money there people. read more

I went to Sally Hayes for a consult to get permanent makeup to my eyebrows. While there she recommended I get my prior permanent makeup removed before getting permanent makeup done by her. She referred me to an aesthetician named Angella Paloni at plastic surgeon Patti Flint's office. DO NOT GO THERE. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!! I went there for 3 treatments spaced out 3-4 weeks apart. Each treatments costs $200 and it does NOT work. There is NO lightening to the makeup on my eyebrows. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Sally Hayes is a Miracle Worker! I have been to more than one person for permanant eye liner and I had to go back every six months and pay not to mention live with the eye liner getting lighter and lighter in that six month period. This went on for years. NOT SALLY!!! She gave me permanent eyeliner for both above and below my eyes OVER FOUR years ago and it is Still just as Fresh and Beautiful as the day she put it on. I am THRILLED with the outcome and HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!!! Had my eyebrows done by Sally less than a year ago and they are already faded. Also they are missing spots in some areas that the ink never took. I feel like she didn't spend a lot of time making them match each other so they are not even. I was in and out in 10 minutes and she could have paid more attention to detail. I went to Sally Hayes because I heard she was the best at permanent makeup. I have an autoimmune condition that causes my eyebrow and eyelash hair to fall out so I wanted something permanent. The session was much faster than I anticipated and even with the numbing cream it was painful. I was told the brows would fade and when to come back for a second application. They faded quite a bit and some spots never took. I was hopeful that the second application would make them just right. Unfortunately, after the second touch up they still had holes in places and we're not right. I called her and explained the issue and requested a third touch up to fix the holes. She agreed and I returned for a third time. She told me then that if I needed any more touch ups she was going to have to charge me. She said the needles cost $50 each. I was taken aback because even if that's true I paid $500 for my brows and IMO they should look as expected after the treatments were done. I am not wealthy and we saved up for awhile to get this done for me since I am losing my eyebrow hair. I never returned because I can't afford to keep paying for touch ups on an already overpriced procedure. So now I have a right eyebrow that's only half there and a left one that's faded and crooked at the end. I love that there is a shape to follow when I put my eyebrow pencil on, but I don't love that I still have to use brow pencil after having this done :( read more

I just read two unhappy posts for women who did not get what Sally Hayes promises on Sonoran Living. I paid $900, and ended up with only the bottom eyeliner looking OK. I never even wore eyeliner on the bottom. I wanted the top liner and my brows to show up, but you can barely tell I have anything there. The eyebrows do not match, and I still have to use brow pencil and eye liner every day. The worst part was the pain I endured. She did not wait long enough for the solution to numb me before she started scratching away. The second time, she used no solution at all, claiming maybe it was the solution that bothered me! I cried, I screamed, I moaned, and she acted like I was the first person who ever felt pain when she did her nasty work! Yeah, right! I will not go back for more torture, but I do want others to save their money. Either go somewhere else or do not have this procedure done.
