However, the biggest challenge with this location is the efficiency of the check-in and check-out process. There is no dedicated front-desk person, which means the sugaring and waxing specialists are doing everything, performing services, answering phones, checking in clients, checking out clients, and managing walk-ins. Because of this, the wait times before and after the appointment are consistently extended, even when the staff is doing their best. The specialists themselves are great, but it's almost impossible for them to give a fully hands-on, focused experience when they're simultaneously trying to run the entire front-of-house. I understand wanting to cut costs, but the administrative side of the experience is too important to overlook. Even a part-time receptionist or intern would make a huge difference in the flow and overall customer experience. I genuinely like this location, but whether I return will depend on whether they improve this operational inefficiency. If you're in a rush or need a quick, smooth in-and-out appointment, this may not be the ideal location for you at the moment. I never do because I'm always concerned about an allergic reaction so out of caution I always decline. I don't have any personal experience with their products beyond the wax. I was given the sales pitch for buying a package of waxes. It's not a monthly subscription, simply a package of waxes. I declined not because it wasn't a reasonable price for the packages but because I'm really bad about going in consistently to anywhere that isn't the eyebrow threading place in Surprise that I'm used too. My eyebrows don't grow enough to go every 4 weeks & I don't want to go to have like 6 hairs waxed from each eye. Maybe one day I'll be a better adult & make consistent appointments. I've been coming here for almost 3 years and have always left happy...until this past Friday between 10-10:30 AM. There was only one lady working, an older woman with glasses. She was very kind, but unfortunately, this was the most painful threading session I've ever had. It felt like far too much hair was removed, and when she finished, she applied aloe without asking (something the other ladies usually do after checking if the customer wants it). When she handed me the mirror, I noticed my brows looked a little uneven, but since I was rushing to a doctor's appointment, I paid and left. Later, in better lighting, I was shocked. My brows were extremely thin...something I've never experienced here. I've always had naturally fuller brows, even though they've thinned slightly with age, and I take pride in keeping them that way. I honestly wanted to cry. I eventually called to share my concerns, and while no manager or owner was available, the girl who answered was very sweet and understanding. I explained what happened and suggested that the threaders be reminded to always confirm exactly what the customer wants...especially when someone asks for a simple clean-up. I know brows grow back, but this has been really upsetting, especially with an event I have next weekend. This is definitely a learning experience for me, and I just want to encourage others to be specific with their requests and, if possible, stick to a threader you trust for consistency.

My appointment started nearly 20 minutes late. When we went in for the body polish the table was dirty and had to be reset, and the service wasn't explained beforehand, which was uncomfortable going in blind as a first-time client. She also had me touch the tan on my body during the service, which you should never do, and it left spray tan all over my palms. I did not have my palms or nails wiped off at the end either. When I brought it her attention upon leaving (as well as other white spots all over my hands) she sprayed more, which I think ended up making it worse. She tried wiping off my palms at that point, but they were already stained. I paid over $80 total -- which is higher than other studios in Scottsdale, and I have never had a bad experience anywhere else. I still left orange and splotchy with the polish and primer add-ons -- photos attached. The girl who did my tan was nice, but maybe less experienced and appeared to be managing the whole studio on her own. When I reached out, the response was "sorry that you were unhappy with your service" -- but this wasn't about being unhappy, it was a service that wasn't done correctly. It feels like I'm being treated like I did something wrong. I was told I needed to come back in for them to review what happened, which would have required me to leave work early, and that since I hadn't done that I wasn't eligible for a refund. They did offer a free tan as a "gesture of goodwill", but I don't have confidence anything would be different next time. When a tan is orange and patchy, the only solution is to remove it and redo once the old tan is gone -- not go back for more. I'll be trying somewhere else. I ended up having to buy tan remover, a remover mitt and went in the pool several times to try to remove the solution and it's still stuck on there over a week later. I wanted to love this place as it's close to home. I hope they use this feedback to improve the new client experience. If someone turns down a free service, that might be worth reflecting on.

She just chuckled and said that I won't be disappointed. She is very meticulous and gentle while applying extensions. Made sure I was comfortable and would use water mister/fan occasionally to relieve the glue fumes stinging my eyes. We also have the best "organic" conversations and I feel like I'm with a good friend! What were the end results on my first appointment with her? Exceeded my expectations completely; I had the full volume with length done and they were uniform and flawless! Sold - I highly recommend Silvana to anyone here. 2. I have been getting eyelash extensions for over five years, and I have never experienced damage…read morelike this. A few months ago, I booked an appointment online at this location, assuming that any technician assigned to me would be properly trained. Unfortunately, I left my appointment with the majority of my natural lashes glued together. I returned to have the issue corrected, but after the "fix," my lashes were even more stuck together than before. At that point, I was advised to have the extensions removed. What should have been a 30-minute removal took over an hour and a half because my lashes were so badly adhered together. During the removal, nearly half of my natural lashes were pulled out. I was then advised to take a break from lash extensions to allow my lashes to recover. Because I was outside of their 72-hour policy, the salon would not issue a refund. While I understood their policy, I decided to place my membership on hold, expecting my lashes to heal within a reasonable amount of time. It has now been over a month, and my lashes are still significantly damaged. When I called to discuss the situation, the manager informed me that because my membership had been placed on hold, I would now have to pay another $220 for a full set--even though I cannot safely get extensions because of the damage caused during my previous appointments. Had I known my natural lashes would be damaged for months due to poor application, I would have canceled my membership immediately. I gave this company the benefit of the doubt, but after this experience, I cannot recommend them. They have taken no accountability for the damage caused, and the lack of concern for both the quality of their work and their customer service has been extremely disappointing
