She also made both me and my fiancee feel completely comfortable, safe and cared for during every visit. My second look dress is made completely of beads, making tailoring and alterations incredibly challenging. She did it perfectly speaking to her talent, attention to detail and experience. She also does not up charge for her alterations, and understands that weddings are incredibly expensive, and how impactful it is to have dress alterations not cost an arm and a leg. I cannot say enough about how incredible Svetlana is, and how her work speaks to her dedication to every person who walks in the door. Thank you for everything!!

From the very…read morefirst phone call to inquire about alterations for my wedding dress, I could already sense that she was so warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Meeting her in person only confirmed it. She listened carefully to every single one of my needs and accommodated each one with such grace and care. My wedding dress is chiffon, and she created the most gorgeous custom bustle in the back that made it look beautifully layered and flowing. Beyond her extraordinary skill, she made me feel beautiful. She complimented me, lifted my spirits, and even took the time to teach me how to walk without tripping on my train. That kind of thoughtfulness goes so far beyond what any seamstress is required to do. After I picked up my perfectly hemmed, bustled, and altered dress, I had a small panic moment (actually, a major panic moment) when I realized the style looked slightly different than I remembered from when I originally ordered it from Anthropologie. I called Svetlana in a near meltdown, and without hesitation, she invited me to come in that very same day. Within 20 minutes, she had fixed everything flawlessly!! I was in disbelief!! Svetlana is a true miracle worker, and anyone who gets to work with her is incredibly, incredibly lucky. I will be forever grateful that she was a part of my wedding journey!!! I love you, Svetlana!!!!

I needed a gown hemmed with less than 1 month notice, and they took it without grumbling. They had it ready the morning of the day I requested it be finished. The price was about $130, which seemed a bit pricy but I went through with it anyway. I asked for the front of the gown to just touch the floor and have a slight train in the back - I think they did a good job overall. The bottom of the gown (the area they hemmed) looks good as new (no strings hanging off). When I tried it on afterwards I think it's ever so slightly shorter than what I wanted, but barely. I would return here if I needed another tailoring job. The staff seemed to be good, honest people who care about their work. Though, if you're looking for somewhere very cheap, I suggest going elsewhere.

I explained the problem when I dropped them off and expected the zipper area to be repaired. When I picked them up, I discovered that the "repair" was simply sewing the bottom approximately two inches of the zipper shut. The zipper now physically cannot open all the way, which makes the pants considerably harder to get into. This was not explained to me beforehand or presented as a limitation of the repair. When I pointed out the problem, rather than discussing whether there was another solution, he repeatedly told me, "That's all I can do" and "What do you want?" The interaction was gruff and dismissive, and there was no attempt to address the fact that the repair had compromised the actual function of the zipper. I paid to have my pants repaired, not to have part of the zipper permanently sewn closed. I would not return.
