I always book with Erin, who is so chill and has years of experience. I'm not really a talker when I get my hair done because I want to relax, and she matches the vibe of every client she meets. After years of being underwhelmed with my hair leaving the salon, I FINALLY have people I can trust with my blonde! The prices are reasonable, but to be honest I'd pay more because I know that I can be actually proud of my hair when I walk out. The stylists are educated and knowledgeable, up to date with trends, and incredibly professional without seeming unapproachable. Erin is my go to girl, but you could go to any of the stylists and be making the best move. They also have a number of other quality salon services, including the keratin lash lift and tint that I CANNOT get over. Your own lashes just fluffed and darkened. Lasts 8 weeks! Wow. I was thrilled with my experience at Salon 139! This salon is located in the former Ida & Company Salon building. I had been to Ida's several times over the years, but had never had the occasion until recently to try out the newer salon, Salon 139. With an upcoming trip plus the temptation of a stellar Groupon, I decided that it was finally time to give them a try. Chelsea was my stylist. I came in with a mess of thick, wavy hair. Still on the short side, but much longer than I like to have. She asked me what color I wanted, and I stated I wanted to go platinum. There was an extra charge for that in addition to the Groupon due to the amount of toners they have to use for that coloration. No problem. I understood. Chelsea also had me look at Pinterest for some ideas on what I wanted my hair to look like once it was cut. I chose a short pixie. Throughout the coloring, cutting, and styling experience, Chelsea was kind, courteous, and very excited to see my transformation. That made me feel at ease. Would I come back here? It took me a long time to find a stylist and salon that I love but this salon is perfect for me. Sarah, the owner, is the best! She always does a fabulous job and is super easy to talk to. She's very well educated and can answer any hair concerns I may have. One of my favorite things about this salon is the loyalty punch card. Once you fill up a card, you get $50 off your next visit. They also do a lot of promotions: special events, gift card specials, product specials, etc. The owner is not always accepting new clients of her own (busier schedule) but all of the other stylists seem really nice and results always look great! Not happy with Erin at the salon. I set an appt. up two weeks ago for a haircut.... just a haircut nothing more and she just called me to cancel. She said the stylist has a wedding to do this Friday and cannot do my haircut. Should't they have known about a wedding when I called two weeks ago for a haircut??? Then when I was upset that she asked me to pick another day.... this has been a pandemic I need a haircut. She laughed at me and hung up the phone.. I called back asking for a manager and she did not grab one. I asked for a call back ... welp nothing. No call , just Erin laughing on the other end of the phone. Bad customer service. read more

Definitely a no go. Went for a Mani/Pedi and the first GEL manicure lasted less than a week. Unfortunately, I did not notice the bubbling until I got home, but shouldn't the manicurist? On my second, visit I waited over 30 minutes for my appointment with my daughter. I asked twice and finally the owner came to speak with me. She gave me nothing but excuses and when she finally realized that she was looking at the wrong booking she gave me a different excuse. I did get my money back since I had prepaid, but long story short, definitely not worth the drive. read more

I have been going to this salon for years even before it was sold and became Salon 139. Kelli has done my nails lots of times and always been very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. I can't imagine that she would be rude even though she was having a bad day. Aside from Kelli, now that it is "Salon 139" I notice the prices are higher and the place is not nearly as clean as it used to be ... The bathroom is dirty, the carpet looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in ages - thus 4 stars and not 5. read more
