Overall, I think this group of ladies was very professional, but I am disappointed with my hair and make-up execution. When I reached out to Salon 1|4 to do my trials, I didn't see these two items as being missed, but were unfortunately missed on my wedding day. Malia did my hair and although the curls are beautiful, she didn't part my hair straight. I have naturally dark hair and very pale skin, so my crooked hair part was very noticeable in many of my wedding photos. I did tell Malia too what kind of part I had, but she didn't bother to straighten it. Tara did my make-up, which she is very good at! The big miss on her end is that my eyeliner and/or fake lashes were not even across my eyes. Again, this was very noticeable in many up closed wedding photos of mine. It's really a big bummer and makes me sad looking through my photos. We didn't have mirrors in our getting ready space, which I regret significantly, but regardless, I really wish these ladies did a better job double checking their work before calling me done. I spent over $2000 on hair and make-up for 8 ladies, including myself. I was certainly expecting a more polished finish. I'd recommend looking at another salon or company before considering Salon 1|4 for your wedding.

I asked for bangs and she cut about 20 hairs to make the beautiful waterfall bangs I asked for. Her name is ALLISON. She seems to have no experience or common sense at all? I have no education in hair and I know when something is CLEARLY WRONG. I'm not confrontational and thought maybe I was just seeing everything wrong but I came home and it was indeed worse than I could imagine. She insisted on curling my hair too now I know why it's harder to see how shitty of a hairstylist you are when your hair is curly! Absolutely horrible. I really wanted to love this place, but am sad to not have had a better experience! I went today…read morefor my first bikini, full leg, & underarm wax. There are a few elements to review here. First, the girls working were all kind. My waxer maintained conversation throughout the entire waxing process to help distract from what I'd think would be a pretty painful & uncomfortable process for most people (I have a pretty high pain tolerance). My first negative was the fact that they never took the time to explain to me what in the world was going on and what I needed to do post-wax. Thankfully, I'm a researcher, so I had a good idea of what to expect walking into my appointment, but my waxer didn't explain a single aspect of the wax to me - just went ahead and started, despite clarifying it was my first wax. When I was leaving, they handed me a couple mini aftercare products and said bye. I wasn't bold enough to ask what they were because I felt very much like I was being rushed out, so again, I researched and determined a good course of action. I feel as though if you have someone who is coming for a first wax, you really need to be clear what is going on and especially what the aftercare process should look like, you don't want them to mess anything up! My second biggest complaint is the amount of bruising I have! Unfortunately I can't upload pictures of this because of the location (bikini wax), but it is pretty significant. Also based on research, I think this could be due to the technique used by my waxer that led to this not being the best experience (not making the skin taut, rewaxing the same area, etc.). Had I known these things in advance I would have spoken up, but here we are :( One suggestion I'd make to this place would be to also figure out a way to make the rooms slightly more private. They have the layout of the waxing rooms with the waxing tables/beds facing so that, if laying down, your legs/private area is facing towards the door. I mention this because, if the door opens for any reason, you would be completely exposed to the brows/lashes area of the salon. My waxer stepped out of the room and asked me to remove my underwear and lay on the table, but I wasn't comfortable doing that until she was back in the room with me, knowing that the door would swing open and I'd be exposed to who knows how many people! Probably worth considering switching the tables to another wall to protect the privacy of the clients!! However, one of the perks of this place was that they treated my service dog with so much kindness. They were very welcoming and had no issues whatsoever with her coming into the business. I'm always so thankful for places that are accommodating of ADA like this!!

It's not very easy to see unless you know what you're looking for. Once you find it though, it's so cute! They are very hospitable and the space is adorable. Very girly. If you are a bride-to-be, I'd highly consider this salon as they have special amenities for your morning of. They have Kevin Murphy & Kerastase brand items to be sold as well as an extension bar and I believe they have a medspa option within the same space. Ellie does an amazing job and I've been going to her consistently for the past 2 years, so thank you!

I made an appointment on-line (all services are by appointment only) and Amanda responded back within 30 minutes to confirm! On the day of my visit Amanda was pleasant and conversational (which was a nice distraction from the waxing!). She was quick and made the process as painless as could be expected for any hair removal. I was in and out in about 7 minutes! I'll be back! Tip: Amanda prefers to have services paid in cash. If a card is all you've got, be prepared for a $1 service charge.

She sees all manner of hoo-ha daily. So...I said the hell with it, flung my pants off, and she went to work. Conversation flowed easily, there was laughter, and before I knew it the hair was gone. It wasn't completely painless...but it was my first time after all. It wasn't the most painful thing I've experienced at all. It was over in under half an hour. I was give tips on after care as well.
