I went in last week to try gray blending partial lowlights and I could not be more sorry that I chose this salon .....the lowlights the stylist chose were way to dark and certainly did not blend. When I booked the appointment I was told that the stylist had done this before just recently and recommended her. I opted to get a haircut too which was another mistake on my part...after paying $245.00 for the services and a $40.00 tip I walked out with a chopped up bad haircut and lowlights that made me look like I had a cheap wig on. Absolutely unhappy with the salon and the service and out $300.00 , they are so overpriced . I need to go to a salon today that can help straighten out this mess that was done to my hair and pay more money..... read more

I've been a client of Mandy's here for years. She's a saint for dealing with how picky I am. I've had a wide range of services performed at Salon 202 including balayage, baby lights, tape in Perfectress extensions (installed and uninstalled), color, cuts and blow outs. I have to say this it one of the top salons in the area for vivid color services (I've had purple, pink, blue and green before). Highly recommend! read more

I walked and was nervous because it was over a year since I got a good hair cut! Alicia I have say she is wonderful! She asked how short I wanted my hair ! I told her ! Alicia did something I have never had done was a dry cut ! She said she does this to her clients to see how short or long we want to keep! First time trying this salon after hearing good reviews- I drove about 30 mins to come here and frankly was not disappointed! I'm very picky with my hair and have not found a "hair home", I get nervous trying new places anxious that I will leave broke and disappointed- but that was not what happened here! After watching their IG photos I selected a colorist that I felt would be able to understand me, Christine did a great job!! She listened and was very meticulous she was kind and not pushy, very talented with color. It wasn't the cheapest but not the most expensive. I called the day of(it was a Thursday) for a hair cut and went in and saw Michelle. Michelle was very professional, she asked questions to made sure the cut was exactly what I wanted and we discussed options for the future of my hair, how to get it stronger, products and vitamin recommendations, etc. I LOVE the cut she did. My hair was botched from a bad salon dye job and cut so I had been letting it grow for 6 months. I am normally very picky and I was extremely pleased. read more

I've had so many horrible experiences at a hair salon but this one takes the cake. I had a great experience with Kelly last year, however she was not available and I went with Alicia instead, who Kelly had recommended. I asked for an easy cut that Kelly had done last year: few inches shorter and lots of layers with angles around my face, and with a balayage. I asked for soft subtle waves and she styled it on the curly side. When I got home, I brushed out the curls and was so disappointed at how my hair looked. Apparently asking for many layers means 2 layers.. With over 6 inches between the longest layer and the 2nd and only other layer. This was not even close to what I asked for or the picture I showed her. I was so upset and initially wasn't going to say anything but I paid too much money to hate how I looked. I called back right away and was told I could come back in and have it fixed. I tried to explain to Alicia what the issues were and explain again what I wanted but she wasn't paying attention and didn't seem to care. She spent a decent amount of time putting more layers in which I appreciated, but clearly she does not have the skill or experience to cut a very easy hairstyle (I've had it cut that way at Supercuts before and they've done a better job). I found out she only had 1 year experience. It came out so incredibly terrible and choppy and uneven. I didn't realize it until I got home and looked at the back and sides of my hair. I couldn't believe she would let me walk out of the salon looking like that. Numerous friends and friends of friends were shocked. I told Alicia in the beginning that I just wanted my hair to look fabulous, and this is what she gave me. I called and spoke with the manager the next day who heard me out and then offered a refund. However, she did not even apologize nor seemed to really care. Long story short, I won't be coming back and I would stay away from Alicia if you want a haircut. She's okay with color but she clearly does not know how to cut hair. read more

I rarely write these reviews. But I must give credit to where credit is due. Lena is by far the best! My son loves her....of course it helps that she's absolutely gorgeous but her skills with hair are off the charts. She's kind, great with kids, and is super talented!!!! He's hooked and won't see anyone else. Be sure to call in advance because she books quickly for obvious reasons. read more

I would recommend making sure your stylist is experienced in the service you are requesting. I asked for long layers, and ended up with a super choppy uneven cut. I had to go else where to get it evened out and ended up having to cut way more than I had planned. The salon itself seemed clean and neat, I was very disappointed. read more
