I don't want to discredit the positive experiences I've had here in the past, but something went very wrong this time. I went for a trim and asked for layers and mentioned that I hate that straight-across, blunt look when the hair is all same length. This is what I am left with. It's SO so bad and doesn't blend at all. My color is fine but she pretty much ruined my hair. It will take months of me growing the top layer out before I'm able to get it fixed elsewhere. It's a terrible haircut and I'm so limited with how I can wear it. Everyone notices and comments on how bad it is. read more

Booking is always easy, the staff hustle to squeeze you in if you're a walk in kind of gal like me. Most days they are full so book ahead! During the COVID lockdown, I totally allowed my hair to get out of control. Then one day, I did a walk-in at another salon, well, I will leave it at that! I finally made an appointment with Barbara. By that time, I was so frustrated, I told her just cut it all off, I can't stand it! She said, nope, let's give it some time. I am so glad I listened to her! My hair is now getting in awesome condition, better than it has been so many years! She truly understands her customers and their hair type. I have very fine hair, and she nails it every time. Les and Barbara have a way of welcoming you and making you feel like you belong there. The warmth and authenticity is unparalleled I went in late in the afternoon and was kindly still taken in. My quest was simple-long layers, some dimension to give some umph to my hairstyle. It has been very few and fair between when stylists have done exactly what I wanted. Leslie was this stylist. My hair was exactly what I wanted, pretty even layers that made my face pop again. Pleasant conversation and good company along with that. I'd call this the perfect ten of a place. Drew Colors is an excellent hairstylist. He definitely knows his stuff! I have been several stylist throughout my lifetime, but Drew is tops! I original found him at another salon in the Coral Square Mall. When the saloon closed, I followed him to Salon 51. The only reason I drive to this location is because of him.
