As an avid user of Groupon and Yelp, I was very excited to find a spa with good deals and reviews. Upon walking in, you'll feel the calming aura and fresh fragrance of the spa. The bathroom is well equipped with baby wipes and paper towels, in case you need to freshen up before your wax. The owner does everything, front desk, waxing, facials, etc. Throughout my visit, she would apologize and take a step out to take care of a walk-in customer. Out of all the waxing services that I've received, Lucy made me feel the most comfortable. She was very easy to talk to -- from culture, traveling, and work, she was able to keep the conversation flowing as she was waxing. Even when she waxes the butt strip, she tells you to do the happy baby yoga pose, instead flipping over and spreading, which is less uncomfortable. In terms of pain, I honestly think that Brazilian waxes will always be painful. Thankfully, our conversation was a mild distraction from the pain. You get a feeling that you're in the best hands the entire time as she checks on your level of comfort and advises you on what to expect. There was no rush, no skimming. Lucy is one of the most sweetest aestheticians I've met! The salon is cute, very well kept, clean and sanitized! It has been couple months since I've gotten waxed (since quarantine started basically) and she made me feel completely comfortable and did an outstanding job getting all my unwanted hair with as little pain as possible. She offers ample amount of hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray and also never double dips the wax sticks, which is very important to me for sanitation reasons; an experienced waxer & clean facility will never double dip the wax sticks after making contact with skin. The atmosphere at Totally Beauty Spa is everything! As soon as I walked in I loved the energy, the friendliness and the decor. I first went for a facial which I almost rescheduled because while waiting for Lucy, comfortably seated in the waiting room on an awesome massage chair, I received terrible news. Instead I chose to stay and right before starting my facial, Lucy gave me a wonderful massage to help me calm down and then she went to work. She made sure to check in frequently to see how I was doing since I had quite a bit of extractions and didn't have a professional facial for some time before. I found this place on Groupon. My skin feels super soft, pores are clear and I'm excited to return for my next facial! She offers so many great services using the newest technology. While checking out, her amazing receptionist Arielle, told me about their massage special with 30 minute Infrared sauna which I booked and returned a couple of days later. I needed deep tissue and Heidi, who happened to be there on my way out, gave me a little sample and I was sold! My massage appointment was yesterday morning, I spent 30 minutes jamming to my own music in the Sauna which was so much fun until my phone overheated! The massage session was incredible and needed! She applied the perfect amount of pressure and worked hard on the difficult areas where I was experiencing pain for weeks, even despite my weekly acupuncture and reflexology massage. I will definitely be back soon and bringing my mother as well. Lucy is a talented multilingual Brazilian woman who is passionate about her business and she's also extremely busy so I can understand why some people might feel rushed. IF YOU WANT YOUR SKIN TO BURN OFF, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! I cannot be more frustrated with this company I went for a Brazilian wax and I got severely burned all over even though I followed all the directions for follow up care. I called back a week later to cancel my follow up appointment and informed them that I was burnt and they should look into that. Instead they only cared about whether not I will be booking another appointment with them again instead of trying to find out the cause of why I had been burned or what actions should be taken at their company. I mentioned to them that the wax was too hot and it hurt, but they insisted it was the correct temperature as they placed another scalding wax on me. I could not use the restroom, sit, stand, or do anything normal in public for over a week because I was consistently trying to hide my pain from the burn. I thought it was maybe just me, but I went to a different spa for a Brazilian & I was never, not once in discomfort. read more

I wanted to try waxing for the first time so I went to this waxing salon because it is highly rated and unfortunately I had the worst experience! The staff felt too busy to attend to me at all. When they finally did take me back for service, the service felt hasty. The employee was off in a hurry after finishing and left me with a wet cloth to try and clean the sticky residue myself. I thought it was just sticky and was pulling the skin as I cleaned, but turns out I'm burned. Pretty uncomfortable to walk. You couldn't pay me to do this again. Lovely spa, lovely experience and lovely service! I went to Lucy for derma-planing and anti-aging facial. I arrived a few minutes early to fill out forms and was taken in right on time. I've only had derma-planing once before and it was apparent that Lucy was a lot more professional and skilled than the last person. Before she began the procedure, she showed me the blade was coming from a brand new, unsealed package which immediately made me feel even more at ease. The facial was wonderful. The extractions weren't as painful as I've experienced in the past, but still she was very thorough and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. She used a special cover for the mask which helps it penetrate even more and stayed in the room with me the entire time. My face was glowing and still feels smooth. I called and made an appointment for a massage. As requested, today I arrived early to fill out paper work before the massage. After I had undressed and was on the table, the therapist came in the room and said, because I have cancer, I need written authorization from my doctor that it is okay for me to have a massage. Of course I just didn't happen to have one on me. I've had about 100 massages during the 10 years I've had cancer and no one has ever said that to me.
