I truly love this place. It has everything I want. Number one the owner Andy is attentive, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about his business. My colorist Cecilia always comes in for me when needed. She does a beautiful job in my hair. A quick share.... My son broke his collarbone and had not washed his hair in sometime......I called Andy and ask if he had anybody that could do a fast good wash on my son. At first he didn't even ask why, just said come in. I felt the need to tell him though. He said get over here we will take care of him. I will never forget that. Thank you so much. Called yesterday, in today! I just moved to the area and needed a new hairdresser, so I chose Salon 6 after reading some great reviews. This morning I was running behind for my appointment, and when I called I was told "no problem." Upon arrival there was only one other customer being serviced; admittedly I was a little concerned, especially since there was no fuss over my tardiness. My fears were unwarranted; believe me when I say I had a great experience. Linda listened to me and gave me a great cut. During the appointment, she was very helpful with tips for hair care and was also conversational but not overly chatty like other stylists I've met (I'm that person who enjoys having her hair brushed in relative silence). I also appreciate that Linda did not push products on me, as I've had happen at other salons. If I had to complain about anything it would be that $50 seems a little overpriced for a wash and cut, but I also realize that inflation is very real for everyone (business owners included). I would definitely recommend Salon 6 (and Linda). read more

I called ahead to find out the cost of a blow dry. I was told $40. When I went t to pay it was $50 plus tip. The owner said every time a stylist picks up to tool it raises the price..in my case it was a curling iron. Just out of curiosity I asked my stylist how much they charge for make-up. She told me $100 dollars and said no thanks. Then she offered to put some foundation on. I thought she was being nice but when I went to pay the original cost was more.. Was in with my mother a long time ago. She wanted to get a perm for wavy or beach-y curled hair. The lady at the desk swore up and down she would be able to do it even after showing her pictures. Fast forward to the appointment she uses the smallest rods and the hair comes out to 2c or almost 3a curls. They were super small and tight curls which was definitely not what she asked for. I have no idea why she couldn't have just told the truth and say it was not possible for her to do. Lied to get a couple of hundreds of dollars. My mother was not happy but was too nice to say anything. I was recommended to book an appointment with Cecilia. Day of the appointment was great, Cecilia welcomed me in and listened to what I needed and created magic. I was so overwhelmed with her work. Haven't treated myself to a salon since we moved to South Florida 2 years ago. I know I was in desperate need of a haircut and color. Decided to come here after receiving a complementary haircut for moving into the neighborhood. Let me tell you that this marketing really works. I decided to come here with my 10 yr old daughter who also needed a trim. Nichole was the stylist who did my wash and cut my daughter's hair. Lori did a phenomenal job on getting my hair back in order. After not cutting my hair for 4 years I figured a salon would be best rather than a barber shop. Without an appointment and it being a Monday when it seems few salons are open, I was hopeful as I walked in the door and was greeted by a friendly staff/owner who offered me coffee during my brief wait for the stylist to be available. I was then greeted by Carlos, the stylist, who told me he needed to wash my hair before we started. My hair was still very wet from just getting out of the shower and I informed him of such but he insisted so I acquiesed. He was SO rough during the shampoo that I could hear my hair ripping (medium length hair) and my head was being pulled in different directions, I had to put my hands up and ask he be a little gentler. Once in the chair I showed him a picture of what I was hoping to attain, he looked at it for one second and started cutting so aggressively I swore I was going to lose an ear. He pushed and pulled my head around so violently I quickly developed a headache; at one point he told me to look down with my chin to my chest at which point he pushed my head down so hard I seriously wondered if he had done this to older clients they would surely suffer a cervical injury. He clipped my hair so short that I stopped him and asked him to double check the picture, as my hair was supposed to tuck behind my ear. Instead of tryin to allay my fears and reassure me he had a plan, he instead became angry and told me he'd done this for 30 yrs and who was I to tell him how to cut hair. I should have left. Instead I allowed him to finish. Suffice to say my hair looked like a bowl cut, looked NOTHING like the picture, and I had to go to a REAL stylist the next day to have it fixed. Never again. Every woman knows how NERVE WRACKING it is to change your hair stylist. Had to share my WONDERFUL Experience at Salon 6. I had a good haircut & Linda made it so much better. My first thought was it was too short, but the compliments have been ENDLESS. If I thought it was too short, I was wrong. The grow out process (which can be painful) is still STYLIN! Sam at Salon 6 is fantastic! I went from blonde to red and back to blonde within a year, which absolutely destroys anybody's hair (as most women know). Sam is really knowledgeable and has drastically changed the texture of my hair with an Olaplex bonding treatment. Now my hair is so much healthier without having to chop it all off. Sadly the stylist Cecilia completely burned my hair. I took chunks of fried hair out of my brush. I kept asking her whether she's holding the bleach too long and she assured me that was the necessary amount of time. I knew in my gut that it was too long. Add insult to injury the highlights were completely uneven. I had areas where there was just dark growth. I also ended up with a zebra like effect on the sides of the head because the foils weren't properly placed. I waited 4 days, bought and used a hundred dollars worth of masks and treatments to bring back moisture to my hair and eventually the following week had to go to a different salon to fix it. All in all I ended up paying over $200 to Salon 6 and another $170 to fix it the following week with a different styljst. She's a nice lady but I would never in a million years go to her again. Wish her the best but she really did ruin my hair. read more

This salon is, by far, the very best I've been to. I made my appointment with Andy, and not only did he schedule me right away, he worked with me regarding my crazy schedule. Andy greeted me like an old friend, and brought Michelle to my rescue. She thoughtfully looked over my pictures of hairstyles, listened to my ideas, added a bit of my personality, while making me laugh.... multitasker to the core. Worst life experience. Think before you go. I had to go three times to fix color my color. The last time she fried them. Nicole ruined my beautiful healthy hair. They are coming off in clumps. Amazing service! Quality care from a salon that truly cares for it's customers. It is easy to schedule an appointment and the staff goes beyond the call of duty to assist their clients. They do a great job with hair for both women and men, which was surprising to me as most salons are focused more on female hair. Their location is convenient and easy to schedule appointments.
