I sent messages, called the salon, and even went back in person. Each time I was told the manager was not there and that they would call me back. I was repeatedly told they would contact me, but they never did. I was completely ignored and the issue was never addressed. Very disappointing experience and extremely poor customer service.

I was running 10 minutes late due to traffic and called ahead. The receptionist was kind and said they would wait, but I can't help wondering if my poor experience was retaliation for being late. First, the haircut itself was bad (let my picture speaks for itself). I've had bad haircuts before, but this was probably one of the worst -- even worse than the one I once got at a $10 chain salon many years ago. I showed Todd a reference photo, but what I got looked nothing like it. My hair was uneven (clearly visible in the photos), and from the back it looks like a mop. He didn't ask me basic questions -- such as where I part my hair or how much length I wanted -- and when he was done, he didn't even show me the back with a mirror (which makes sense now, because it looks terrible). The service was just as bad as the haircut. While drying my hair, he used such a high heat setting that it burned my scalp -- and even five days later, my scalp still hurts. During the cut, he walked away for 5-6 minutes without saying anything, leaving me awkwardly facing the entrance gate with hair all over my face ( he did not even bother to rotate my chair back to face the mirror). The same thing happened at the shampoo station, where I was left staring at the ceiling, wondering if he would come back. For almost $100 (including tip), I expected a professional haircut and at least decent service with some communication. I regret ever going to Mather Salon. I am also attaching my credit card statement so you know it was my authentic experience.

My hair was down to the middle of my back but in pretty rough shape and my last color was done in October with my AZ stylist so also pretty bad shape. But it is a Redken Salon, they have to go through so much training you would think they would grasp the concept of how to correctly do hair, so she should be able to handle it. I went in for my 2:00PM appointment. My biggest thing was I have a wedding coming up and want the grays covered to last at least four weeks, which was NOT an issue with any other stylist in my entire life. I wanted a platinum blonde and wasn't too worried about the hairstyle as long as I could do a ponytail because hair grows back eventually. What I got was absolutely terrible and I paid over $400, not including the product for another $100 plus, and left the shop after 8:30 PM. It did look okay that night because she worked her magic. BUT....She did not do blonde except at the ends; the roots where she used a dark brown glaze, natural color, which showed the grays the next morning. That was the only thing I stressed to this stylist, no grays. I wanted blonde but she felt the root color would help blend it better between appointments. Plus she used foils; the weight of these foils was extremely heavy! AND she ruined my shirt that I was wearing due to bleach getting on it and I have NEVER had this happen before. It has taken me two weeks to calm down enough to write this review as I HATE everything about my hair! I was planning to fight the credit card charge but instead I will chalk this up to an awful experience. I am so unhappy I barely leave the house and I still have to find someone that can do my hair properly prior to the upcoming wedding. Ugh! I hate being new in town. Please do not go here and waste your money. This glaze, if she even used one, that was placed on my hair was not to help her BUT it was most definitely to waste my money so she could get another $400 plus dollars from me next time and waste another six plus hours of my time and STILL not get it right. Just an FYI, my AZ stylist does not use foils and could get my hair done within 1.5 hours and it lasted six weeks, if I had to go that long but usually four weeks max, where grays just started to show. She also never had to remove more than two inches unless I felt like going shorter but I always had my ponytail. I do not have that here either!

Recently booked an appointment with Jill.  I had reference pictures of the color I wanted. Jill…read morestated several times she was thinking of how to execute the color. During the session, Jill continued talking about how long the color was going to take. She said she was going to color it a quicker way and only had the color sit for 15-20 minutes.  When she was drying my hair I saw several missed spots including my widows peak. My natural hair is brown and I was seeing brown. When she finished, Jill said she wanted me to come back to fix the darker parts. I agreed and made a second appointment. I confirmed the second appointment was no additional charge. Jill texted on the morning of my appointment saying she wasn't available. She tried to see another stylist was available, but no one was.  She said she could see me the following week but that wasn't going to work. I had a 3 hour appointment and neither of us got the desired results. I called the salon and spoke with the receptionist, she confirmed no other stylist was available. Then she claimed she could fit me in as long as it was only going to take a couple of hours, but if it was going to take longer they weren't able to do anything. She kept asking me what I wanted fixed which was annoying. I assume Jill and the receptionist didn't have a conversation about how to fix the color. The receptionist had me as being blonde in their system, but I have never been blonde. I told the receptionist there were brown parts I wanted fixed. I told receptionist since there is no availability, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go back. Her response was, "The stylist did her best." I emailed the owner of Oma Salon, Becky Wheelus, asking for a full or partial refund. Becky claims I was given a discount. I never received a discount. I was charged for the entire appointment, $241 including tip. Becky asked me to go back but I've already had to go to another salon because Oma was unavailable and unwilling.
