I've been coming here for years now and it's seriously one of the best private salons in LA - perfect location on Canon, the building has private valet, is super duper clean and Covid conscious, and it's artists seem like a big happy family. I initially went to get a cut and color, now I get that plus extensions from Anush Hair Design, (310-920-4545) as well as superb facials from Skincare by Andrea (310-880-9422) I am a blonde so it's been a nightmare search finding a great blond colorist. Anush also recommended keratin treatments and hair Botox which have literally CHANGED MY HAIR from thin and stringy to full long and full of volume. I had my first service with Lashelle at 338 N Canon Drive., Beverly Hills yesterday. He told me we would be doing a facial along with some eyebrow grooming. I expected a simple procedure, but the level of care and expertise I received was beyond what I could have imagined and truly out of this world. This man takes the game to a whole new level! The vibe of his studio is instantly calming and at moments I felt like I was teleported to 1920's Paris. The music and scents and even the machines he used felt like I was in another time altogether. It was almost as if the procedures and the music were choreographed, perfectly in sync. After the service I was in meditative state and more relaxed than I have been in years. I bought a lifebooker deal and had a wonderful experience. Helga is the girl who does the lifebooker deals. When i first got to the salon I was very confused becasue I had never seen a concept like this for a hair salon. Each stylist was independent and was in their own glass room. It took me a bit to figure out what room I was in and what stylist I had, but that was mostly my fault for not taking note of what room number she gave me. Helga did a fabulous job on my highlights. She was very sweet and took her time and asked me exactly how i liked them. They turned out beautiful. The cut was great too and she gave me hair product suggestions due to my dry hair. My stylist is Teresa Gray, for some reason, finding a good stylist in or near LA is like finding a needle in a haystack. You get to a point where you lower your expectations and settle for something that looks good enough or close enough to what you wanted. With that being said, I have to say that my experience with Teresa has been truly refreshing. She did my hair for the first time over 2 years ago, and I left with exactly what I wanted. One of the concerns I expressed to Teresa was that I'm not that great at styling my hair. She made a note of that concern and gave me a haircut that I can style effortlessly. I have grown up hair, and I love it. Teresa is super sweet; she listens, and she makes you feel welcome. In fact, she even gives other stylist's clients the same vibe. If she finds you wondering aimlessly, she doesn't hesitate to help you feel welcome and point you in the correct direction. I'm always a little nervous when I book anything hair-related through LifeBooker or Groupon because I have had a few bad experiences in the past that strike home the fact that usually you get what you pay for...but I just had one of the best Brazilian Blowouts I have ever had from Helga at Salon 90210, and I know I'll be back! Salon 90210 is basically the Beverly Hills version of Salon Republic-a converted office building that houses a number of single unit salons. From what I have heard from the stylists, its a way better concept than renting a chair at a salon because they have more independence and can run their own little salon exactly the way they would want to. For the customer, this can be a bit confusing at first, but overall I think its a great idea. I say confusing at first because there is no reception, no one greeting you, and each separate glass-enclosed room doesn't have a name on it, which can make it kind of hard to find the person you are looking for. That being said, its nice that the stylist focuses their entire attention on you, and its a lot more relaxing than being in a busy salon can be. However, you are at the mercy of whoever you scheduled the appointment with...so you better hope they are good! Helga, the girl who ran a deal on Lifebooker for the Brazilian Blowout was fantastic. For those of you who do not know what a Brazilian Blowout is, it is basically the best thing ever for those of us with thick, unruly, wavy, or frizzy hair. Its a chemical mix that straightens, removes frizz, and basically just allows for a lot less time when you style your hair in the morning. It will not make your hair stick straight or flat, but at least in my case--when it is done right--it will remove about 95% of the frizz from my hair and lasts from 2-4 months. I've had it done by stylists who either do not know how to do it (you technically have to be "certified" to do it, but I don't think everyone who says there are actually is), or are lazy or too skimpy with the use of the product. When its done right, it is amazing. When its not, it will make your hair a bit shinier but by the time you wash it a few days later, it will be back to normal. Like I said, Helga was great. Very sweet, and very efficient. I was out of the salon within 1.5-2 hours, which initially made me a bit nervous because when it is done too fast, its usually a sign it has not been done correctly. However, its been almost 3 weeks and my hair looks great!!! Because I've had this done so many times, I know when its a good job, and this definitely is. This review is for the stylist Helga. Came here for a Balayage highlights after driving 2.5 hours. Then, Helga says, oh your hair needs color correction and it will cost $4-600 dollars.. I can't do your hair. I have colored my hair dark brown probably 8-9 months ago, and the highlighting process will bleach out and she can just tone it. Instead, she says she can't do it. And, aren't you supposed to ask me over the phone before the visit? Total waste of time and rip-off! read more

As you may already know, Salon 90210 is basically the building that houses all the independent stylist/ businesses. It has an underground valet parking which is a flat rate of $3 I believe, plus $1 per hour. So if your hair appointment is around 4-7 hours, expect to pay up to $10. Great location, private salon on Canon Drive, bright, clean, new and beautiful! Also a big bonus - it's dog friendly! I've been coming to Anush now for 3 years, and I'm always getting compliments on my hair - people are shocked when I tell them I have extensions because it looks so natural. The first time I came to see Anush my hair was an absolute mess when I went to see Anush. She took me in later in the evening to help accommodate my work schedule and stayed until 11:00 pm working on my hair. No rushing at all. She took her time and made sure my hair looked gorgeous when I left the salon. Not only did she bring my hair back from the dead, she also took care of me - I had come to see her straight from work and didn't have any time to eat. Anush even made sure I had food to snack on! She fixed my color - now it looks vibrant. She did the best keratin treatment I've experienced, ever. And most importantly, she replaced my extensions with her system and I couldn't be more thrilled. I had previously had tape in extensions which were ripping my hair out and when I showed up to see Anush, my extensions were dangling and messy. Anush took one look and knew exactly what to do. Salon 90210 is a great salon with an excellent concept behind it. My only suggestion is to stay away from Helga. I recently went for a Brazilian blowout appointment with her. When I first called her, she told me not to buy the Groupon discount and instead she will just charge me $99. Once I arrived she was very nice and friendly. As it came for me to pay she told me I owe her $200. That's TWICE what she had told me over the phone. She said I have more hair than she expected. If I knew she was going to charge me that much I would have went to a different salon. I was furious. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. It's absolutely ridiculous to tell someone one price, and only once the job is done you tell them a different price. It would have been understandable if she told me before she worked on my hair, but telling me after... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? On top of it all, once I washed my hair three days later it was curly and still frizzy. I saw a difference, but nothing compared to the other salons I have previously been to. The left side of my hair is much curlier than my right side and it's clear that she did a terrible job. It was definitely not worth $200 let alone 99 dollars. I am extremely disappointed because I feel as if I've thrown 200 dollars down the toilet. I really recommend to avoid Helga at all costs when it comes to doing the Brazilian Blowout because you will definitely be disappointed. read more

Helga is the most talented/convenient/professional/easiest/ hair stylist to work with. She BRAIDS. You'd be surprised to learn that many hair stylists don't know how to braid. I love her place too, it's super classy, tiny and intimate, you don't have to talk quiet or accidentally eavesdrop on the other hairstylists and their clients because it's just you two in her quaint salon. I have been going to her for 6 months now. I have gotten hair cuts, colors, ombres, blow outs, and I'm scheduled for a braid updo this Friday. I'm an aspiring actress with last minute changes/cancellations of shoots, less than a week notices of award shows, and I even got the time wrong once, so I was an hour late, she has been an absolute joy and sweetheart through it all. She understands me and keeps up with me in this crazy city aka gets back to me. I seriously don't know if any hair stylist could get any nicer. She has the best attitude and girls we all know hair stylists can be stuck up and rude in this town, but not Helga! I even called her Helena once and she is still nice to me. I live in Hollywood so Beverly Hills is a bit of a trek for me (Don't judge me I am from Hawaii so I biked everywhere) but I recently tried a hair salon in Hollywood and I did not feel welcome at all, granted they were good too but because they weren't welcoming and stuck up I won't be going back, I will be making the "trek" to Beverly Hills for Helga.
