From the moment I arrived, the entire consultation felt surprisingly impersonal. Most of my appointment was spent with very young staff members rather than the surgeon himself. By the time I actually met with Dr. Barrett, it was only for about five minutes. He was pleasant and professional, but the entire experience felt rushed and transactional. I left almost feeling like it was a fever dream, it was over so quickly that I walked away confused instead of confident. The biggest disappointment was being told that the only way I would have a good breast augmentation result was with a lollipop lift and implants. I wasn't told this as an option it was presented as essentially the only option that would look good for my anatomy. I left feeling discouraged and thinking I didn't really have a choice. Thankfully, I listened to my gut and scheduled consultations with other highly respected, board-certified plastic surgeons. Every other surgeon had a different perspective. I ultimately chose another extremely reputable surgeon who recommended Motiva Ergonomix implants placed over the muscle (subfascial). He explained that because I had only mild pseudo-ptosis, the implant itself would provide the subtle lift and upper-pole fullness I was looking for without requiring a lollipop lift. I'm now on the other side of surgery, and I could not be happier with my results. I got exactly the look I wanted, avoided unnecessary scars, and didn't need the more invasive procedure I had been told was my only option. To be clear, I don't think Dr. Barrett was unkind. He was nice during the brief time we spoke. My issue was that the consultation felt rushed, impersonal, and left me feeling defeated rather than educated. Starting off I'm a mom of three so the girls definitely needed some work ! I got my lollipop lift (do not recommend! In 2023 I underwent a breast augmentation revision with lift and a BBL with Dr. Barrett in Beverly Hills. I chose this surgeon because of his reputation and paid approximately $60k for the procedures. Before surgery I shared that I was nervous because this was my second breast surgery. My first augmentation and lift had actually been done in Bangkok, and I mentioned I was worried about scarring. I remember Dr. Barrett laughing and saying something along the lines of, "You're in a Beverly Hills doctor's office, not Thailand." Ironically, my first surgery abroad healed far better than this one. I got revision because after having 2 kids my tits sagged. Unfortunately I developed severe raised keloid scarring from the procedure. The scarring has been extremely distressing and has had a major impact on my confidence. I reached out to the clinic by email explaining my concerns and how much stress this outcome has caused me. Rather than feeling supported, the response I received seemed focused on quoting additional procedures rather than addressing the situation or my well-being. Unfortunately, I was never told that a breast lift might be necessary to achieve the look I wanted. After surgery, I ended up with issues that weren't there before: a pointy shape on one side, a puffy areola, and a very noticeable, thick incision. When I reached out to the office to express my concerns and left reviews, I was repeatedly told that it was just my anatomy. That was confusing because my anatomy wasn't like that before the surgery. I had an explant and fat transfer to the breast surgery done with Dr Barrett and his team yesterday and the experience far exceeded my expectations. Every member of Dr Barrett's team was so calming, reassuring and provided all of the necessary information. The surgery itself was very easy (on my end). One moment they were asking me about Christmas and the next I was waking up feeling great in recovery. I felt perfectly fine the rest of the day! I ended up deciding to just get it done and over with since I knew I DID need to repair my hernia regardless with him or a general surgeon. I took a leap and was on his operating table just one month after my consultation. They got me in early when I explained how nervous I was and just wanting to get it over with (lol). My surgery went so smooth and they were so kind to my mom at every appointment she accompanied me to. He personally called me a couple times after my procedure to check in when he knew we were driving home and my first morning home they had flowers from a local flower shop delivered to my house with a sweet card. I would not recommend Dr. Yamin for Botox treatment. I felt like this was a money grab for him. This was my first time (I was 29 at the time) and I went with my mom who is 55 years old. I told him I wanted baby Botox that was very subtle especially since it was my first time. He told me I would need 50 units on my forehead and around my eyes for my crows feet. This is my first time so I said okay and had him inject me. My mom went next and he told her the same thing. I thought that's weird that we got the same amount of Botox since my mom had a lot more wrinkles that I did. Anyways, after 2 weeks my forehead was completely frozen and it dropped. Oh Dr Barrett the HELL he has put me and my family through. I went in for a silicon removal and a fat transfer, which he liposuction my upper back and my stomach. My hemoglobins levels dropped to 6 and none of the staff or nurses decided to check my hemoglobins levels before sending me home. The following day I was rushed to the Hospital due to low blood count. The hospital gave me 3 pints of blood and Dr Barrett contacted the hospital and told them " discharge him because he is my patient" after I was discharged he wanted me back in his clinic for massages on my stomach, which clearly did not work because my skin ended up dying. He had to rush me to surgery 3 times to remove the dead skin from Butt. Due to the surgery he left me with an extremely big open wound. I am no longer under his care, because this is out of his hands already. But please do yourself a favor and find a different Doctor. Do your research and do not make the same mistake that almost cost my life!! Don't be foolish, as I was. Do your due diligence when selecting your surgeon. Don't believe reviews. Consult with many surgeons prior to making your final decision. Surgeons see us as cattle, once you've entered their office its $ they see. The whole staff treats you with respect . I got my first ever plastic surgery (breast augmentation) . Dr Barrett and his staff are amazing and friendly people . I do wish my breasts were a bit bigger since we talked about going 650 to 700 cc which I was so excited about since I model and am curvy only to get 550 and 600. I do notice some of the skinner girls getting about 400 cc and questioned sometimes why I got smaller then expected . The scar is not noticeable and the staff/ building is very clean and amazing but I paid 10k to get my large breasts to fit my curvier figure only to find them dropped a bit and look smaller then I wanted. They were nice enough to let me film my procedure. I noticed they put larger ones in and then took them out for smaller ones . Overall I had a good experience . You can watch my surgery on YouTube . Not only does Dr. Barrett have a lot of information on his social media ( Instagram, Yelp, YouTube), his staff, is ready and willing to answer any questions you may have. Every one of his staff that I've come across, has been knowledgeable and friendly. The first time I inquired, they answered every questions I had. They didn't hold anything back. They even gave me a ballpark figure, which after going out and having many other consultations, this was surprising to me and it was reasonable compared to what I've heard from other surgeon's. But before I tell you why Dr Barrett is so amazing, I'd like to share a little bit of my breast augmentation revision journey with you. Breast augmentation revision surgery isn't a simple procedure and requires an experienced, highly skilled surgeon to perform this delicate work. Knowing this we searched statewide and thought we'd found the perfect doctor in the San Diego area. We paid almost $30k and I walked away with my leaky implant replaced, but I had some odd lumps and scars in my left breast. It looked like I could see the sutures under my skin. I was also having issues healing and spent so many nights not being able to sleep that I ended up actually hallucinating one night. We ended up making repeated emergency trips back to see the surgeon who repeatedly told me things looked great! (Trust what your body is telling you! Things were not great!) After traveling from Northern California to Southern California several times only to have the surgeon making inappropriate comments to me and worst of all ask ME what the lumps and black spots on my left breast were, we knew we needed a different surgeon.
