Since I can't comment back on shondra's comment on my previous review here's your response. No I don't have black dye in my hair this is incorrect my hair is naturally black. The ends maybe 10% of my hair had reddish tones. I've dyed my hair from my natural black color before. Black to balayage and turned out fine- I also showed you these pictures after you turned my hair red orange and yellow. Also, yes I did agree that it won't necessarily turn ash blonde like I want right away I'm aware as I've had a balayage in the past for multiple years. You also never responded to my 3 texts earlier this week, I also called you 3x however it went straight to voicemail so I left a voicemail- still no response. I'm assuming at this point you have me blocked. In addition, I commented on my Venmo payment to refund me - again no response from you. Please don't try covering this up. Shandra never fails me! I went to her because I knew she would help me achieve the hair I ultimately wanted. First I went in there with uneven hair color and not to mention i also had RED in my hair. With my experience I knew that if i wanted to get to the BLONDE i'm asking for, it will be a process and I knew I wasn't going to achieve that with the first or second session! I came all the way from Oakland to see Samantha, a stylist at Salon Allure, and I'm unhappy to say that I did not walk out the salon happy with my hair. I understand that my hair is a dark brown, borderline black and it is harder to lighten with bleach without having orangey/copper tones, but I would have been happy knowing that she was incapable of reaching my desired look before driving out 1hr15mins. I've seen people with dark hair come out of salons blonde. Instead of telling me ahead of time she wasn't going to be able to reach my desired look, she sat me down, started the process and I didn't get to see my hair until it was all completely done, dried, and styled. I was faced away from the mirror the entire process and at the end suggested I come back for a second process. I'm very unhappy and embarss with my hair and I'm sad that I'm going to have to pay someone else to fix this. I'll put an update of where I get my hair done and how it looks when I get it fixed. Since this incident, ive gotten my hair fixed by another salon and have spoken with Samantha. She was very unprofessional in her approach towards her paying customer. Glenda: First appointment, she didn't even ask what I wanted to do with my hair and I was in need of MAJOR hair work. When I told her what I wanted, she said balayage is going to be impossible due to time constraints...I waited 2 months to be seen and you're going to cut my appointment short because of your negligence? End result came out fine. She ended up giving me partial highlights and it looked way better than before. Plus, her prices are really affordable Second appointment, I told her specifically that I want the least damage as possible since it is pretty damaged as is. She ignores my requests and starts bleaching my hair then tones it caramel brown. Not much of an expert here, but I was able to achieve the same color with just regular hair dye? That wouldn't have cause as much damage as bleaching.. For this appointment, I also saw a deal on groupon. It says nothing about first time only customer or service restraints. When I presented the coupon she said it's not redeemable as she THINKS it is only for first time customers only. Such a BS but I am not complaining much as I got my money back through Groupon. Does she have good skills as a hair stylist? Yes I agree. She can work her magic with colors and balayage. I don't know about any other services. She is not that great with cutting hairs tho. I went to this salon with Samantha. This was my second time getting my hair done bye her. The first time it was fine I really liked it so I had the trust to go back to her and get what I wanted next. She did something completely different than what I wanted. I asked for black and silver balyage but instead dyed my entire hair orange and yellow. She saw that I was not content with my hair and she claimed that she couldn't do anything more to fix it. She then offered me to come back next time and she would give me a discount. The first time Glenda did my hair she double booked me because she forgot that I made that appt with her...and I made it a month in advance. She worked me in but seemed like she was rushing thru it. I wanted mocha colors so she highlighted all of my hair first then dyed it after to get the color I was looking for and did a good job so I thought I would give her another try. When she touched up my hair the colors didn't even match, she touched up the highlights but just on the top of my head and just the roots so I have these blonder sections that are about 3 inches long. Please do in-depth research on who is doing your hair. It took me a long time to write down this review, and I really didn't want to do it but I know I am not the only one. I had a change of heart. They are unprofessional, cheats, ripoffs.!!! The Owner is super unprofessional, swears by her business and customers but doesn't make the people representing her brand, and name comply with what is fair. I do give them one thing tho, they cover each other's slack really good!! Dao ruined my hair! And she never returned my money!!! Let me refrained that, she gave me a check and then canceled it after I deposited, making even more charges on my Bank account!!! I initially called to book and appointment with Glenda but the "Owner Dao" said that Glenda was booked, and that to trust her that she would do a really good job. I took her word going by the pictures posted on yep. My appointment was on September 14 at 10:30am. I explained what I wanted, and my hair type and past experiences with bleach. and she assured me she knew what she was doing, I TRUSTED HER and she lied to me ,and what was worst she allowed me to pay her and leave with out telling me anything. I get to my car and I see the damage, I walk back inside and she immediately knows and admits she did something wrong and tells me she will fix it. But Doesn't!! Not only do I walk out of there disappointed, but I never get my hair fixed. It really isn't fair that we place our trust on people that should know what they are doing and at the end of the day it's all about $$$, customer service isn't a priority any longer, and it shouldn't be that way. She is by far the best colorist and stylist I have ever had touch my hair. I bought a Groupon for this place so I was a little afraid of what I was getting into but since my hair was already messed up I took a chance. When I walked in I asked for the person that I had been texting with since I never asked for the name, a gentlemen stands up and let's me know I was a little late, Lol I had texd him but he didn't see it. he took me in anyway and the groupon was for a wash,cut and style. Hang is truly a mani-pedi specialist. My favorite manicure color was red shellac. I changed to holographic chrome. All the colors of the rainbow just radiate in the light. Beautiful. My feet are very sensitive. She takes care to soak, use herbal scrubs and oil, and really get rid of the hardened areas. Such a good feeling.
