Absolutely in love with my haircut! I came across this salon through an instagram ad. I've been looking for a hair dresser that has more experience in Korean hair styles. I called yesterday and requested an appointment for anybody Korean and i got so lucky to end up with Noah! He told me he just came from Korea (which made me very happy because it meant he was up to date to all the trends). He definitely understood the assignment and gave me the style i had requested. AHHH! All I can say is, I am in absolute love with my hair. It has been about 1.5 months since my first visit for a haircut and balayage and my hair is still looking amazing. As a first time mom, I was way overdue for a hairdo and salon Aveo did NOT disappoint. I didn't know exactly what I needed to get done, so I booked a consultation with Claire. She listened to what I wanted and I showed her pictures and she was able to squeeze me in for an appointment about 2 weeks later. During my appointment, I got the best haircut of my life (seriously, I absolutely love it). Claire is amazing. And I also got my balayage highlights. The first time it was a little too bright but they didn't hesitate to offer a re-do to darken it for free. I absolutely loved it and have gotten balayage again yesterday. Blondes and European ladies stay away from this place! I have been in few hair places before and never ended up with complete disaster. First of all I needed to trim my hair just 1/2 inch and Shawn decided to trim 1 and 1/2 inch instead and in addition he layered my hair mostly in the back and on the top. Nobody does it on thin hair like mine. The results are awful and I only can wear very short ponytail after his haircut. Then I needed the color refresher mostly roots and half highlights in the back of my head . CK the colorist did not know how to preserve the rest of my highlights and overtones my buttery blond hair to brassy and dull medium blond . The roots were done ok. I think he decided to use the permanent color instead the toner. It is 10 days after the treatment and the color is still brassy and dirty blond. My hair are overtoned to much darker color. They don't listen and have communication issues with customers . They do whatever just to get paid and make profits. The prices are high and not adequate to the their level of service. read more

I decided to try this salon after having gone to the same lady to get my hair colored for literally 2 decades. I am happy to say I am not sorry at all. The salon itself is super cute and clean. When I initially called to schedule my appt, the girl who scheduled me was very helpful and scheduled me for a longer slot since I was planning on getting a slew of different things done to my hair. She took I think a $45 deposit, which seems very fair to me. When I arrived, I had to wait maybe 10 minutes for CK to finish another client, this was no problem at all, if you roll into any salon and expect to never have to wait, you're just an impatient ahole lol CK is super nice and knowledgeable. He understood what I wanted/needed, I have a ton of greys that I needed to cover so badly, while also wanting some color, so I got balayage done for the first time, while he also covered all of the greys. Let me tell you, you are in GOOD hands w CK. He knows what he's doing and is a coloring magician. Also, Jackie washed my hair and gave me such a glorious scalp massage. And then at one point, I had both CK and Jackie blow drying my hair, truly felt like a Queen lol Jackie curled my hair for me and CK even gave me a free argon oil for having come on a referral. This is my new salon for hair coloring!! I feel lucky to have found this spot w these amazingly talented ppl who provide the best service. I have long hair that I have not styled in a long while I asked to keep the length but add texture - I got it colored with new layers. My hair is pretty dark and I wanted a subtle balayage done, and the color came out perfect! A nice caramel amber that's suitable for the fall. He pricing is pretty reasonable given the quality of work they provide. I booked an appointment for a Korean hair straightening treatment which includes Japanese straightening + keratin treatment. Noah convinced me that my hair was in a good condition and it would be a waste to pay extra for the keratin. I assumed it was a true professional suggestion and agreed to just go with Japanese straightening alone. He was in a rush right from the beginning. The way he dried my hair was unnecessarily fast, harsh and tugging my hair (I stopped him and asked him to be gentle). That's when I knew my hair was definitely going to end up bad because of his utter carelessness. He started ironing my hair and I could see my hair was fried at the bottom. I asked him if he still believes that keratin is not required for which he started ranting about how he misjudged and might have made a mistake. He finished ironing and applied the neutralizer in less than 5 minutes. He just asked me to lie on the sink and he poured the neutralizer on my head. THAT'S IT. I have had this process done at least 6 times before. They always take their time to apply the neutralizer section by section. Noah just didn't care at this point. It was evident that he wanted me out and get to whatever he had waiting for him. Extremely unprofessional. Why bother accepting an appointment on a Sunday if the salon can't offer a good service. I would have happily rescheduled. At this point my hair is in a bad condition and he knew it too! He finally just said the only solution is to chop off my hair!!!! I didn't know what to do and I didn't want to step outside in such a bad condition. I left the salon with 3 inches of my hair cut off! Worst of all ... my first wash after 48 hours - some part of my hair is still curly at the roots and the bottom extremely frizzy! This has been absolutely traumatizing. Such a waste of my money, time and energy. I request the salon to only allow true professionals to perform such intensive treatments. read more

You know your hair stylist is great when they have great hair. Shawn is my hair stylist and he is amazing! Not to mention, he also looks like a celebrity with that head of hair. I was tired of the lack of quality in my previous stylists, but I knew Shawn was a keeper after one haircut with him. Not only was his sense of style on point, he delivered EXCELLENT customer service. I'm always greeted with a smile, promptly tended to, and even when it's a busy day, Shawn does NOT rush your hair appointment - he takes time with his craft. To give some perspective, I usually like to style my hair to what's trendy. My hair is thick, short, and asian AF. When it grows out after a while, it turns into a poofy, black cotton ball but Shawn doctored my hair to look like I was going to be featured in the next vogue. He knows hair. Salon Aveo has a cozy and warm atmosphere, and is filled with an even more warm and welcoming staff. Based on all of the positive reviews, I scheduled a haircut. The person who washed my hair did not wash the back of my head, hair, or neck. I was ushered to the stylist's chair and waited another 10 minutes. I really liked how the stylist next to me had cut her patrons' hair and I was hoping for the same outcome. I was very disappointed. The cut itself was ok, but midstream, the stylist excused themself and went to help another stylist blow dry that patron's hair. Two stylists for one blow dry? My stylist came back, did a bit more drying, and said "What do you think?" There was no styling at all. No product, no curling iron, not a thing extra. I said the hair was very frizzy. The stylist got the manager and said we can style for additional money. The haircut was $60. Why charge extra for finishing the appointment? Disorder and disappointment. i come here to get my hair cut regularly, but today i came in to get my hair colored. i am so so so impressed and obsessed with the way my hair came out!!
