I personally don't have the capacity to call a place on five different occasions and fight for an appointment to save a few pennies. Reviews on Yelp are mostly for the keratin treatment. A monkey could do that (I went to beauty school and worked for salons all through my childhood). There are zero reviews on highlighting Indian hair. I was so excited to give this place a chance. The salon was clean and I was made to feel welcome when I arrived. During my whole experience, from having my hair washed to cut to styled, the stylist took a great deal of care to make sure that I felt comfortable and at ease. She was highly skilled and precise. My hair was cut exactly as I had requested and the stylist checked 3 times to ensure that all of the ends were even before my appointment was finished. She charged me the full blonde session (balayage) fee plus $50 toner although I only had the partial balayage and it was okay for me. But to my surprise, when I was paying, she charged me another $90 for the extra products which she said 3 bowls of extra dye because my hair is so thick...what? I went to some hair salons & I was never charged for that plus my hair is not that thick! I was so disappointed of her. She charged me $421 (including my $79 deposit) less the root touch up coz I decided not to have it anymore. I felt like I was taken advantage. Will never go back! ***Response to the owner: You didn't discuss about the extra product that is $90! You only told me when I was about to pay. Yes, I decided not to have the root touch up anymore and was hoping I will pay less but I ended up paying more because of your extra charge. The partial custom blonde session you charged me $202 + $79 deposit = $281. I know toner is included in the price. The extra product you clearly said because my hair is so thick. My gray hair were still visible and to the point that I went to the other salon to have it root touched up coz it looks bad...that was my bad coz I decided not to get it but hoping root smudge will help. Anyway, my main complaint is the $90 extra product which you clearly told me was for the "3 bowls" of products which I understood for the extra color. Over all, I was not satisfied of your service. I paid $421 plus 15% tip! And look at my hair Please don't say I was lying here! On my first review, I meant you charged me the full blonde session fee although I will only get the partial blonde and that was fine with me...I never complain about the price.
