The absolute worst haircut my child has ever gotten. I've gone here before and it's been ok but this was so awful. First I called on a Friday asking for a haircut for the next day. They said they had availability but when I got to the salon, my appointment was actually scheduled for 2 weeks later. I should've taken this as a sign to just leave and get it done somewhere else. My daughter's hair was originally past her waist. The stylist cut probably 6 inches off. I told her about 2. She cut the first 2 inches and then without saying a word started cutting more. She spoke very little English and basically said it was uneven. It was not 4 inches uneven!! She asked if I wanted curls and I said no so instead without asking again put my child's hair in this braid style which I would never do. She used men's gel so my daughter's hair stinks. She put the braid style in to cover up the botched hair in the front. I also never part my child's hair in the middle. I asked for her hair to be cut all one length just a little trim. In the photos, it might look like this is layers, but it's not this is just a really terrible haircut. My daughter BARELY moved the whole haircut. For a 3 year old she did really well. I'm so disappointed in her hair. It was so long and beautiful and it's totally ruined. I'm going to have to find another stylist to fix this. I will NEVER COME BACK! Also I've always paid for the haircuts up front at their register. But immediately when the cut was done the stylist was asking if I had cash. When I said no, she seemed super annoyed and got out her phone and even though she told me the price was $35 she tried to charge me $38.50 and tried to say it was tax but usually they include the tax into the total $35 price. When I pointed this out, she got even more annoyed and then changed the price to $30 and then I ended up paying $33 with the tax. I feel so scammed and sad about my daughter's hair. read more

I came in hoping for an ash blonde with highlights and was told we would work toward that goal. The initial color removal was actually done well. However, there was no test strand or pre-filling of my porous hair before applying toner and then permanent color. When the ash toner was applied, it turned purple/gray instead of achieving the intended tone. At that point, I was told we "had to go medium brown" instead, rather than being offered other options or a clearer explanation of alternatives. The final permanent color was applied over unbalanced porosity and took very unevenly, resulting in a reddish-brown outcome that is very far from my original goal. I was not given meaningful choices at that stage, just told the direction had changed. I was charged a partial amount for the service. After reaching out to the owner, my concerns were initially denied and I was again offered only a partial refund. I also offered photos to help clarify what happened, but they were not reviewed. I'm now left with a warm reddish-brown result I did not want, and my hair is too compromised to safely correct without going even darker. While I appreciated the initial color removal work, the lack of testing, limited consultation during the correction process, and poor follow-through on resolving the outcome made this a disappointing experience. read more

The stylist I got was obviously inexperienced. She cut a foot off my hair when I asked for a 3 inch trim. She said it was "because she was short". She was supposed to layer it once trimmed but she missed an entire quadrant of my hair. I had to go to another stylist to check the cut because it looked bad. The other stylist said that she could not figure out what the hell she was trying to do. So she wound up having to cut off even more to fix the chopped mess I was forced to endure for several weeks before I got in with a reputable stylist. read more

Apparently they charge you A La Carte but it isn't anywhere mentioned on their website. Also don't go over prices when you come in as a new client. So when you go in for a typical hair update of highlights and cut. Tell you it's over $500 when they are done. You are sick to your stomach at being totally unaware that businesses are run like this. Not even satisfied with your so called end result. Just pissed off and sick to your stomach that you got scammed. They need to be more upfront with customers. read more

My poor mom went to go get a haircut here from Ana the other day which was scheduled and Ana didn't even have her on her schedule but the other hair stylist there remembered that my mom had scheduled an appointment. Ana just completely forgot. It's almost as if she purposely butchered my moms hair. Although they did offer to fix it but I told my mom not to go back and found my mom another hair stylist. Can't say enough good things about this place. I have a few grays that I get covered up but old stylist wouldn't listen to me and kept using jet black dye making my natural brown/red/blonde/black hair look sun damaged. Stylist just saw dark dark hair with some grays and agreed to do a "lift" (removing old dye if they could as opposed to bleaching, which I didn't want, and was sure to set expectations that I had almost black hair, so the lift might not do much, and to expect several sessions to get it to the color I wanted. My stylist expertly put me at ease and went to work to try to give me what I wanted (my natural color back with covering up the few grays I do have). She took her time, was relaxed and happy and not annoyed or pessimistic at all. We had a good time. Once it was time to was the product out of my hair to see if it was able to lift the old jet black dye, viola! I looked in the mirror and my natural color was back! Everyone was surprised and I felt so much better. She then went on to expertly cut my incredibly long hair, add some layers and thin it (I asked, she said it was a good idea), and then straightened my hair after the blow dry which is always a treat given how thick my hair is. The price was incredibly reasonable, and I am forever grateful to this stylist after having a bad week/month/year. I went in tired and defeated, hoping for a "decent" cut and covering the grays I do have, and left looking like my old self, and in such a great mood. I highly recommend Salon Bellarosa. They make sure to manage expectations while expertly doing their best to achieve the results you want, and never roll their eyes, sigh with exasperation, or try to talk you out of it. Requested a blowout, got a very short wash and then proceeded to sit under a hairdryer for over an hour while they attempted to use a flat brush. Left with frizzy (still wet somehow) hair. Waste of money - very poor quality of services. Salon was nice in general, but had a really terrible experience. How hard could a blow out be? Won't be back. read more

Keep an eye out for inconsistencies with pricing. The owner will "sometimes" charge you for trim with your hair coloring (her words). Their services list $45 for shampoo and cut. I didn't ask for a haircut she talked me into it because she said it was better for my hair. She trimmed my hair. Trimmed. Took maybe 5 minutes total and proceeded to charge me $45 for shampoo and haircut. Wasn't I going to get shampoo anyway because I am paying $195 for partial foil? This is my 4th time coming to this salon getting a similar service and the only time I've been charged separately for haircut. Also not the first time I've been charged incorrectly at this location based on their own services listed on their website. It's unprofessional and inconsistent. read more

I came to this salon location simply because of Ivan! I actually got him on accident to do my hair one day over a year ago at his last location and it was the best accident to happen to me! Ivan always does the best work! I love that I can give him any hair idea and he can put his own spin on it and it comes out even better than you expect!
