I've embraced the idea of going to a Salon rather than a Barber Shop. For the past few months I've been letting my hair grow, unsure of what style I would like. I then noticed a new Salon popped up right where I live!! So I figured I would give this place a try. I walked in & was greeted by two receptionists, they said it was very busy. However, they told me to stay and they would try to figure out if someone could cut my her. I had to wait a little bit, it was ok because they served bagels! Within 20 mins my hair was getting washed & shortly after I was in Helen's chair. I really liked her personality right away. You could tell she was confident and was doing this a long time. She made me realize that my hair was meant for so much more than it was before! So Freakin Cool, love my hair and her fancy scissor game! She did recommend that I come back in 3 weeks to keep this new style because its shorter. I did end up buying a hair gel that she recommended for 15 bucks, which I'm sure will last me the year! Thank You Salon Beyond!!!!! I live in Manhattan but spend half the week on Long Island. First I went to a different salon in the area which was suppose to be some fancy high end salon and received nothing but the bottom of the barrel. However, lucky me I came across Salon Beyond one day and had been meaning to get a haircut so I called and they squeezed me in same day with Lauren. Like I tell every stylist, I am a slight diva for a dude just because I have a look I like to maintain and want my hair to look a certain way. Lauren spent the time talking to me and learning what exactly I wanted my hair to look like as a finished product. It was truly an amazing experience. Lauren literally spent 10 minutes with me going through the pictures I had and showing me on my head what she will do and literally soaking in what I wanted. The finished product was perfect!!!!!!!! When I stepped into Salon Beyond I was greeted with very friendly smiles . I immediately felt as though I was going to the Salon for a very long time . Being a woman of color,I am very particular about my hair . Tammy made a good impression on me from the first introduction . Hi There All Iam a mother of a very picky teenage daughter, who never likes to get a haircut. She always wants to keep it so long , down to her lower back. We came to Salon Beyond and saw a lovely hairdresser by the name of Chrissy. She was very sweet and helped to me to convince my daughter she needed more than just her ends cut off. Chrissy gave her a very stylish long bob sort of haircut. Thank god she ended up loving it. My daughter even ended up thanking me and hugging me!! We booked our next appointment with chrissy for an Updo style for prom in 2 weeks, and we will be trying out getting makeup done , as part of a prom special. Im very excited to go back there and see more great work!! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this salon!! form the moment I walk in to the relaxing massaging shampoo and one of the best hair cuts I have ever received by Lauren. I am a man and I am very particular with my hair. she spent time talking to me about what I was looking for and then truly nailed it! she also mentioned to me while in her chair about their manicuring department and asked if I would like a pedicure, I decided to try it out. let me tell you men if you have never had a pedicure or think that's only for girls you have no idea what you are missing out on. I've been coming to Salon Beyond, after having had my hair done in the city for years. The staff is courteous and always does their best to fit me in. Nicole does an amazing job with cut, color and styling and really takes time to speak with you about what you want. She does great hair for bridal parties as well, as she is my go-to stylist for the 50 weddings I have been in. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I too will recommend Tammy!! I have very fine hair and wanted to try sewn in hair extensions, so a friend recommended this stylist to me an i called an made an appointment for a consultation. When I arrived at the salon I had second thoughts after seeing Tammy was African American. She was openly friendly an greeted me at the reception desk with a warm welcome, she then lead me into a room where we privately discussed the procedures for my hair installation. Finally, a place with an incredible staff and reasonable prices in Carle Place. I recently went there for the first time and was blown away by my stylist Trisha. She was incredible with doing exactly what i wanted. Honestly, my hair has never looked better. I can't wait hear the compliments at the office tomorrow! I live in the neighborhood and this is my go to place for a blowout. They always accomodate my appointment needs. Tammy, Justin and Lauren have blown out my hair; each doing a great job. I get so many compliments.
