Absolutely wonderful! While Linda did my grandmas hair, my mom and myself had our eyebrows dyed and facials done in the Spa. Marissa did my facial and it was superb!! She was so kind and meticulous while she talked me through every step, making sure I was comfortable. Jasmine did our brows and my moms facial. Our brows look amazing and my mom was so pleased by her facial and Jasmine's level of customer service. Once we were done we went to see my grandma's finished cut and color and we were shocked, Linda did an amazing job!! Especially judging from the before photo. I got my nails done here and first of all the girl that was doing my nails said " I should have turned you away with the kind of gel you have on your nails" but she proceeded and then said. " we aren't supposed to use this tool the drill to shave my gel off" they are a "spa" not a nail tech. Then finished up and the paint job was terrible. A week later my gel fell off and some of my nails came with it. My nails are paper thin, bleeding, peeling off and constantly in pain. They should not use tools that they are trained on. read more

My review is solely on the skin care that they offer in their spa. I have been a fan of Glymed Plus brand, and the boutique I used to purchase it in Washington state went out of business. Now that I have found this location, I make it a point to go there at the beginning of our trip so that I can pick up my skin care products. I had an issue with a different product that I picked up. Upon opening of the box, I noticed that the lid was broken. As it was an oil for the face, I called the spa the next morning to let them know about the container. The lady that was helping me the night before was the one who answered the phone. It was a smooth conversation on the phone as well as when I walked into the spa to do the exchange. Now if only Glymed Plus would make AHA accelerator in a 3oz container so I can get it on the plane. read more

In response to my review, of Sept 10, 2011, a Pat Thomas, of Salon Dante called me today, Oct. 28, 2021. This was the interaction . "Hi, Bonnie. This is Pat Thomas from Salon, Daunte Spa. I tried texting you but it wouldn't work and I do need to speak to you just as soon as it is possible. So please return my call. Thank you bye." I texted Pat Thomas, a representative of Salon Dante back, and told him I was busy.  I said that I would not take down my review . I suspected he wanted to talk to me about my review. He texted me back and said the following which I have on record.  His response was completely inappropriate and childish . "It really doesn't matter to US rather you take it down or not.   WE  have developed a very good reputation for 60 years and I am sure you're not going to hurt us by your comments.   It sounds like you are just upset because you were turned down by the best permanent make up artist in Utah.  You are only making a full of yourself and people are laughing at you."    ........Pat Thomas , Representative of Salon Dante    Oct. 28, 2021 This is the bullying comment of a very immature person. A client complains because the Salon Dante worker was not vaccinated and had refused to wear a mask, after being  offered a N95 mask . Her response was that " I might want to go else where. " What makes this even worse, is the daughter of the owners of Salon Dante, Kim Huber, who does permanent makeup there, knows  my husband has only 25% lung capacity. I've gone to her for maybe 20 years + .   I have to be very careful where I go and what I do. My husband is very ill.  So, if the owners or management of Salone Dante had this Pat Thomas call me to remove my review, it makes this even worse. My husband's life is at risk due to this COVID. Even with 3 vaccines, we can't be too careful.  The immaturity and inappropriateness of his comment is more than repugnant. read more

Received the gift certificate from a friend for a massage. When I went in for the massage I specifically explain to the front desk and to the masseuse that I did not want a deep tissue massage. I felt the deep tissue massages though felt good at the time later on you ended up being very sore and sometimes immobile. Sure enough I had to stop her and advise her it was too deep she found other areas and applied way too much pressure. It felt ok at the time however the next morning I was barely able to get out of bed and standing was extremely difficult. My lower back and glutes were on fire and spasms were off and on. I called and was given a very rude person who didn't seem to care. Do not go here read the other reviews. Be wary of deep tissue massages. They feel good at the time but you may have days of risidual pain not worth it. I just noticed I have bruises on my lower back. read more

I had my lashes tinted by Marissa at salon Dante and I am extremely disappointed with them! I asked Marissa to use dark brown, NOT black as black makes my eyes appear smaller and dark brown really opens them up, (exact words!) which is why I tint my lashes, to make my eyes look bigger. Marissa used BLACK anyway and my eyes look much smaller now. She also did not get the tint all the way to the roots so I have patches of blond lashes showing and they look awful! I called salon Dante to let them know I was not happy and asked how to correct this and also asked for a refund. They would not refund my money and said I would just have to wait for them to lighten over time. Really??? I will NEVER go to salon Dante EVER again, and Marissa should be fired! read more

From my first phone call with receptionist, Marcy, to my massage with Debbie, then a hair cut and pedicure with Andrea,,, the entire experience was awesome!!! Marcy was so friendly, helpful and accomodating. Debbie provided the theraputic massage that I so desperately needed! The back spa area is relaxing, clean and inviting. I loved the robe and shower option. I was so pleased to be able to get a hair cut and pedicure the same day! Andrea was able to give me just the cut I was looking for - so pleased with the results! Had a pedicure, which was lovely but when i tried to use a gift card purchased in December 2019 they didn't want to accept because it was more than one year old. Evidently they were open during the pandemic so I could have come in to use it! They did let me use the gift card, but only if I gave them the card. Tegan did a great job! I've asked stylist for Layers before and gave specific examples of what I wanted and never got anything close to what I was looking for. This time I simply asked for layers and mentioned i wanted it fun for when I curl my hair and just left it at that. I was stunned when she was done, I magically had the layers I wanted and I didn't even have to explain hardly anything! I got a chance to tour the spa area and it is gorgeous! What a horrible experience for my wife and I. First her apt there was 4 hrs of hell. She finally had to just leave or she would never get out. Then I spoke to the owner (Pat) and was promised a refund of half the expensive service which was nowhere near satisfactory to their guest. I have since spoken to a few other employees on the phone and via facebook. With each new attempt to get help I felt that person would buy I am still waiting. My refund was never processed and my calls are ignored. I will gladly delete this and any other negative reviews if they do what they promised and what is right. read more

I had an amazing day spa experience top to bottom! The receptionist was friendly and efficient. The facilities were lovely and spa-like with robes, sandals, lockers and necessities. Offerings of grapes, crackers and citrus water in the cozy, plush-couch, fireplace heated waiting room were welcoming. Three lovely lovely ladies who performed a 60-minute Swedish massage, a facial, and a mani/pedi were all so personable and made me feel so well-taken care of throughout the day. I don't even live in the state but I will make a point to come back to this spa if I am ever in the vicinity again. You can tell the staff loves what they do and like each other and where they work. This is absolutely the best spa I've ever been to! I did a package with several treatments, and each treatment was wonderful. The therapists are excellent, every person you see smiles warmly at you, the relaxation room is cozy and luxurious and has light refreshments, it was all very clean and they are worth absolutely every penny! I called in to get a facial and I was able to get in within the hour. From the outside and when I first walked in, I wasn't expecting much. But, after walking through the spa doors - I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist gave me a robe and some slippers and lead me to the restroom where they had a shower area. After getting changed I was instructed to wait in the lounge room - it was nice and cozy, comfy couches, nice and warm from the fireplace, and lemon-water. Kizzy then led me to our room. It's been a while since I got a facial and it was my first time getting an extraction. Kizzy asked me what I wanted to focus on and anything she should know about my skin before we got started. My treatment was wonderful - I wouldn't exactly say it was relaxing (anybody who has ever gotten an extraction knows that it's pretty painful) But, it was a great experience. Kizzy was knowledgeable and very professional. We were running a little over on time and instead of cutting my treatment short, Kizzy excused herself for a minute to let the front desk know that we were running a little over our time. I was very impressed by this! I've had experiences where I don't get to finish a treatment because we ran short on time so I really appreciated this! I've only been here once but I am definitely planning on going back and bringing some friends and family along. I want to try out a massage and their waxing services! read more

This place is amazing. Clean, relaxing, & accommodating. The owner Patti truly knows the definition of customer satisfaction. Cara is a brow MASTER! She's done my eyelash tint, brow tint, & waxing. She also does facials. Tara's massages and scrubs are amazing. Best massage I've ever had. The prices are reasonable and the lowest I've found around. I've been there twice. The customer service and professionalism at Salon Dante is appalling. I purchased a gift card for a friend and because of COVID-19, she was unable to use it by the expiration date. She called and the front desk receptionist specifically told her they were being "very lenient" and would let her use it whenever because of the pandemic. When she tried to redeem it, they said the front desk receptionist was wrong and they would not let her use it. I called because as the customer, I wanted to be able to redeem the product that I purchased. They questioned me on why she wasn't comfortable coming in when they had elderly customers comfortable using the spa; said she and I weren't "regular customers" so they wouldn't be lenient (do they have two policies? I think all customers should be treated with the same respect); said we should understand that people make mistakes (i.e. the front desk employee) and we should let it go that he misinformed us about the gift card policy and would not honor what they said; said they already spent the gift card money I purchased and couldn't afford to give the service purchased now. Then, the manager said she would call me, the customer back, and it's been 3 days with no word. They were incredibly rude, unprofessional, harsh about people's comfort level during a global pandemic; called into question how many times I'd actually used the salon; wouldn't acknowledge their mistake and make it right--all over ONE gift card. I've bought several gift cards in the past because I actually liked the salon but will never go back and will tell all six people who I've referred to the salon about my terrible experience with their staff. It's unfortunate because the services were great and we really liked a specific therapist. However, because the management was so rude, we won't be returning. Possibly the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I'd give negative stars if I could. read more

And left with the same hair I went in with and $105 wasted, on my birthday and with my birthday money!! Aparently when you say you want to have a light brown hair color it means RED. and aparently blow drying hair is not imporant there either. My stylsit was completly untrained. and half an hour late. The salon reminded me of going to like great clips or some chezy salon of that nature. the staff were completly oblivious and untrained. Oh yeah and the price is never what it means. she had told me oh no we dont have to mix any extra color for you. and ended up charging me 115$ needless to say SHE DID NOT get a tip from me. I went in for a mani pedi and it is the worst. mani pedi. ever. The facilities are nice but my technician didn't do a good job. She didn't use a base coat on my fingers, only used a single coat of polish on toes, and both big toes are royally smudged. I'm just going to have to redo the polish job myself. I love the spa at Salon Dante! I have been there several times to get body wrap/detoxes and facials. The staff are wonderful, they are sweet and gentle and it's so relaxing! I love to sit in the quiet room and read after my treatments, the ambience and decor is fabulous. Their treatments are always wonderful, I have never had a complaint about anything I have had done there. I am not giving the place five stars because the one time I was in the area and did a "walk in" bang trim, the girl just barely cut my bangs (they needed to be trimmed again a week later) and charged me $10 since I was not her usual client. Not a fan of that! But the spa is my happy place! read more

Went after a rough day of skiing. They arranged for five massages last minute. We were welcomed to the facility, with robes, a warm cozy room with fluffy couches to rest on. Snacks and lemon ice water provided. Massage was one of the most relaxing i've had and the table is moderately heated, which Ive never experienced before! So nice. Staff were extremely friendly, too. It was a major. I've been going from salon to salon trying to get my hair back to normal, Finally Salon Dante got it. They know what they're doing when it comes to color. They were very professional and really educated me on how important it is to be patient when dealing with colored after colored hair like mine!! I wish I would have went here to begin with. It's well worth it to just have them do it. The shampoo and scalp massage was beyond amazing and it was awesome to have my feet up in their reclining chair. My husband was able to get a haircut for our wedding, he was nervous trying someone new but it turned out great and he was able to get a hot shave. Now I have to bring him to salon Dante' whenever I go!! They made us feel like king and queen. Great salon feel, great work and great people there. read more

I went in to Salon Dante for a pedicure and absolutely loved it! A couple weeks later, I took a group of us to get pampered and it was amazing! We have decided to make this a tradition around the holidays when all of us are together. The spa/salon is very clean, the staff is fabulous and so much fun! Came to UT from AZ and very last minute my mom and I decided on, for her massage, for me pedi. They got us in within 15 minutes of when we called. I was brought back through the dim lit, relaxing spa entry and into their pedi room. The seats are very cush and the water was perfect (with temp control on the chair remote) - scent of essential oils in the room. They have curtain dividers btwn chairs if you want more privacy - which I enjoyed. Becca got me some water and a plate of grapes and crackers; she was awesome and did a great job!! I received the basic package ($40) and it was perfect and didn't lack in pampering - I chose a gray purple for my toes and once a couple nails were done, asked if I still liked the color (wow a+), because I did think it was a little ho hum. She picked out some beautiful in season colors which turned out perfect! I can't speak for the hair stylists but in reading another review, I'm not sure why you would still go to a salon for yrs if you never made a connection or weren't happy with their work. My experience was terrible. I was quoted a price for a weave. The front desk girl over the phone told me it would be $75. I told her i have long thick hair and she still told me the same price. So i scheduled the appt. When i got there, the girl was new and didn't know what she was doing. I had bleach DRIPPING out of the foils on my face and in one of my eyes. I was charged $140 when i was done. I told her that wasn't what she quoted me and they were rude and told me I had to pay the full $140. I paid it and left, super irritated. That night, my scalp started itching. I felt my head and there was pus and blood on my fingertips. My husband looked at my scalp and they didn't wash all the product out and it burnt my scalp. The left side of my head looked like my hair had been growing out for 2 months. I called several times to talk to the owner and she never returned my calls for about a week. I walked in there to talk to her and she was so rude. She told me it was imposible and that there was no way they burned my scalp. She refused to give me any money back as well.
