Anthony Scott is my man! He is incredible, he moved to this salon and I followed along. The staff is very friendly, every time I come in they are quick to get me something to drink and make sure I'm comfortable. The salon is very clean and hip. The room where they wash hair is very comfortable and relaxing. Anthony always provides the most incredible washes/massages. He gave me a hair treatment and brought me champagne while it soaked, he is wonderful. My cuts are always perfect and I love how he styles it after, most the time I get picky with the way hairstylists style since it's different than how I do it. I booked my daughters hair appointment weeks ago. When we went in tonight I was surprised by the $200 price for a trim and to bleach 3 sections of hair with Alyssa but I was willing to pay it. The owner Phillip came over to me and told me they were refusing service because they felt like they couldn't make me happy. Rylie is a true artist! I came in as a new client not really knowing what I wanted and left with exactly what I wanted!! Rylie transformed my hair from drab and way too long to beautiful and flattering! It had been 1 year and 3 months without any styling/color/highlights (due to Covid). It was obvious that Rylie loves what she does and is an expert with color and cutting!! My hair feels so soft and airy. Every single part of this experience was excellent! I reached a live person when I called to make the appointment, so I was able to ask questions and was a lot more comfortable with my decision to go with this salon. The environment is amazing (and set up for maximum social distancing). The scalp massage during the hair washing was so soothing and the best I have had. I was offered a variety of beverages a couple of times while I was there. I appreciated the mix of good conversation and silence. I went in for a brazillian, underarm, and brow wax and waited for 30 minutes after my appointment time to even be acknowledged by my stylist. The wax was uncomfortably hot, and the method of waxing and the wax used was very painful and i had to get into uncomfortable positions. I have never had a more painful and uncomfortable waxing experience. I will definitely be going back to my old salon for all waxing services. read more

Unfortunately my experience with the salon wasn't that great even though I was hoping it would be. The stylist I got didn't listen to me or even care about the type of hair I have. He cut it and colored it the way he wanted to, not the way I asked. The last time was the clincher. I wanted highlights to accent my natural red hair and instead he did bright blonde. Then didn't even bother to cut my hair, he was in a hurry. Sadly now I am afraid to go back and have to try and find a different salon. In the meantime my hair looks horrible. read more

Phil does the best hair in SLC. He is pricey but totally worth every penny..if you can sit through the way they talk to each other. I can only give 2 stars because the way they sometimes talk during the service is so unprofessional and I'm really quite embarrassed for them. I'm no prude and that talk has its place, but I feel like I've walked into a high school cafeteria. It says something about them if they so willingly speak so crass in front of new clients. I referred a friend and although the haircut was superb she was so turned off by the way they spoke she wont go back. This is the best find in my lifetime and Cassie is the best stylist I've ever had. Period. In my case she doesn't have much to work with so it's all the more impressive! She has a naturally discerning eye and can can see what will work best and executes it flawlessly. Cassie is also one of the most genuine people I've ever met and I feel completely relaxed and confident. The salon is easily overlooked driving by, but inside it's a good feeling and very welcoming, including on the phone. The stylists obviously enjoy their work and their clients and that contributes to an upbeat atmosphere. The crowd is generally younger, and I'm not, but I don't feel out of place at all. I just moved to Salt Lake City temporarily and was worried that I might not find a salon I would like out here. Being from New England, I'm pretty set in my ways and used to things just so. So far the easiest part of my transition out here has been finding Phillip William Salon and never wanting to go back to my old salon at home! I read the yelp reviews and figured I couldn't go wrong here. I called in and was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to book an appointment. I scheduled a cut & color with Phillip and was blown away with the results. My hair feels so healthy, the color is better then ever before, and the cut is flawless. I am such a picky girl when it comes to haircuts/color. I have had sooo many bad experiences. What really set Phil apart from other stylists i've had before was that he knows more about hair then anyone i've ever met. Not just what makes it healthy, etc. But truly the science of how your hair grows, what not to do, etc. Coming from New England he even warned me about the dry environment here and told me some things to do at home to make sure my hair gets as much moisture as possible. I cannot wait to go back in April for my next appointment. It seemed like everyone working there was truly happy to be there. I saw alot of clients coming and going all greeted by name and truly taken such good care of. A few days later I was asked via text to reschedule again as the stylist had emergency surgery. I called to cancel and the stylist that was supposed to be out answered the phone. I have a very, exceptionally hard time with color. I prematurely went grey and it is very stubborn. I tried Phillip William because I was really unhappy with my last color and cut. So far, so good! I've gone twice now and this is the first time in years that I actually like my hair. I see Phillip, and he spent a lot of time with me figuring out exactly what I was looking for. I completely trusted him by the time we actually did the cut. It's a comfortable salon with a great energy and seemingly happy personnel.
