I'm very picky on who does my eyebrows or cuts my hair. So I Yelped this place, good reviews. I'm still sitting in my car upset over my eyebrows. When the Asian lady with the brown painted eyebrows finished threading my eyebrows, she asked me if it was fine. I mentioned to her that she had taken a huge chunk of hair on my right brow. This stupid broad had the never on rolling her eyes. Then she went on trimming them with scissors which made it worse. She apparently was in a hurry because someone was waiting for her outside. Don't post that you close at 8 but are doing a shitty job of service because you are trying to go home. Its 7:30 and she's gone. You shouldn't get paid for shitty service. I took my grandmother here because we had a last minute event. She needed her hair curled (she has very very short hair). She came out trembling. They had charged her $60 for a quick style. Took basically all the money she had and the style wasn't very good. I got my nails done for way less. You would think to curl an old lady's SHORT hair would cost you $20-30 at most. $60 is ridiculous. I feel like they took advantage of her. read more

Prices are pretty up there, $200.00 for a cut and color. First, I have to say Ruby did my service and I absolutely loved the cut and color, she was sweet and attentive, if my review was based on her service alone I'd give 5 stars! But it wasn't, let's get to the owner (Lorraine). I understand the sole purpose of a salon is to sell services to customers but I didn't appreciate being insulted by her about my "aging skin" in-front of everyone in an attempt to sell her customized $250 facial. I understand that my skin is aging and that I probably needed the service but like most people I do not have an extra $250 per session! To fix my skin problems and I didn't appreciate it being pointed out so publicly. Not only that the front desk receptionist made a mistake with my credit card and they claim that I was refunded the price of the service which was $225, how can it be refunded when it was never charged to my account in the first place?! Then she had the nerve to ask me to repay the $225 for their mistake for a total of $425.00 for the service!!! Be careful they will try to charge your credit card without your permission. I had to lock my card! Shady business services all around! Ruby needs to move to a new salon! Shame on the owner!! Perhaps some customer service and professional business management training might be helpful. read more

The women at the front desk is very polite and professional and the other woman who did my eyebrows was kind and did her best to fix my eyebrows due to a terrible wax job from another place. Well, I have been using Eyelash Extension Strips for awhile. So I decided to try Eyelash Extensions, so I came here to try them out. I'm glad I did, I absolutely love the way they came out! This should of been my moms exciting moment at the salon but it was the complete opposite!! They made her feel so horrible..told her things to make her feel so bad about herself. went to this salon for Mother's Day. I have originally dark hair with grey starting. To defeat the grey I was going to go on and do all grey. So I go in show picture of grey I wanted. Savvy was my hairdresser. After a year of Covid I was so excited! My bad , I didn't ask for price. Savvy said we had to bleach my hair, I knew that would be. After she bleached my hair she said that I would have yo come back soon. Don't wait too long or I will have to bleach it again. One month later I pop in to set appointment to get the grey done. Savvy comes out looks at my hair and says she needs to bleach it! Now a month ago I paid $352 THATS right folks, $352 including the tip and $18 in eyebrow and lip wax! I almost DIED! Holy crap right!? My bad, didn't ask price. I thought MAYBE 200! It's all organic she said! I wanted to support a business in my town especially after Covid. This place learned me! Scammers! I will go to Sadies in Manteca where I have ALWAYS gone and KNOW I won't be scammed from a business 85 years old! So disappointed. When she told me she had to bleach again, w told her no I am out! I have mixed feelings about this place. I came here for the first time 2 years ago and they made my hair look fabulous! Whenever I dye my hair, I dye it Barbie blonde, and I thought they did a great job. I looked great for Vegas! It matched the party girl vibe but I still looked like a natural blonde. They use organic ingredients here so therefore it was more expensive than most places, but I was fine with it since they did such a good job. However, I came here for the second time and I was frustrated with my experience. I'll start from the beginning - for me, the "little things" in experiences matter. They demonstrate how much attention to detail is involved in selling the business's service. I woke up Saturday morning, feeling spontaneous, and said to my boyfriend, "I'm going to dye my hair blonde today!" I went to the salon which is styled cute on the inside. First, the younger woman working at the front didn't notice me - she was looking down at her phone. The woman in charge noticed me first, seeing that I wasn't being helped, and asked how she could help. Not too bad though. The younger woman then sternly asked me to take a seat and asked what I wanted. I explained that I wanted Barbie blonde and showed her pictures of what I wanted. She continued to ask which type of blonde I wanted, starting to speak with an impatient, slightly abrasive tone. I told her I wasn't sure how to describe the color of the blonde, but I gave her some imagery words, like buttery blonde. I told her I wanted it yellow but not brassy. She seemed confused on what to do. She spoke to the woman in charge and they conversed back and forth about which color they could give me. They were using hair dye vernacular that I couldn't understand: mix the C4 with the A1 or whatever... The woman in charge then said that in order to get my hair to process to that blonde, they would have to bleach it for $100 more. I got nervous, since I was only planning on spending under $150 like I did the first time. I asked if there was any way they could get me close to the blonde I wanted without bleaching. They both said yes, they could get my hair to process very close to the blonde I wanted. So I said sure, since I'm not too particular about my hair shade - as long as it's pretty-girl blonde. This was my mistake. They dyed my hair, and it came out orange. Ew! I looked like a pumpkin! So I said, "I don't know much about hair, but this ain't blonde." I know, I can be petty sometimes. I was feeling neurotic and disappointed. I was already paying over $100 for nasty hair. So I gave in and said, ok, I will pay the extra $100 for bleach, cuz this ain't it. She took four hours total on my hair. It was my fault that I didn't agree to the bleach in the first place, but she made it awkward by repeating over and over "if you would've let us do our job, you wouldn't have to pay extra and it wouldn't have taken this long". What an awkward statement to repeat to your customer! Of course I regretted even going, but it was strange that she kept bringing up how I wasted my money... it just gave me an unsettled feeling. Not to mention, the bleach smelled like a fart. Very sulfur-centric. But, she did correct my color for the most part, and she was proud of it too. Small annoyance: when another customer walked in, they were offered coffee and tea, but I wasn't and I had been there for 4 hours! A girl needs her caffeine! I know, I'm petty. Overall, the blonde did not turn out as fabulous as the dye I received 2 years ago (it was a bit brassy and old school 2000's-inspired highlights) but at least she was resourceful and did what she could with what she was given. I won't return because of the shotty work with achieving the blonde that I want and the burden on my wallet, but I'm sure it's nice for other colors and services. read more

I can't believe how low these reviews are. I have struggled with thick blonde peach fuzz on my face. Its very hard confidence wise. I know it could always be worse but I decided to treat myself to some me time. I got my face threading by Lorrain. Something I have never done, I have never waxed, never had my hair cut or died. I don't do salons and I was very scared to start but I have had it with my peach fuzz. Lorrain made me feel so comfortable, confident about myself and she was so genuine. I do not recommend this place for waxing services! The lady that waxed by eyebrows and upper lip literally look a layer of skin off the my right eyebrow and the right side of my upper lip, while STILL leaving hair! She said to let her know if I didn't like it, but she OBVIOUSLY did not know how to do her job. I didnt make a big deal about it, but I DID have to get my eyebrows redone somewhere else. I have not had a better hair cut in years! I like having my hair cut into a long wedge. Callie's finished work is perfection! I simply love it! This was the worst experience I've ever had, getting a hair cut. The lady that cut my hair was very unfriendly. She didn't even say hello or anything for that matter to my six year old son who came with me. He was very well behaved by the way. When she was doing my hair she was pulling it like crazy, and while brushing it she didn't even try to be careful not to hurt me. It looked the same way as a 3 year old brushing a dolls hair and was obviously no fun for me at all. Nobody talked to me until the very end when it was time to leave and I just felt super awkward and uncomfortable the whole time. Not to mention that she clearly knew nothing about my hair type. This salon is making claims that they are under cyber attack because people are posting rebiews thsr are not in their favor. I am not sure this business understands the definition of "cyber attack". This is NOT at all a cyber attack. This is what happens when you give extremely bad customer service, rude attitudes, inflict physical harm, and lie when there is plenty of proof that shows the truth. I work not far from here so about a month ago on my lunch brake, i did go in to this salon to get my hair cut. I was told they were too busy and I should make an appointment so I went down the street (only because I didn't want to wait until the next day and thank goodness I did). After reading all of this and seeing first hand the pohots and screen shots of the contest winner incident and the terrible hair cut on that poor little girl, I will never visit this place again. Just think if all this happend to a customer who won contest they put on to promote the business hoping to get more clients and better reviews, imagine how they treat normal paying customers. You would think this elderly woman who won the prize would have had 5 max treatment... Wow the promotion plan they made back fired big time. I am amazed. Lorraine was incredible! I had never had my eyebrows threaded before and i will admit, I was nervous. Kelly, the hair stylist there, mentioned if someone doesn't know what they're doing, it will be painful. Lorraine was awesome! It didn't hurt at all and I am COMPLETELY satisfied with the outcome. I bartend at the bar across the street and had always seen this salon but never though to stop in. I am SO happy I did. I have been sitting on this review for awhile now. I will start off with the good. The girl at the front was very polite, excellent customer service. I had bought a Groupon (60$) for this salon. The Groupon did not cover the type of color I wanted so I had to pay 120 and save the Groupon for touch up. When I got home and hair was fully dry it was literally the color of an orangutan. It was awful, not to mention I still had my grays. I made an appointment to get color corrected. The gal that tried to fix it tried and explained that the first colorist didn't dye my grays because she thought I was going to come back in 6 weeks to get them done. That doesn't even make sense. Why wouldn't I want my grays covered? I left the second time to only have to come back a third time. It was still hideous and very embarrassing to have that color. The gal tried to fix it again and it was definitely better. I took 3 trips to get a decent color. I feel the first colorist was very incompetent and ruined my hair and wasted my time. I did not have to pay for trip 2&3. I still have my Groupon and it has expired. I would rather waste my money than to go through that again. I tried to give it away and nobody wanted it because of what my hair looked like. I would say you get what you pay for but for 120 it should of at least been decent. read more
